People who "talk" extremely loud
I swear these people are either mentally ill or just desperate for attention. I can't even concentrate on what I am looking for in the store because they are so annoyingly loud. I can hear them like several aisles over, and no matter where I go in the store, they just happen to be lingering around.
Do you confront them about the situation?

Yes we were at Cici's pizza, I know it's trash shut up, and there was a school group there, a bunch of kids of course. The woman/teacher was so loud yelling at the kids who were actually quiet, we were there first and she sat down and proceeded to screech at them for anything right in my ear next to us. I was getting irritated and my partner kept looking at me with the look to not say anything but I had to, I said hey stop it really loud at the bitch. She immediately says sorry and cut it out. People need to be taken down a notch or they will keep at it. I think these were even special needs kids and they were far quieter than that cunt.

OP here.
The attention seekers are the worst, and not to sound misogynistic but it's mainly middle aged women in my experiences, constantly on their phones while shopping. Some of them are so bold as to put the call on speaker mode and hold the phone away from their ear as they peruse the store yapping away. Excuse me, you're not holding a freaking "conference call". I don't care about all the random minutiae going on in your life, nor does anyone else around you - stop forcing it on us.
By far the worse experience though was when my mother went in for colon cancer surgery a few years ago. I drove my dad up to the Cleveland Clinic, which is and hour and a half away. He's in his late 70's, and can barely walk as is. This obnoxious family (I'm talking aunts, uncles, cousins as well) came in and took up about a third of the waiting room and kept yapping away at the top of their lungs like they were having a family reunion. My dad was obviously a nervous wreck as was I, as others in there were. Then when it came time for us to wait for her while she was in recovery - we were directed to this very large two tier waiting area with all kinds of couches and TVs. This whole klan of assholes decided to sit down right next to us and start their shit again. I hear them coming, and turned around and just gave them a dirty look and yelled out "You've got to be fucking kidding me!!". They finally took the hint and all left except for the husband.

I just a couple of weeks ago fronted some vocal fry bitches in a museum for holding some screeching conversation at the top of their lungs . Dirty looks didnt phase them ,so I went right beside them and started aping their vocal fry really loudly . "Like OMG Steffie,Im so sure that he was giving you the hairy eye the other night ,etc, etc" My friend was laughing so hard he almost peed himself when they flounced off in a huff ! A fucking museum, and they were screaming like they were in a crowded bar .

My friend “Tim” has one of those loud voices that sounds like he’s addressing the room. It took me a few years to realize that he has a hearing problem, and that the loud voice enables him to hear himself.

One loud mid-20-ish squeaky voiced asshole left my place of employment about a three weeks ago. She ‘s a real Debbie Downer type who bitches and moans about everything while screeching at the top of her lungs
A little before 5pm today I hear it. HHHHIIIIIIIIIIIeeeee! She came back to visit her equally annoying twat friends.
I grabbed my coat and hit the road.

I was stuck on a plane with one of those assholes. Do you realize how loud you have to talk to be annoying two rows back on a plane? And of course I didn't have my earplugs with me. Everyone else in my row was plugged in but not me. I was forced to listen to this blowhard blowjob go on and on about what to see in Boston. I pity his poor seatmate who must have asked the question.

They're most likely mentally ill. I usually run, when I see those kinds of people. You never know when they're gonna go off.
Then again, some of them are just attention whores. "Look at me, everyone!"

I am one of those whose voice carries. I do get a lot of attention but honestly am not seeking it. As a shy child, who was constantly being told to speak up, I forced myself to learn how to project and articulate. Eventually I was no longer shy, but the impulse to make sure I am being understood remains. Sorry, OP!

I worked with a guy who was loud. He did tone it down and apologized. Turns out he came from an Italian family with five kids. Had to be loud to get his parents' attention.

I'm sure you don't want to sound misogynistic ha ha.
My beef is the damned music EVERY FUCKING restaurant blasts. I've literally had to tell them to turn it down, and they do you know.

OP, people don’t “talk loud,” but rather they talk loudly. Also, it’s not the “worse” experience, but the worst experience.
When you use poor grammar, it makes you sound stupid. Why should we listen to what a stupid person has to say?

My neighbours. They're Newfies and live across the street. When they're on their front porch talking I can hear them inside my house.

A lot of the people who are loud are, in fact, boorish assholes. I do ask that you give some of them some leeway. There are a lot of people, not always elderly, who are hard of hearing. When you are speaking, you are actually listening to yourself, and if you can't hear yourself well you speak louder. I am guilty of this sometimes, especially in a place like a restaurant where there is a high level of background noise. I speak louder as a reaction.

R33, I think that has a lot to do with people on airplanes that everyone is talking about here. If you’re not used to flying, you may overcompensate for the engine noise.

I have a couple of family members who I don't see that often. I saw two of them, separately. Both occasions involved a relatively quiet restaurant. I realized how loud my family members talk, now that I don't see them that often. One of them was discussing something kind of personal. I can be loud, but I try to adjust my volume to my surroundings, now.

The worst is in a crowded counter-service restaurant when a cashier bellows at you, expecting you to shout your order back to them while you're nowhere near the counter.

I have to admit I'm one of those loud talkers. I teach college part time, and I'm just used to projecting my voice. I've made a conscious effort in the past few years to consciously lower my voice, but sometimes I just don't remember.

The people who talk loudly are rarely hard-of-hearing.
They're generally assholes and/or cunts who think the world revolves around them. Like that bitch on the streetcar who has to let everybody on the streetcar, including the people in the back seats, hear her inane conversation on her phone. Maybe she'll be somewhat considerate and not have the person she's speaking to on speakerphone. But we'll get to lister to her frauish reactions.
