This is literally on the menu at Munch in Solon, OH

"My Wife's Tuna

Strictly white tuna, celery, & mayo."

Yeah, I'll pass on that one...

It's LITERALLY on the menu?

I'm assuming you're in middle school.

by Anonymousreply 1February 10, 2020 11:51 AM

No, but I'll gladly school you with my middle finger.

by Anonymousreply 2February 10, 2020 11:56 AM

The menu looks pretty good overall

Wy "literally" OP? Why not just say it's on the menu? Are you learning English? If so, perhaps you could learn from someone who speaks it well.

This is my base recipe for tuna salad sandwiches. I do add onion and garlic powder though.

"Why" not "wy."

My Native American name: Big Fingers, Little Phone.

How much onion and garlic powder R5? Both in the same recipe or depending on your mood? I start with the same base too, but don’t mind a little variety now and then. TIA.

I like finely chopped red onion in mine. I add dressing to it rather than mayo, avocado dressing, ranch whatever I have on hand.

Mayonnaise with sweet pickle relish mixed in, chopped onion and celery, drained tuna (give the water or oil that drains off to the cats). Serve on toasted bread with iceberg lettuce and Swiss cheese. Salt the tuna salad lightly while making the sandwich, not before (the salt draws liquid out of the celery and onions, which could make the salad runny), and sprinkle on a little cracked black pepper.

Same "recipe" makes a good sandwich using canned salmon instead of tuna (remember to give the water or oil that drains off to the cats), but use dill pickle relish instead of sweet.

R7, I add both to taste. I only use tuna in oil but drain off most of it. I love onion in tuna but the water in the onions makes it too watery/soupy. I have used dehydrated onion and let it sit overnight to re-hydrate the onions.

Pickle relish is good too but then I eliminate the garlic and onion powder.

R9, your salmon salad recipe sounds delicious! I'll have to try it for a change of pace.

I'd eat there but its on the other side of the state.

The caption says something about vegan restaurants ... tuna and mayo are now vegan?

Solon, OH -- headquarters of Stouffer's! They even have an outlet store there. Stock up on expired Lean Cuisines!

by Anonymousreply 13February 10, 2020 3:59 PM

I hate celery so substitute scallions.

by Anonymousreply 14February 10, 2020 4:09 PM

How is tuna or mayonnaise vegan?

Other than it being Ohio and stupid.
