Where is Sharon Stone's money coming from?
I was watching this recent interview with Sharon Stone and was curious how she continues to live such a luxurious life. Her Beverly Hills home is gorgeous.
How can she afford this kind of lifestyle when she hasn't had a high-profile job in over a decade?

Are you kidding? She's still gorgeous and doesn't appear to have had any awful work done on herself. I'm sure she's probably had something done, but it's been tasteful. She still works every now and then. Just not in big Hollywood movies, because the movies she used to make aren't being made by the big studios anymore.

She’s worth $60 million. She’s probably more conservative than you think. Paid cash for the house back in the day. She gets checks for her movies playing on TV etc. also I’m sure she’s stretching out that Basic Instinct sequel payday
Salary
Basic Instinct 2 (2006) $13,600,000
Last Dance (1996) $6,000,000
Diabolique (1996) $6,000,000
Casino (1995) $2,000,000
The Specialist (1994) $5,000,000
Intersection (1994) $5,000,000
Sliver (1993) $2,500,000

R16, that's probably true. She really did have to work hard to get where she got in the 90s by taking crappy roles in crappy movies. She probably knew by the time she got Basic Instinct and Casino that to be in films like this was very rare and she should savor the moment and save wisely.
It always did surprise me that, considering how beautiful she was, it took her so long to break into the mainstream. You'd think her looks alone would have made it easier for her, but it took her role in Basic Instinct to finally hit the mainstream.

Some stars are just in a position where their able to pull $$ out of their no where.
If you save wisely and put plenty of $$ away. You'll be fine financially. And just like some posters above stated. Sharon was in her 30s when she finally made it in Movies on a mainstream level. So she knew how long and hard she had work to get to where she finally reached. So when the big $$ started coming in she had restraint with her finances and didn't go crazy spending everything she earned.
Being sick and having to worry about $$ would be hell. But she's in a good place economically, so she can be sick in peace.
Hope all is well with sharon.

She has a high IQ. The woman wore a man's shirt to the Oscars once- she's tight with a buck:
"In 1998, Sharon Stone decided to forgo this entire process and simply opted for her then husband’s simple Gap button-up shirt for her Oscar attire. Of course, she styled it in the most polished way possible with a lavender Vera Wang silk skirt, but the fashion choice still came as quite the shock to red carpet fashion critics."

Sharon has had a pretty damn good career, especially for someone who has limited range. She bought that home in Beverly Hills 25+ years ago, at the peak of her fame. I'm sure it's been long paid-off. She is a smart woman, so it's reasonable to assume she has invested her money well. I don't know if she owns multiple properties, but it's common for people in her position to invest in real estate, which provides an ironclad income; any acting gigs she gets are just sugar on top—spending money.

I've always loved her. She strikes me as being a lot smarter than some would think and, like other have said, she has a healthy sense of humor and seems self-aware, which is extremely attractive. Most people who look like her, don't have those things. It might also be why, whatever surgery she has had, has been very tasteful and has just made her look like a refreshed, beautiful older woman instead of some overinflated blow up doll.

It is pretty amazing one stinking movie made her...she is world famous for one movie and maybe Casino. Shit doesn't really happen like that anymore. She truly was the most beautiful movie star of the 90's...and she is from Palookaville, Pennsylvania which to me seems about as far away from breeding grounds of great beauties.. as er.. just about anywhere.

The Filipina live-in nanny claimed that Stone banned her from reading the bible in her home and ordered her not to speak in front of the children so that they won't end up talking like her. How the heck was she supposed to communicate with them, by sign language? Stone allegedly also accused the nanny of "stealing" after Stone discovered she was collecting overtime pay for working on weekends and holidays and while traveling with the children.

I was looking for a story about the hairdresser who fired her as a client. I didn't find that, but did find a story about Bumble kicking her off their site:
[quote]Sharon Stone says her Bumble account has not been restored after she was kicked off the dating app — but the company says that it has.
[quote]A Bumble spokesperson said in a statement Monday that Stone’s profile has been restored after it was “mistakenly” blocked. The 61-year-old Golden Globe-winning actress said on Twitter the day before that Bumble closed her account and she asked, “Is being me exclusionary? Don’t shut me out the hive.”
[quote]Bumble apologized for the confusion but thought users could have viewed Stone’s profile as fake because there was no verification.
[quote]“Being the icon that she is, we can understand how so many of our users felt it was too good to be true once they noticed her profile wasn’t photo verified,” the statement said. “Photo verification is just one of the many ways to connect with confidence on Bumble.”
[quote]But on Tuesday, Stone tweeted, “.@bumble ERASED my account -they did not RESTORE it BTW,” along with the prayer hand emoji.
[quote]Stone is best known for starring in the 1992 drama “Basic Instinct” and the 1995 crime film “Casino.” She has been married twice, first to producer Michael Greenburg and then journalist Phil Bronstein, whom she divorced in 2004.
[quote]The actress’ rep didn’t immediately return an email message from the Associated Press.

r151, the best part of that story is that she was trolling for ass at 4am, which is when she contacted the company on Twitter, pissed about getting banned.
Sharon used to give reliably insane interviews from which a friend and I would create MadLibs for each other. We'd, also, make them out the stomach turning "erotic" fiction that fans would send in to Tonya Harding's official website and which she proudly posted in their own big section. Most of her site was just this gross fan written porn. This was before she tried her hand at boxing. We turned some of those into cartoons with xtranormal.

it's strange that people on here forget that many celebrities have years where they earn millions and millions of dollars. Some do blow it, but plenty hang on to a lot of it. And the income potential for someone like Sharon Stone is still over $1 mil per year during the past decade between a few small movie roles, advertising jobs, public appearances. She earned $20 million during her heyday, married a billionaire, and now makes plenty.

If you watch early interviews of Sharon Stone, you will realize that she’s actually a pretty smart girl who got stuck in sex symbol status. So she’s probably been really good with investing her money. But apparently she’s quite nutty which explains her career decline aside from her brain aneurism that she suffered. Deneuve a natural medium brown brunette. Stone a natural medium ash blonde.
Stone did some high profile commercials in Italy, she was quite popular there in the 90s and probably got paid handsomely for commercials. I think she was great in The Muse, not too heavy dramatics but with some lighthearted comedy moments.

R137 And when they don't get things comped, they act as if they should be.
In Deneuve's case, a guy recently shared that she stopped by his ice-cream truck in Paris and once handed her cone, started to walk away. The guy said, "Mademoiselle, that's €9" (holy hell, must be good ice cream) and she replied, "Mais...je suis Catherine Deneuve !" lol (true story) and the guy said, "Yes, but that's still €9" and she paid him with a huff.
Stone was asked to guest star on a US network show and while making the deal, she asked for, I think (it's been a while), double the money and maybe a massive HDTV and some other major perks, if I recall correctly. They got so annoyed with her demands, they decided to pass.
Quelle surprise !

R183 Deneuve insists on it, because she's not married, despite French societal rules. You can Google it. Try to call her Madame and the withering look you'll get from her.
R185 It really happened, but naysayers on DL is the reason we can't have decent gossip here anymore.
by Anonymous | reply 186 | February 6, 2020 9:48 AM

I have little doubt that it happened. Not just Deneuve but a lot of French women who never married insist on being called Mademoiselle because mademoiselle doesn't just suggest singlehood but also youth. As far as the story being truth, most stars (I live in Hollywood and have met many of them) are very entitled. It's not unusual for them to walk away with things you give them. I once handed Cyd Charisse a DVD of Silk Stocking for her to sign and she said thank you and started to walk away with it. Fortunately her husband Tony Martin, who was with her, stopped her and said, "I think he wants your autograph." She was very kind, asked my name and wrote "With love Cyd Charisse" on the cover. She was an older woman then but you could see that they just assume that when you hand them something, it's a keeper.

R187 Deneuve was married once in the 60s, I'm sure you already know, but I suspect it's a combination of reasons she insists on being called Mademoiselle...including being unmarried for so long and wanting to maintain that youth thing. I've seen her face when someone calls her Madame...she literally catches herself (usually) from correcting them, but it depends on who's saying it. She visibly bristles at it.
And the ice cream story is not the only time she walked away without thinking she needed to pay...but it's not from stinginess (she spends so much money!), rather a lifetime of being given so much and partially entitlement, too. Still, she's La Deneuve!
