Evans probably made more per minute of work for this commercial than he did on any Avengers film.

His Marvel money hasn't dried up yet, he's just desperate to have a job. The problem is he genuinely loves acting but is a shit actor, so he'll take whatever job he can get despite how slim the pickings are. His Marvel money will never run out. His career prospects on the other hand, well, that ship sailed the second he stepped down from playing Cap.

He's not broke, he's just desperate to be on screen. Nobody will hire him because he can't act, is difficult to work with, and refuses to show skin despite the fact that his looks are the only reason he has a career in Hollywood. He's really lucky Rian Johnson wants to fuck him, because if it weren't for Knives Out I doubt he would've worked much in 2019 (outside of the press circuit for Disney, of course). Now that he's officially done with Marvel, he's reduced to doing car commercials and shitty movies/tv on second rate streaming services like Apple+.

R9 He hates showing skin. He blames it on anxiety but I think it has more to do with his complex of being seen as a "serious actor". There's a reason why he was only shirtless in the Marvel movies once, during his first film with them. The only real nudity I think he's ever done was in Not Another Teen Movie. Everything else has been done using doubles. Nowadays he doesn't even like being shirtless on screen.

It's a shame, too, considering his body is basically his only talent.

Chris has a no-nudity clause in all of his contracts, just like Bradley Cooper.

I hope he's good with finances, because the future of his career is not looking very good. He's only been free from his Disney contract for a year or so and already the work is sparse. Knives Out is the only theatrical release he's had, everything else has been direct-to-streaming. He did The Red Sea Diving Resort which tanked and almost got him canceled since it was about Israelis being heroes, and outside of that he hadn't really done anything else this year. He has a TV show coming up on Apple+ but other than that he isn't even directing or producing anything, which is what he said he wanted to do after retiring from Marvel.

Have you seen any of the movies he wrote or produced? Watch Playing It Cool where he hires all his friends like Anthony Mackie. And he did another one with Alice Eve. It seems his genre that he loves making is romantic comedies.

How is he uncomfortable showing skin when there are gifs of him butt naked (the goods were strategically covered, of course) in Red Sea Diving Resort? He was also shirtless through a good part of that movie, and the camera wasn't shy about lingering on his chest.

He was in a thriller some years back with Kim Basinger--I think it was called "Cellular" and he was not only gorgeous, but very credible in the role.

Being a Proper Bostonian, I thought it was a funny commercial. It’s an exaggeration of the Bostonian accent—some people talk like that, but not everyone. But nonetheless, it was funny. It wasn’t just the broad A’s and R’s, but they actually did a good job on all the other sounds and inflections.
