There are more slurs and degrading comments about gay men, straight men, and straight women than about lesbians.

Lchat is barely tolerable to read. First, datalounge: nearly everyone insists they're high femme, and they ridicule people who are less femme. (This is similar to DL's "masc" obsession.) The average age appears to be about 14, and the posters overuse memes. You might be excited to find that 100 replies were added to your favorite thread overnight, but all the replies are shit: emojis, four-word responses, and memes. The only thing positive about Lchat is that at least the users aren't obsessed with age, and "you're old" isn't the go-to insult (as it is on DL). They do have a great "Facts of Life" thread for those who like to type actual sentences (and paragraphs).

As a lesbian DL is much better to read. The average age is older, and there are lots of mature people with informed opinions. And there's humor...and even warmth sometimes. Therefore, it's worth it to skip over the annoyances (the people who shriek "you're old!", the lesbian-phobes, the anti-trans obsessives, etc.)
