‘What has happened is tragic. I am heartbroken for Kobe’s family. He was a sports hero. He was also a rapist. And all of these truths can exist simultaneously.’
Evan Rachel Wood Begs Black Twitter to Dox Her

[quote]Evan Rachel Wood...Dox Her
Clearly, has no idea what "doxxing" actually is.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | January 26, 2020 8:32 PM |
Neither does R1
by Anonymous | reply 2 | January 26, 2020 8:34 PM |
True, r1. I am trying to imagine what OP actually thinks "dox" means and I can't figure it out within the context of the sentence.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | January 26, 2020 8:34 PM |
She's also mowing Rose McGowan's grass, which can only mean one thing:

[quote]True, [R1]. I am trying to imagine what OP actually thinks "dox" means and I can't figure it out within the context of the sentence.
If I had to guess, it seems like OP thinks it means something along the lines of being dogpiled or roundly attacked.
The typical twitter mob attack.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | January 26, 2020 8:42 PM |
Doesn't "dox" mean revealing someone's real identity?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | January 26, 2020 8:51 PM |
To dox her, they'd have to go find proof that she dated or hooked up with Kobe, after the rape allegations, and post it online. Just having a bunch of attacks on Twitter is just a normal Sunday in America.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | January 26, 2020 8:54 PM |
Well, that was an unnecessary tweet. Like all of them. Burn down Twitter. I don't need to hear her opinion on anything, even about her foolish marriage to Marilyn Manson, just act on Westworld, cash your check and go home.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | January 27, 2020 12:45 AM |
To dox someone is typically to publish private information about them online, usually their place of employment, phone numbers, addresses, etc.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | January 27, 2020 12:47 AM |
Mark my "Westworld" new season pass as "minus one" as I have no intention of tuning-in in the wake of Wood's callous comment. Cruel and inappropriate taunts have consequences: loss of viewers and drop in ratings.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | January 27, 2020 1:00 AM |
She's not wrong.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | January 27, 2020 1:27 AM |
I don't know if Kobe got a fair trial. It almost seemed like a shakedown for a consensual act imho. It's just tasteless to tweet it when one of his kids died with him.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | January 27, 2020 1:32 AM |
She's right. But, because he's a black celebrity who died prematurely he'll never have to answer to the twitter mobs for his crimes. For further reading see XXXTentacion and Nipsey Hustle.

She is 100% right. If you read the victim's statement Bryant's arrogance borders on sociopathy. He was an absolute jerk- During the preliminary hearing, Detective Winters testified that the accuser had been examined the day after the alleged assault by Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE) at the Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
“[The nurse] stated that there were several lacerations to the victim’s posterior fourchette or vaginal area, and two of those lacerations were approximately one centimeter in length,” testified Det. Winters. “And there were many, I believe, 2 millimeter lacerations. Too many to count… [The nurse] stated that the injuries were consistent with penetrating genital trauma. That it’s not consistent with consensual sex.”
Detective Winters further stated that the nurse told him the vaginal injuries had most likely occurred within “24 hours,” and that the accuser had “a small bruise on her left jaw line.” Also, that examiners had found “blood excretions” on Bryant’s T-shirt “to about the waistline.” The blood, testified Det. Winters, had “the same DNA profile as the victim in this case.”

"Well, that was an unnecessary tweet."
Yeah, it's what I was thinking.
Because yeah, ack in the day I read the report about genital lacerations, he's creeped me out ever since.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | January 27, 2020 2:31 AM |
OF course when a man dies and can't defend himself that's when you all pile on him. I expect a documentary within the next year.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | January 27, 2020 2:34 AM |
I loved her in the movie "Into The Forest". There is a rape scene that is horribly violent and real in that.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | January 27, 2020 2:35 AM |
Genital lacerations? Wtf? How did he do that?
by Anonymous | reply 18 | January 27, 2020 2:44 AM |
R14 I'm a man and I was pained reading that.

No one is forcing you to look at her twitter.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | January 27, 2020 5:51 AM |
No, we’re not forced to look at her Twitter, or listen to the fucking assholes here who want to redo the rape trial on DL.
You all need to STFU.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | January 27, 2020 5:57 AM |
How dare you accuse Kobe of raping a woman so hard she had to be sent to the hospital and treated for genital lacerations! Don't you know that black men aren't capable of rape? Only the white devil is capable of such a heinous crime! The girl was obviously lying and looking to take advantage of a strong black man! This is racism!
by Anonymous | reply 22 | January 27, 2020 6:47 AM |
R21 are you ok??
by Anonymous | reply 23 | January 27, 2020 8:49 AM |
What I don't understand about this take is that if he is a rapist why do we care that he's a sports hero? It doesn't seem worth acknowledging.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | January 27, 2020 8:54 AM |
R24 Because both his race and his celebrity block MeToo from affecting him.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | January 27, 2020 9:05 AM |
R24 nails it. Add in sports celebrity.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | January 27, 2020 9:16 AM |
They both agreed the sex was consensual up until she claimed that she said stop. He claimed at that point he did stop and requested to come on her face. She claimed that he didn’t. She refused to testify. They had to drop the case. What more could be done? Should every man accused of rape or sexual assault suffer for the rest of his life, regardless of the legal outcome. That’s bullshit. False accusations may be rare but they do happen. Wealthy celebs are always going to be obvious targets.

Nonobstetric vaginal lacerations differ greatly from lacerations sustained during childbirth and are generally classified into two types. The first type is relatively minor and is associated with normal sexual intercourse or the first experience of sexual intercourse.1 These lacerations usually resolve with minimal treatment. The second type of laceration is deeper and more extensive, often resulting in copious vaginal bleeding. This condition can be life threatening and requires immediate intervention.

It's interesting none of the media seems to be retrying the case at the present time.

Wasn’t she Marilyn Manson’s mistress when he was married to Dita Von Teese?
by Anonymous | reply 34 | January 27, 2020 1:32 PM |
Yes
by Anonymous | reply 35 | January 27, 2020 1:42 PM |
At the time I remember reading the documents about the case and thinking it wasn't rape. Just because she accused doesn't mean it was true. These days that's all it takes.

She assumes some of his fans knows the history of his rape case. Many are too young to even know this was a thing. And since she used the excuse that she didn't read Dylan Farrow's letter or knew of the accusations against Woody Allen until after she worked with him, then she should give others the benefit of the doubt.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | January 27, 2020 2:00 PM |
I only vaguely recalled the sex assault claim. So I looked back. Granted, what I read was on Wikipedia but it was one of the better footnoted and source entries. It was a complicated case. I came away with the impression that much of what motivated Evan Rachel Wood would have to be I believe victims dogma. I am not convinced based on what I read that this is as posthumously cut and dried as some claim.

I seem to remember his wife was sporting the Rock of Gibraltar on her finger shortly after. I think it was consensual until it was not. I also remember reading about his friendship with Arianna Huffington which they formed later after connecting through transcendental meditation. He appears to have grown and changed.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | January 27, 2020 2:26 PM |
I never liked him. Always thought he was an arrogant asshole before the rape. Cheated on his wife. She stayed for the money. Sad that his daughter and other people died. All he did was play basketball. A shocking death, but aren't they all?
by Anonymous | reply 41 | January 27, 2020 2:36 PM |
R41 There were rumors that his wife only married him for his money, so of course she would stay.
One variation was that Vanessa's mom pushed them together, and then threatened to have Kobe arrested for sleeping with her when she was underage to get him to marry her. Kobe and Vanessa were married a month before her 19th birthday.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | January 27, 2020 3:03 PM |
Kobe admitted his first date with Vanessa was in 1999. She was born in 1982.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | January 27, 2020 3:06 PM |
What's wrong with that?
by Anonymous | reply 44 | January 27, 2020 3:12 PM |
[quote] Kobe admitted his first date with Vanessa was in 1999. She was born in 1982.
He was 21 and she was 17. And guess what. Relationships between 17 and 21 yr olds are happening on college campuses all over the country.
[quote] All he did was play basketball.
Bryant was one of the most accomplished athletes in the world and he was also very accomplished outside of the world of basketball, including speaking fluent Italian and winning an Academy Award. But you’re right it’s not like he was really anyone really important or special. Like the wealthy white society matrons who buy expensive clothes and socialize and whose deaths Datalounge consider to be international tragedies.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | January 27, 2020 6:13 PM |
Nobody had to push Kobe to marry Vanessa. His parents tried to stop him from marrying her as they thought he was too young and that she was a golddigger. She was a music video girl when they first met. Once the sexual assault charges came up, she earned their respect by standing by him. They never spoke to her until after that.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | January 27, 2020 6:31 PM |
Well if she was a gold-digger, she's won the prize! She's the Widow Bryant!
Too bad about the kid, though.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | January 27, 2020 7:00 PM |
r33 Every gay and gay-bi has it very hard, and every one who has often been incorrectly suspected of being gay or gay-bi. It's much worse to be gay or gay-bi than to be black, for males it's even a biological advantage to be black.

He was not a rapist because he was not found guilty in a court of law. I truly believe this broad was out for a payday because this man never had any other accusers come forward. He might have had rough sex with her, but it was consensual. And he settled out of court to get rid of this bitch.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | January 27, 2020 8:22 PM |
R51 Would you say the same about Brett Kavanaugh? Or Brock Turner? How about Harvey Weinstein?
by Anonymous | reply 52 | January 27, 2020 8:25 PM |
He was found guilty and paid through the nose to his accuser.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | January 27, 2020 8:29 PM |
I swear I read someone told him to buy his wife a huge diamond ring after the alleged rape.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | January 27, 2020 8:46 PM |
[quote] He might have had rough sex with her, but it was consensual.
What makes you think the "rough" part of the sex was consensual, R51?
In his police interview, he said he was used to having rough sex / strangulation habit with his regular secret mistress - but he's a real idiot for pushing rough sex with a 19-y.o. total stranger he JUST met. He didn't say she agreed to be roughed up. He didn't say they discussed this fetish in advance. It seems he just went for his choke habit - worst idea ever when having sex with a total stranger in their late teens who can be intimidated by a person who is 6'6' tall suddenly strangling them.

in a field like acting, one should never become more well-known for their (at times, stupid) opinions than for the quality of their work.
no one will ever be able to stop seeing the actress behind the performance, instead of the character being performed. and you turn away potential admirers in your chosen profession, for what? for becoming another dumb opinionated troll just as they are.
