Tom Hanks made all the comic actors want to do “serious” after Philadelphia, and Robin Williams after Garp.
Who watches Garp nowadays? So much praise for that movie but you never see it air the way you see Fargo, Alien, Silence of the Lambs, Terms of Endearment, Steel Magnolias.
