Biden is toast. Sanders is going to be the nominee.
Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden Now Tied For Black Support

Here are two truths for you to crow about: If Sanders is the nominee, we will lose. That is guaranteed. And the Trump campaign, through Brad Parscale's efforts, and with assistance from the Russians, are actively manipulating the situation for Bernie to gain in support. They WANT him to be their opponent. So all the Bernie-bots and Trump-bots can post all the bullshit they want. They can keep being divisive, and promoting "fights" between the democratic candidates, but if we do not vote for the person who can beat Trump we are fools and deserve every horrific thing that happens. Elections have consequences.

Gurl... maybe let's wait until the first four states vote, shall we?
And I can't with all these national polls when the primary isn't a national process. I guarantee you Iowans aren't looking at these polls, or they wouldn't have gone with Kerry and Obama back in the day.

"Biden has been particularly vocal about his support from African American voters, telling the audience at a November Democratic debate, 'I come out of the black community.'"
Biden needs to stop saying shit like this. If he thinks it's going to go over well with African-Americans, well, he's wrong. It's insulting and patronizing.

This is fake news. For starters, the Ipsos poll is famously biased towards Sanders
Most importantly, the biggest and most respected poll on this is the Washington Post poll which came out just last week, questioning African Americans exclusively. It showed Biden with 48% of black support vs 20% for Sanders, that is two and a half times more support.

Lying won’t make it so. What’s the difference between Bernie and tRump? Spelling.

Bernie Sanders' civil rights record is impressive. He can get both union towns and AA communities, high turn out. This is what the polling data show. Bernie is the best option, if the DNC actually wants to win.

Bernie is the liberal version of tRump

The Fake news keeps on coming, next we'll see a pro Bernie story about how he has more support among republicans than Trump.

Bernie doesn't have a civil rights record. How could he when he didn't even vote until he was 40, long after the civil rights era was over?

What R1 said. If anyone thinks Sanders is going to beat Trump in the south, in the midwest, in swing states like Ohio ,etc., they're beyond deluded.

[quote] If anyone thinks Sanders is going to beat Trump in the south, in the midwest, in swing states like Ohio ,etc., they're beyond deluded.
This is EXACTLY what happened in 2016 when he went up against Hillary and refused to concede until long after it was obvious she was the nominee. Bernie fans continue to say "the DNC rigged the primaries" for decades to come.

R11, Ohio, Texas, Florida, Indiana, the rest of the Mideast and the South, etc., are NOT going to vote for Sanders against Trump. If Sanders wins the primary, he's going to be going up against Trump in the general and NONE of those states will vote for Sanders.
THAT'S truth.

*midwest

R12, I know, that's what I was trying to say, my post was poorly worded. Sanders was destroyed in the deep south when up against Hillary. He never stood a chance. And he refused to concede until long after it was obvious he lost.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | January 23, 2020 7:30 PM |
Ah well, then R14, thanks for clarifying. That was indeed the case. If Sanders is the nominee, Trump wins.
