Take some pictures!!
by Anonymous | reply 2 | January 16, 2020 4:15 AM |
Sounds like fun.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | January 16, 2020 4:32 AM |
OP, you spelled FAG wrong.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | January 16, 2020 4:49 AM |
Who will you be wearing?
by Anonymous | reply 5 | January 16, 2020 4:52 AM |
I might be slightly ENVIOUS, but not JEALOUS.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | January 16, 2020 5:01 AM |
R2 I'll try, but SAG is really strict on that and I don't want to get in trouble.
R5 I got the tickets so last minute that I had to pull a suit from my wardrobe to get dry cleaned. It's a Ralph Lauren. Couldn't get a tux, even though I wanted to rent one.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | January 16, 2020 5:21 AM |
Have a great time OP.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | January 16, 2020 5:26 AM |
Are you going to an after party too?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | January 16, 2020 5:28 AM |
Have they a new award for Cuntiest Datalounge Poster?
by Anonymous | reply 10 | January 16, 2020 5:30 AM |
R8 Thank you.
R9 I'm assuming SAG is going to have an official after party, but I have not been invited to anyone else's. I would like to be.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | January 16, 2020 5:48 AM |
Nope cuz I will be at the Oscars
by Anonymous | reply 12 | January 16, 2020 5:58 AM |
Did you lose a bet? No.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | January 16, 2020 6:03 AM |
A bit. Please, report back.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | January 16, 2020 6:18 AM |
Can you accept tips?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | January 16, 2020 6:19 AM |
You poor thing.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | January 16, 2020 6:21 AM |
Are you going to collect some celebs' pubic hairs and shit stains and sell them on eBay?
by Anonymous | reply 17 | January 16, 2020 6:31 AM |
Sorry, OP, nobody cares that you're going.
They all want to know if J-Lo will show up after the Oscar snub.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | January 16, 2020 6:56 AM |
Ask all the ladies if you can get them something to eat.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | January 16, 2020 6:59 AM |
SAG has seat fillers?
by Anonymous | reply 20 | January 16, 2020 7:04 AM |
OP, You might be a bit lonely. The SAG Awards are the 26th.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | January 16, 2020 7:05 AM |
Nope, not jellie.
Hope u have fun. Whatcha wearin’,, OP?
by Anonymous | reply 23 | January 16, 2020 7:15 AM |
We're just funin' ya OP have fun and report back. Kiss Brad Pitt for luck and say it's from us.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | January 16, 2020 9:28 AM |
We're all very happy for you Glenn. Will you be wearing the gold dress again?
by Anonymous | reply 25 | January 16, 2020 10:22 AM |
[quote] I had to pull a suit from my wardrobe to get dry cleaned. It's a Ralph Lauren.
Oh my.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | January 16, 2020 10:29 AM |
I'm an introvert, so you're describing something I'd hate. Still, have fun and bring back some tea.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | January 16, 2020 12:02 PM |
Only if you see Adam Driver.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | January 16, 2020 12:11 PM |
Thanks for the well wishes for those who gave them. I'll give a longer update post when I get back.
R14 I'll report back when I get back from LA. I'm NY based, so I'm leaving tomorrow afternoon and then staying around for a few days after.
R20 No. SAG has a lottery for all registered union members to enter to win tickets to attend the award ceremony. I entered it in October and didn't win the initial drawing last month. However, a few days ago, they called me and told me they did another drawing and I won it. That's why I only knew I was going so last minute. I used some flight miles to book a ticket, got a last minute hotel deal and I'll be on my way to LA. Bonus is I'll be avoiding the snow this weekend.
R21 It's this Sunday.
R26 That gif link doesn't work, but it says "snooty." I don't think it's that snooty considering most everyone else is going to be wearing thousand dollar tuxedos. If anything, I'm legitimate fearful that I'll be way underdressed. The union reps said a black suit is fine, but still, I feel like I'm going to stand out like a sore thumb and for the wrong reasons.
R27 I'm an introvert too, which is why I have a date going with me. He is much more social and a good schmoozer. Plus, I might know people when I get there, so that'll ease my anxiety.

Please wave at us!

Oh Honey if Billy Porter is going, you have nothing to worry about.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | January 16, 2020 3:44 PM |
Can't wait for the updates!
by Anonymous | reply 32 | January 16, 2020 4:10 PM |
[quote] Please wave at us!
And if you can’t, send us a signal somehow.
Maybe stand up and present hole.
Or just be boring and tug on your ear.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | January 16, 2020 4:11 PM |
Pick up a dirty slut and eat her out.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | January 17, 2020 3:13 AM |
The correct answer is "What is jealous BITCHES?"
by Anonymous | reply 35 | January 17, 2020 3:31 AM |
well the SAG awards is much better than that queen that was on here talking about going to the fucking GLADD awards earlier. He was just bragging on and on about it.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | January 17, 2020 3:42 AM |
I am. I've always wanted to go to an awards show.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | January 17, 2020 5:20 AM |
Not especially.
I've been to the Globes and the Emmys and a million other events.
The actors are insecure narcissists who don't know how to be friends.
The money for what I do isn't great.
I'd be jealous if I hadn't had my own experiences, but I have.
No, I don't envy you.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | January 17, 2020 5:30 AM |
Have fun, OP. Have a good meal beforehand so your blood sugar doesn’t drop and try to enjoy yourself and report back here!
by Anonymous | reply 39 | January 17, 2020 8:29 AM |
OP, your responses are too adorable to hate! Have a great time. I’m curious to know the beauties of the night.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | January 17, 2020 10:19 AM |
[quote] about going to the fucking GLADD awards earlier
Oh, dear!
by Anonymous | reply 41 | January 17, 2020 10:31 AM |
OP here. Just landed in LA and settling into my hotel. Tomorrow I have prep stuff to do outfit and hair wise, but I'm ready to go for the most part. I am a little bit nervous as the event approaches, but hopefully those jitters will subside and I'll have a good time.
[Quote] The actors are insecure narcissists who don't know how to be friends.
Agreed, based on seeing how they are on set. I'm not going to make friends. I hope to have a good time, have a unique experience and maybe doing some networking with agents or producers if any prominent ones show up.
I'll give you all updates sometime after the ceremony. Hopefully, I can snap some discrete photos as well.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | January 18, 2020 4:17 AM |
You’re taking PReP, OP?
by Anonymous | reply 43 | January 18, 2020 2:58 PM |
Good luck, OP!
Glenn Close will be presenting so give her our love!
by Anonymous | reply 44 | January 18, 2020 3:00 PM |
[quote] I'll give you all updates sometime after the ceremony. Hopefully, I can snap some discrete photos as well.
AFTER? Everyone in that room will have their phones in hand.
[quote]I am a little bit nervous as the event approaches, but hopefully those jitters will subside and I'll have a good time.
Unless you are nominee calm down. Don't confuse nervousness with excitement! Have a great time.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | January 18, 2020 5:02 PM |
Neither jealous nor envious
(had to be done, haven't seen an 'envious' post in a while)
by Anonymous | reply 46 | January 18, 2020 5:06 PM |
Cough really loud at the beginning when Sarah Paulson is telling the camera how she got her SAG card.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | January 18, 2020 5:09 PM |
OP,
No.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | January 18, 2020 5:09 PM |
If you see Andrew Scott tell us how tall he is.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | January 18, 2020 5:16 PM |
Speak for yourself R44
by Anonymous | reply 50 | January 18, 2020 5:18 PM |
bumping
by Anonymous | reply 51 | January 19, 2020 5:03 PM |
I can't wait for their Velveeta intros: I'm Taron Egerton and I'm an "actor"
by Anonymous | reply 52 | January 19, 2020 5:32 PM |
I'm Taron Egerton and I blew half of SAG to get this nomination!
by Anonymous | reply 53 | January 19, 2020 5:43 PM |
Oh, you’re a glorified seat filler. Have a ball.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | January 19, 2020 6:07 PM |
R54 couldn't even get a gig as a seat filler
by Anonymous | reply 55 | January 19, 2020 8:15 PM |
This is OP. I know I said I would write an update in a few days, but I figured I’d give you all a quick update now. sitting in my seat watching this. Food was a salad, nothing else, but lots of booze. I’m currently drunk as fuck. Hope to sober up soon. Having a good time so far. I’ll share more later.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | January 20, 2020 12:33 AM |
Is anybody watching?
by Anonymous | reply 57 | January 20, 2020 12:52 AM |
No, OP, I’m going to the Sarah Siddon’s Award. It’s not as crowded.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | January 20, 2020 1:03 AM |
OP, thanks for the updates. I for one sure am interested to hear how it all goes.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | January 20, 2020 1:06 AM |
Thanks for taking the time to post OP. Glad you’re having a good time.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | January 20, 2020 1:14 AM |
Just a quick note. I saw Joaquin Phoenix in the bathroom. Didn’t think it was right to to go up to him there. Maybe later.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | January 20, 2020 1:21 AM |
R61, sizemeat?
by Anonymous | reply 62 | January 20, 2020 1:22 AM |
[Quote]Food was a salad, nothing else, but lots of booze
Heh, sounds perfect for SAG.
You think they are going to serve pizza and fries to a bunch of actors? They don't eat.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | January 20, 2020 1:29 AM |
The Screen Actors Guild Awards will shift a week earlier than planned and avoid airing at the same time as the Grammy Awards.
Organizers announced the shift Thursday (July 25) and that the show, which honors the best performances in film and television, will be broadcast live Jan. 19 on TNT and TBS.
The SAG Awards are voted on by acting guild members and are a reliable indicator of who will win acting honors at the Academy Awards.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | January 20, 2020 1:35 AM |
It’s been incredibly boring so far and I’m so far away that I can’t see much. The booze helps. Did take pics that I’ll share tomorrow or sometime this week. I hope to do more schmoozing with my date at the after party. We already talked with Al Pacino and the cast of Stranger Things. Hope to see bigger stars later, if they stick around.
by Anonymous | reply 65 | January 20, 2020 1:38 AM |
Are Aniston’s nipples visible in person like they are on TV?
by Anonymous | reply 66 | January 20, 2020 1:39 AM |
How is it possible to network at an event where everyone is there to network? It seems like there would be way too much chaos to make an impression without presenting hole.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | January 20, 2020 1:40 AM |
R67 You’d be amazed at how easy it is to go up and talk to these people once you get in. I was shocked with how brazen my date was going up to these people, but it worked.
I can’t upload photos now as the cell phone service sucks. I’ll try tomorrow.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | January 20, 2020 2:06 AM |
Thanks OP for thinking of the rest of us at home, appreciate the updates!
by Anonymous | reply 69 | January 20, 2020 3:02 AM |
Op go shag Andrew Scott pls!
by Anonymous | reply 70 | January 20, 2020 3:08 AM |
God, OP! Please give Luke Kirby a kiss for me!
by Anonymous | reply 71 | January 20, 2020 3:23 AM |
I'm not surprised that it's easy to go up and talk to people. First, it's a "safe place" in that it's a private, secure controlled environment for the event and everyone there is an actor or assumed to be. I mean I can see someone like a Charlize Theron or Reese Witherspoon getting snippy, but I bet most of the guys in that room are friendly and accessible. Pacino always seems accessible. I can see running into him in NYC on the street and talking to him.
by Anonymous | reply 72 | January 20, 2020 3:27 AM |
Just got back to the hotel. Most of the celebrities did not stick around for the People after party, so it was kind of a bust. The music kinda sucked, but we stayed around for a bit. Saw Tony Shaloub, the midget from Game of Thrones and that guy Jack from 30 rock there. Will share more details tomorrow. I had fun.
by Anonymous | reply 73 | January 20, 2020 5:08 AM |
Glad to hear that you had a great time, OP.
by Anonymous | reply 74 | January 20, 2020 6:30 AM |
Sounds great, OP! It sounds like the winners were at that party to get their trophies engraved?
by Anonymous | reply 75 | January 20, 2020 6:38 AM |
Me too
by Anonymous | reply 76 | January 20, 2020 6:54 AM |
OP, did you see Leonardo up close? If so, what was he like?
by Anonymous | reply 77 | January 20, 2020 7:05 AM |
OP, you were there and yo7 never saw the excitement of Brad Pitt running into Jennifer Aniston, and both of them winning awards? Were you really there?
All those stars and they almost all skipped the party? OK then.
by Anonymous | reply 78 | January 20, 2020 7:15 AM |
I saw Dan Weiss from Game of Thrones at the cast table with Sophie Turner and Nicolaj Coster Waldau, but I didn't see David Benioff. I don't think Peter Dinklage sat with them. Maybe I'm wrong. I read the other day that it has been confirmed that their project called "Confederate" is dead and buried. Not ever happening. And I'm really glad.
by Anonymous | reply 79 | January 20, 2020 1:29 PM |
Who THE FUCK cares?
The only true award is the Oscar and then only for Actor/Actress/Director/Movie/Writer
The rest are filler.
by Anonymous | reply 80 | January 20, 2020 1:33 PM |
[quote] the midget from Game of Thrones
Oh my.
by Anonymous | reply 81 | January 20, 2020 2:30 PM |
You should have, R61. Joaquin did it in Joker. It would've been life imitating art. He would've appreciated it.
by Anonymous | reply 82 | January 20, 2020 2:52 PM |
Morning people. I woke up with such a horrible hangover and I’m still recovering. I don’t think I’ve ever drank as much as I did last night. I’ll share more details later, but I wanted to share this photo of Glenn Close first to a) prove once and for all I was actually there and b) give you an idea of how far I was seated. Granted, I wasn’t in the back back, but far enough away that hobknobbing during the show was impossible. Look for more details and pics later on today.
by Anonymous | reply 83 | January 20, 2020 4:27 PM |
Congrats on a night of fun, gawking, and free booze, OP!
Any of us would have jumped at the chance.
by Anonymous | reply 84 | January 20, 2020 4:33 PM |
What R84 said.
by Anonymous | reply 85 | January 20, 2020 4:34 PM |
How did you end up going anyway, OP? In the industry? Escort?
by Anonymous | reply 86 | January 20, 2020 4:59 PM |
R78, not OP, but I've been to a lot of these things and the A-listers usually hang around. They and their entourages bolt; not sure where they go, but they don't stay.
by Anonymous | reply 87 | January 20, 2020 5:01 PM |
R87, here; sorry, DON'T hang around.
by Anonymous | reply 88 | January 20, 2020 5:01 PM |
A lot of those SAG members had to work today. They don't usually have late night parties like the GG and Oscars.
I met Joaquin Phoenix at the Toronto Film Festival. Maybe 14 years ago? Really nice guy. No, I did not ask for an autograph.
by Anonymous | reply 89 | January 20, 2020 6:47 PM |
I imagine there are social gatherings at private homes or in hotel suites. Maybe a private dining room at a restaurant . De Niro and his friends probably celebrated with something more substantial than the meagre salads SAG provided.
by Anonymous | reply 90 | January 20, 2020 6:51 PM |
Not really. But have a time. Get some Glossip.
by Anonymous | reply 91 | January 20, 2020 6:58 PM |
