I'm doing some research on an antique I bought and Google isn't turning up shit.
Is Bing better? Or Explorer? Any suggestions?

Why don't you just try it? It isn't like it costs anything.

It depends on what you are looking for. Bing is bong.

I am aware of the general black sheep of the family status that Bing has, but I actually prefer it to google. And recently bing got cred for having better results for porn related searches, for what that is worth.

I've found that Yandex often gives more hits than Bing, Google, etc.

Have you tried the card catalog at your local library?

Somehow the fact that Yankdex is a russian corporation gives me pause and figure that it might not be an option that I would pursue. After all, I am not the president of the usa, with all those duties to shore up the ruskies.

Sadly, I have to agree that Yandex is currently the best. Google has completely fucked their image search.

I have fallen in love with Ecosia and it is now my primary search engine. Also OP, if you have access to the browser extension Imagus you should install it. Makes getting images so easy. You just hover over the image (even a thumbnail in most cases) and the image will pop up in a raised frame and you need only to then press ctrl s to save it to your hard drive.
I will never go back to Google again.

Yes indeed, we too use "cookies." Take a look at our privacy/terms or if you just want to see the damn site without all this bureaucratic nonsense, click ACCEPT. Otherwise, you'll just have to find some other site for your pointless bitchery needs.
