Liza Minnelli Antidotes
Inspired by this exchange on the -I’m At The Townhouse- thread: ‘Outside smoking. Limo just pulled by. I thought it would stop and Lizzzzsssshhhaaa would come out. No such luck’
‘It probably was Liza. And she said to her driver, "Oh, Fritz, you know I can't manage stairs anymore. Head over to Studio 54 and we'll see what's buzzing there."’
Post anything Liza/Lisha as long as it’s entertaining.

My favorite "antidote" involving Liza is when she married David Gest. Elton John was asked what he was going to get Liza as a wedding present. Without missing a beat Elton replied, "A heterosexual man" I understand Liza was not pleased, but I think it was funny as hell

Someone posted here years ago about Liza and Michael Jackson being at some event, maybe 54, and Liza was high as fuck and Michael complimented her on her hair and Liza said he could have it and she pulled off her wig and all she had were a few wispy hairs on her scalp. Apparently Michael Jackson was aghast.

Cabaret was on TCM yesterday. It wasn't really a stretch for her to play Sally Bowles as Liza is pretty much Sally Bowles incarnate. It was a real tragedy she won the Oscar over Miss Ross.

R12, I agree that Ross should have won but she was also playing herself. There was no Billie Holiday in sight.

She was wonderful in Cabaret -- she's not good looking and can't dance, but her voice and charisma ...

That might be my favorite thread title since "I Think Jaclyn Smith needs and MRI or something."

One of Joan Jett's style icons and personal heroes.
She saw her in Cabaret as a kid and loved it and her.
She sweetly brags about being friends with Liza these days.

Freddie Mercury thought she was fabulous so that's enough for me.
