He's an interesting guy. It seems like he's steering away from acting for a bit to focus on other life ventures. He's done quite a few TED Talks recently.

I like him. Like James Franco I-was disappointed he wasn’t gay. That tight rope movie was an embarrassing flop and critics came down on him hard but it wasn’t that bad.

Im glad he took a break. Dude has been on TV and film for almost 30 years!

I actually used to have some mutual friends with him (although I've never met him personally), and even still know a couple people who interact with him occassionally. By all accounts, he's very grounded and averse to the "Hollywood Machine," as one might call it. I grew up watching him on Third Rock and always thought he was very much at the prodigy level, being able to keep up with much more experienced comedians without coming across as the doofy kid actor. There was just something about him on that show that made it very clear he wasn't your typical kid who would grow up to be some Hollywood douche. He had not just talent, but a knack that allowed him, as a kid, to blend well with adult performers.

I have to say, I really respect him as an actor and a person for his ideology. I appreciate that he thinks Hollywood is sleazy and the concept of celebrity and the film industry raking in as much as it does as being ludicrous. According to people who know him, he just truly dislikes that aspect so much that he prefers to stay away from any vehicle that is remotely connected to the sleazy Hollywood machine.

Dark but good movie. JGL was his most gorgeous as twink hustler in the strange Mysterious Skin. I love the scene when he first gets to the city and is amazed when a genuine hot muscular dude pays him to top.

I think John Cameron Mitchell was full of shit. If he had a chance to have a well know mainstream actor perform hardcore in his film, he would have jumped at it instead of hiring nobodies.

I wish the Nolan Batman franchise would continue with JGL taking on the Caped Crusader role. I just re-watched Dark Knight Rises and he was very good in it.

Agreed r66. They really had something there that could have worked for at least one movie, though they would need to add another person like a Bat Girl to help balance out the movie. People think I'm crazy but I prefer Dark Night Rises over the previous 2 films. JGL is a major factor along with the general drama of it all. Dark Knight is unquestionably a better film.
