Taylor-Johnson's win backfired: it clearly looked like Ford had bought it for him, especially since it was not a very noteworthy performance in a weak film.

I don't think it will backfire on Egerton in the same way (it was a weak field this year, and he did work hard in the role) , but that's the end of his wins for this awards season.

I think Taron will get an Oscar nomination in part because of Rami’s win last year. People keep putting Leo DiCaprio and Robert DeNiro on their final lists, but I don’t think either of them will be nominated.

I watched him with an American accent in "Billionaire Boys Club" co-starring Spacey. And I know there was anal behind the scenes.

I just watched and Hanks, Renee’s and Phoenix speeches wasn’t so bad. I’m a big fan of good hearted Patricia she needs to tone down the cleavage. This is all a tempest in a teapot. The Golden Globes are the only award that divide up into Comedy/Musical and Drama. Taron won for performance in comedy/musical.

For the rest, SAG and Oscars, it's only one category. There is no way he would win over Driver or Phoenix.

Amy Poehler (who I don't see as funny at all -- just angry and she PUNCHES those zingers) won for Parks & Rec, but she never won an Emmy for it.

Sure, there are plenty of folks who have won both. I'm just saying that we're more likely to see repeat winners at the Emmys year after year than someone win both an Emmy and a GG in the same year.
