John Waters Double Feature on TCM on Jan. 10th!

About fucking time! Multiple Manics and Female Trouble. Hope they're the remastered versions from Criterion.

Sweet.

Love Female Trouble but Multiple Maniacs is stupid and a waste of film stock.

by Anonymousreply 2January 3, 2020 10:11 PM

Agreed, r2. Multiple Maniacs has a few interesting and funny set pieces but it's by far Waters' weakest film. I'd rather see a double feature of Female Trouble and Desperate Living.

Pecker was okay. Edward Furlong was still cute, he kind of looked like a younger (early 20's) Brent Corrigan in that film. But Cecil B. Demented was the worst.

I actually liked Cecil B. Demented, but that's mostly because I'd watch Melanie Griffith in anything. My least favorite JW film would have to be Hairspray. I actually thought the musical version was an improvement over the original.
