For anyone wondering how OP picture came to be; Furlong & Jeremy have a long acquaintance/friendship, dating back to the shooting of the movie DETROIT ROCK CITY (1999) in which they both starred. Apparently they’ve kept in touch all these years, which I guess is sweet in the most insane & grimy Hollyweird way imaginable.

In the scene they share in the final cut of the movie, Jeremy plays the sleazy owner & sometime-DJ of the strip-joint that Furlong’s slackjawed rocker teen character enters to make money in a Ladies’ Night strip contest. Furlong’s character gets wasted on drinks bought for him by a MILF, vomits copiously into a waitress’ pitcher due to nerves, then strips (awkwardly) to his Gene Simmons boxers (really) while KISS ‘Strutter’ is playing (on vinyl!). Furlong was around 21 at the time they shot it, and was dating his co-star (but not love interest) in the movie Natasha Lyonne. It’s...really something.

Detroit Rock City is pretty funny, although it bombed at the box office. I forgot Jeremy was in it. Predictably, it was filmed in Toronto, not Cleveland and Detroit.

I know Ron Jeremy is a big name in porn but I’ve always wondered is being in a movie with him like a punishment for female performers or Is it something you do when your career is over?

Ugh! I used to have such a crush on him in Terminator when I was in middle school. Someone needs to get him on the biggest loser, stat! Somehow a miracle could emerge, and his hotness salvaged?

I haven't met Ron Jeremy, but my husband has a few times. Very nice guy, apparently. The type who always remembers your name. Laid back and friendly. I'll always love him for how sweet he was with Tammy Faye when they were on the Surreal Life together.

As for Furlong...so tragic.

Terminator fans forget that Furlong abused his wife and then violated restraining orders she put on him. They have a 14 year old son together who I assume/hope Furlong never sees. Maybe Ethan can hang out with Zen Feldman and commiserate each other.

Stahl was the better John Connor, and he has hung onto his pretty looks & his talent even with similar addiction issues.

I'll always love Furlong for trying to liberate those lobsters from some supermarket in Kentucky a while ago. That was one of the funniest celeb stories I've ever heard of.

Director of 'Brainscan', John Flynn said this about the Furlong:

R37 as much as I agree that Furlong isn’t winning awards here and that he has an odious personality, that quote was a shitty thing for a Director to say about an abused kid with no training who was the breadwinner for his grifting family. The criticism stands now Furlong is an adult with his own family who has made his own awful choices without trying to make amends, but back then he was still junior high age and being molested by his handler as well as being told go out and work non-regulation hours plus promo. Not cool.

R39 I think it may have been in frustration with all the fan-boying that Edward Furlong was receiving, and probably wasn't helpful.

The reality was he couldn't act, and perhaps for his sake, he should have been more grateful, learnt to act, and he may have ended up in a better position. But to say he was great, when he wasn't, to go with the consensus, may have fueled his ego and issues.

I would say more people probably should have given him a reality check, in real time.

It depresses me so much to think that Furlong makes more money doing the convention circuit than I do at my 9-5 behaving like a respectable person. Plus the fact that he’s had fifty second chances and blown them all to date. I understand CSA/neglect is no joke and addiction is a bitch, but still he’s a lucky SOB.

It's been 25 years since Jeremy was even remotely fuckable, but he looks particularly old and decrepit there.

Unless it’s all just star power and good drug connections. I can only think that’s the reason Lyonne was ever with him shooting DRC. She even had a choice of three other co-stars with equal billing who are younger, better-looking/in better shape and nicer more professional men by all accounts.

Furlong looks like the Indigo Girls made a baby together.

Real question: why did Furlong’s voice never drop and why did his masculine features never emerge? It’s weird.
