“Into the Dark: Midnight KISS” Trailer - Hulu Gay themed Horror Film drops 12/27

Not a movie, but the fourth episode in a horror anthology series "Into the Dark", which is in its second season currently.

R1 It's feature-length, so, yes, it's a movie. Just like any other Made-for-TV movie.

"Into the Dark" is not an anthology series like "American Horror Story" with season-long story arcs. Instead, it's a series of individual movies. They call them 'episodes' because they release one per month, thematically tied to that month's holiday. You don't need to have seen any previous entry/episode nor do you need to watch any subsequent ones. Individual. Movies.

"Midnight Kiss" is the New Year's entry for the second season and the 16th episode overall. It was directed by out director Carter Smith ("The Ruins", "Jamie Marks is Dead").

This looks like fun.

How do we know they cast only gay/bi actors? I thought Lukas Gage was straight.

Saw it and liked it, though it was obvious who the killer was early on. Really liked Augustus Prew in this.

R6 I know at least three of the actors are gay, Scott Evans, Augustus Prew and Chester Lockhart. Not so sure about the others.

Interestingly Scott Evans and Augustus Prew play together in another movie too.

RE: does this mean queer actors can't play straight? Queer actors can play anything but straight and the point is that the film industry should now progress toward making more LGBTQ+ content. If there were more diverse gay stories and films then gay actors only playing gay roles wouldn't be an issue. I know that's still far off, though.

Augustus primarily plays straight characters. His now-husband Jeffery Self had to check a writer who lamented that CBS didn't have any openly gay lead actors on their shows the year Augustus was headlining a medical drama.

I lost my point. His character was straight.

This one was terrible. The “films” in this series never have enough content to justify their running length; almost all of them would work better as 1 hr long episodes.

It looks like Scott Evans and Augustus Prew have been cast in yet another movie together.

Actualy, my bad, this is actually the same movie they were in that was released limited release last year as "Sell By"
