Does anyone know when Season Three is starting?
"The Windsors" comedy on BBC

Well OP it’s not a BBC show, it’s a Channel 4 show. When season 3 was announced they said it was coming late 2019. So seeing as there’s less than a week left, I guess they missed that deadline. So maybe it will start early 2020.
I for one cannot wait. Hugh Skinner is an absolute babe. This show is absolutely hilarious. They have spoofed each member of the family perfectly.

You may be waiting some time as it's not a BBC programme.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | December 27, 2019 8:38 AM |
They have been vague about the date. Pippa and Camilla for the win. I love their version of Harry and Fergie, as well. Actually just a great cast overall.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | December 27, 2019 8:41 AM |
I know I'm waiting with bated breath. I adore this show.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | December 27, 2019 8:53 AM |
Tracey Ullman does a far better Camilla
by Anonymous | reply 5 | December 27, 2019 8:54 AM |
Sorry, thought it was BBC.
Does anyone have a link to stream the two specials? Putlockers has the two series but not the specials.
Yes, season 3 will be awesome! They have so much material to work with.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | December 27, 2019 8:59 AM |
It’s on Netflix.
Fergie is great. When they had “Fergie’s Betsit”caption pop up on the establishing shot, I completely lost it. Anne the Ice Princess is fantastic too. Everyone is fantastic really. Having Catherine as a Gypsy is a stroke of genius.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | December 27, 2019 9:14 AM |
This clip of Beatrice and Eugenie has got me staggered. I watch it several times a day.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | December 27, 2019 2:50 PM |
Hugh Skinner is gorgeous on Fleabag but also genuinely funny.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | December 27, 2019 2:57 PM |
PUPPA! Love Fergie's low growl and really hope they do a better job with Sparkle in the next series. I've rewatched the ones on Netflix like four times.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | December 27, 2019 3:52 PM |
Yeah I had forgotten about Meghan. She’s the weakest link in the show. I love when they first introduced her and Charles assumed she was just there to polish his shoes.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | December 27, 2019 4:50 PM |
My guess is they had to shove some new content in and rewrite as it was coming out.

R7 - The "Fergie's Bedsit" caption always makes me laugh too

One of my favorite shows. Beatrice and Eug make me wet my pants every time they’re onscreen. The scripts are poetry they’re so funny. I tried to find out more about the writers of the show, but couldn’t find much. They have such a perfect insider voice, there’s no way they don’t know people of that world.

Where can I stream the two specials please? Netflix isn't an option.

The funniest series from the UK in years. Hilarious and actually spot on. The wedding special was crackling fun too.

Bea and Eug with Justin Trudeau

Love openly gay Hugh Skinner as William.
R18, "Pippa Places a Gypsy Curse On Kate" was one of my favorite bits from the series.
I also love the running gag of Meghan Markle constantly referencing her character on Suits.
I agree her character was the weakest initially but they were still busy wrapping up Pippa and Harry. It seems like they'll give the actress more to "spoof" next season. I hope they do the whole thing with Meghan not closing a car door "correctly."

Seems like the show is in production right now. They apparently recast Harry and this one is ... at least from this photo ... very hot.
They're doing Will/Kate vs Meghan/Harry in Season 3.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | December 28, 2019 4:48 AM |
It's a shame that they recast Harry, the other guy was hilarious. Also, Ann falls for David Beckham? I cannot wait.

by Anonymous | reply 23 | December 28, 2019 11:04 AM |
It’s on both R23.
“I’m marrying a billionaire. That’s a one with nine noughts.” oh Pippa. You’re so vulgar. It’s great.
I’m sad they’re recasting Harry. I really enjoyed the original. Hope they get a couple more seasons out of the show. They just need some big event or scandal to give them something to launch off. Charles finally becoming King would give them an extra series or two.

The synopsis for Series 3 sounds hilarious!

William is a hot pig.

I'm sad to lose Richard Goulding as Harry. But having played him on the Windsors and in King Charles III, perhaps he was afraid of getting typecast.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | December 29, 2019 1:15 AM |
I'm thrilled there's a third series---I had heard nothing---but oh no, they recast Harry? Why?? He and Bea and Eug are my favorites. Can't stand the Princess Anne characterization; she and Prince Charles are too grotesque. Most everyone else is wonderful, though. The way Wills speaks pronounces things me laugh out loud.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | December 29, 2019 1:16 AM |
Even The Windsors with all its lampooning never could have imagined that Meghan would ghost her father for the wedding. In their version, Pa Markle actually does walk his little Bean down the aisle.

His face typecasts him. You're pretty limited playing anything with a face like that

In season three, Wills, Kate, Harry and Meghan are feuding. Charles has his eye on the top job and in his new role as defender of ALL faiths, conjures up the devil, Camilla continues her scheming ways and locks horns with Carol Middleton over who’s going to be the next Queen: Camilla or Kate, with Beatrice getting married, Eugenie, and Fergie worry whose going to walk her down the aisle now Andrew has ‘withdrawn from public life’, Pippa inveigles her way into Harry and Meghan’s life when she gets a job as their nanny, we see a ‘fun’ side to Princess Anne when she falls for David Beckham, and a hapless Prince Edward falls victim to Bulgarian loan-sharks.

You can torrent the specials. The second special isn't very funny. The first season's Christmas special was good.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | January 1, 2020 4:42 AM |
The actress who plays Beatrice is brilliant--she has the most insane posh enunciation ever. Last season she was dating Jeremy Corbyn (who got her to read Das Kapital and wear a Patty hearst beret), but in the season finale, she broke up with him saying, "I'm sorry, Jeremy--Marxism isn't for me." But the way she said it was more like, "Om sorry, Jehmmy--Mox-iz-yum izzun fuh meee."

Wish new tv series had more than 6 episodes per season. In the past, tv series had like 32, eg Frasier. This season should be epic.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | February 14, 2020 7:10 AM |
The UK tv shows hardly ever contain more than 6-8 episodes. R45 must be thinking of American or Turkish shitshows stretching to eternity of 24-52 episodes per season.

by Anonymous | reply 72 | February 25, 2020 11:03 PM |
A brilliant first couple of eps. Bea and Eug deserve their own spin-off.
I genuinely think the crazed nutters in the Markle threads have used The Windsors as their basis of reality.

The actresses playing Bea and Eug are so amazing, they stand above the rest.
I give credit to the actress playing Markle, which is quite fitting as no-one knew the actress Markle until she joined the Windsors.

Beatrice and Eugene are as excellent as usual this season. Fergie running an HeirBnB was great too.

by Anonymous | reply 85 | February 26, 2020 10:46 PM |
The new Harry is playing the character pretty much note for note as the old actor which I appreciate. Doesn’t make the change too jarring.
Princess Anne going full horse over David Beckham got me roaring.
I hope they get another season.
by Anonymous | reply 86 | February 26, 2020 10:53 PM |
Someone in the other thread mentioned that you can watch the new episode on the All 4 app with a VPN. Like that person said, it's a bit complicated but it does work.
I haven't seen it on the Pirate Bay yet.
by Anonymous | reply 87 | February 27, 2020 12:08 AM |
I haven't seen the new season but my favorite part is their ridiculous accents: Popp-uh! Gyp-sah!
Also I did find the introductory Markle character a little snarkworthy--relating every single to Suits, declaring to her mom she had to embrace her feminist ideals by marrying a prince . . . Also the line where she asks Pippa if Pippa knows her from her character on Suits, and Pippa mutters, "No . . . the Mail Online."
Lol and how simpering and earnest Kate is, somehow that's hilarious to me. Oh and whenever Bea and Eug talk about jobs . . . "OMG get real jobs! How can we be expected to work 3 hours a day 2 days a week??"
by Anonymous | reply 88 | February 27, 2020 12:19 AM |
I love Camilla, she's like a Disney villain except always drunk and smoking.

The funny thing is that although the show is absolutely savage in its portrayal of Beatrice and Eugenie, it still makes them oddly sympathetic. I kind of find myself rooting for Beatrice's character.
by Anonymous | reply 111 | April 8, 2020 11:59 PM |
R111 I think they come across much better than Wills or Harry. At least they are shown as always striving. The guy playing Wills has the most annoying voice I have ever heard. I've heard the real William speak on camera and he doesn't sound anywhere near as annoying.
by Anonymous | reply 112 | April 9, 2020 12:34 AM |
[R111} I agree, and think it's because it's shown that they are not mean-spirited or even lazy so much as naturally dense, with their free-loading ways further compounded by being surrounded by even bigger idiots and raised by clueless grifter parents.
The show is funny because it hints that if these people weren't bound together by a code of aristocracy, they'd just be another bunch of hapless bottom-feeders unable to scrape three nickles together.
by Anonymous | reply 113 | April 9, 2020 1:55 AM |

I cannot wait for the next series! In view of the current BRF drama du jour, I was considering how true to life the characterisations on The Windsors are -
Charles - yes
Camilla - no
Wills - no
Kate - maybe
Harry - yes
Meghan - yes
Pippa and the Middletons - no
Andrew and Fergie - yes
York girls - maybe
Anne - yes
Edward - no
The next series should be amazing!
by Anonymous | reply 120 | April 4, 2021 10:06 PM |
Beatrice is my favourite too R116. Actually, I'd say my favourite scenes always centre around the girls, Fergie ("Hullo, girls!") and Princess Anne.
I was glad to discover this show - it's so silly, but in an enjoyable way. Funnily enough, when I was a kid I remember writing some silly stories about The Royal Family in this way, so it does line up with my sense of humour somewhat. (This was back in the mid-90s where Diana was on the cover of every tabloid magazine, headings like: "Diana's SECRET ballet lessons!" which always cracked me up).
by Anonymous | reply 121 | April 4, 2021 10:13 PM |
When I think of The Windsors, I always think of Fergie, "Hullo, girls!" @ R121. I love Fergie in The Windsors and I like Meghan much better in The Windsors, especially Meghan vs. Pippa. "Do talk that way, British people don't find it a'tall irritating".
Camilla performing the exorcism was pretty amazing.

This show is conpletely bonkers. Hardest working royal Anne is portrayed as some ghostly spirit for being cheap. Meanwhile, lazy Wills and Kate are part of the " Fab Four"
by Anonymous | reply 126 | April 7, 2021 5:22 AM |
I wonder if they'll do a new series. What with everything that's happened in the last year (George Floyd) and now Meghan's claim of racism and suicidal ideation, it would be hard for them to get away with the same hard-hitting satire. Gary Janetti completely gave up his snarky IG posts about Meghan and Harry.
by Anonymous | reply 127 | April 7, 2021 5:29 AM |
I started watching this show a couple months ago and it’s hilarious. I just saw S3 ep 3 and really captured a lot of things we are currently discussing. Camilla pushing the car when it ran out of wine fuel was reminiscent of Charles shoving the leaking pen in her hand. They particularly nailed Charles, Camila and Kate. Kate does comes off a bit robotic and they actually had an episode about it. Eugenie, Beatrice, Anne and Pippa are hysterical. What surprised me the most is that they made Meghan into the most normal, likable one. The SJW stuff is there and the word salad, but overall she’s comes off pretty well.
by Anonymous | reply 128 | September 17, 2022 8:27 PM |
I think the new season already started with the Queen's funeral and that "fab four" walkabout. The BRF is always on the telly.
