I liked the character in the beginning. But, he just became more annoying and sanctimonious as the show went on. It was the same with the character's father.

I loved him because he reminded me of myself. Queenie for days and just couldnt help it.

I can't understand now why I ever liked Glee.

The first few years, he seemed so vulnerable, and aroused a lot of protective feelings. Later on, though, it was like he was depicted as some sort of gay savior, and I think that turned a lot of people off. I did enjoy Glee for the first few seasons, but it became clear that Ryan Murphy was bored with it (which is standard operating procedure for him). It's interesting that Chris Colfer has moved on to writing children's books, and doesn't seem interested in acting any more.

Datalounge hates gay men and absolutely detests effeminate gay men.
This TV show has been off the air for years yet some crazies are still obsessed with this actor. It’s sad.

I hated Glee. It was a show that peaked way too early and then became a shit show behind the scenes.

I enjoyed Kurt when the writers let the character have fun. There’s an episode in particular where Blaine’s brother visits the glee club. Chris Colfer was delightfully whacky and goofy in the episode...any other time he’s moping around as the victimized gay teen

R4-I didn't know that he wrote that series. My niece and her friends were way into that series when it debuted. Good for him.

I think as R7 mentioned, the characters were better on Glee when they were allowed to be actual characters and not soap boxes for a sweep's week "very special episode."

I agree that Kurt was very difficult to take when he was being flighty and frivolous. However, the character did shine in some of the more serious moments, especially in the moments following and the aftermath of Karofsky's suicide attempt.

Are you serious, r10? That scene in particular had the glee fandom unanimously hating Kurt when it aired. He was so condescending to Quinn when he should’ve minded his business

I never liked him. He was evil

He had a mouth like a letterbox and he had no business with a hottie like Darren Criss.

He was a disgusting creep who would perv on his own step-brother

God I miss glee so much. Hearing their version of open your heart/bordeline makes me want to cry. Innocent times.

Kurt came with a great, supportive and understanding dad everybody wished to have as their great, supportive and understanding dad.
Kurt himself was unthreatening as the flamboyant gay (G)BFF you could go shopping with and talk about boys. The chaste romance with Blaine was a teen girl fantasy come true.

One thing I really didn't like was how Kurt & Blaine's dynamic changed beginning in Season Three. Blaine went from Prince Charming to Deeply Neurotic Frog. I don't think Darren was supposed to last beyond Season Two and the re-writing was evident. Blaine also became younger than Kurt, which felt off.

Hated him, primarily because he always treated his dad like crap. I wish I had a dad like that.

Hideously annoying
