Height/Weight Question (Batman Edition)

In a world where guys with green hair duke it out on cathedral parapets with grown men wearing bat costumes, any given female journalist's weight is possibly subject to similar fantastical interpretation.

She was very petite. Totally believable she could weigh 108.

I thought the joke was that later he chides her for giving her weight as 108, implying that it is noticeably higher and that she's embarrassed when he does so.

Yes it was a joke in the movie. But the question is more about if Kim could possibly weigh 108. Some people seem to think that she's way too tall to even get close to 108.

I would have said that at her height she was likely 120.

Thus the above cited joke. Vale though he was simply asking a surprisingly crass question and so gave her rounded-down answer. She didn't realize he was actually calculating her exact weight for the escape cord.

Men seem to state their weight in round numbers, ending in zero or five. A lot of women state their weight like the price of a used car: $6,999!

The distortion of what so many think women's actual weights look like is pretty sickening. No adult woman should weigh 108 pounds unless she's under 5 feet tall and been ill for a week.
