Okay, I went to the official subreddit just now and people there seem pleased. I think my initial "sketch" reaction was because of the choppy editing, which posters there are pointing out. Notice the lack of continuity after the headbutt - that guy is standing in a different place! Though it might be that other scenes were taken out of this screening version.

I'm intrigued but also annoyed that it's still so far away. Seems like the marketing for this thing has been going on for ages now.

So far Latin America grosses more viewership than say Europe. It's a marketing ploy to cover Netflix's budget and you can see how other studios have noticed, WB mostly. That's why we're seeing a lot of premieres there of late as it's now a competitor to China's audience.
