However, the child abuse thing is not understandably explained...what has a child done to where you couldn't accept who you truly are? I say that as a victim of child molestation. I am part of a death row program and you can be kind and be pen pals with inmates if you have good boundaries. Remember - you set the rules. Be up front that you can’t send money or gifts. But realize you are going to get sob stories, guilt trips, etc. But be firm and don’t let yourself get manipulated. Later on if they are legit you can send them a book via Amazon or a little money via JPay for the commissary.

I looked at the dudes claiming to be gay on that site and I would say about 80% are lying. Some guys are writing to multiple people, men and women, telling them what they think they want to hear. I was browsing through the profile, and those two guys are not that bad. Some others are completely bananas.

Like that one guy who looks pretty unremarkable, does pretty paintings and say he's "got a good heart" and is "very loyal". Then you keep looking and you find out he is a lifer who stole money from his family then bludgeoned them to death when they found out.

Or that other guy who looks nice and "believes he's a good person" but is here for sexually assaulting a minor when he was a counsellor.

It is scary because these people look pretty normal and have zero self awareness. It's like they learned nothing.
