Which Candidate Should You Support? Take the Quiz and Find Out

Amy Klobuchar was my top pick @ 87%

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 109December 10, 2019 11:43 AM

Mine was Biden, 88%.

by Anonymousreply 1December 1, 2019 3:42 PM

John Delaney & Amy Klobuchar are my top 2. Trump, though, is #6, well above my (current) choice, Buttigieg.

by Anonymousreply 2December 1, 2019 3:44 PM

Julian Castro or Kamala Harris. I don't think so. I'm more Sanders/Warren.

by Anonymousreply 3December 1, 2019 3:49 PM

Elizabeth Warren @93%. Hmmmm

by Anonymousreply 4December 1, 2019 3:50 PM

Castro and Harris too. I am more a Warren type of voter.

by Anonymousreply 5December 1, 2019 3:51 PM

Mine were:

Harris: 96%

Castro: 95%

Buttigieg: 95% <- my chosen candidate

Warren: 94%

by Anonymousreply 6December 1, 2019 3:51 PM

I got Klombuchar at 87% followed by Buttigieg.

by Anonymousreply 7December 1, 2019 3:52 PM

Kamela and Pete @ 94% Julian @ 93% . Hmmmm

by Anonymousreply 8December 1, 2019 3:54 PM

Kamala, 96%.

by Anonymousreply 9December 1, 2019 3:54 PM

Klobuchar - 85%

Delaney - 84%

Yang - 82%

Trump last at 47%

by Anonymousreply 10December 1, 2019 4:13 PM

I forgot to do top 5:

Klobuchar - 87%

Booker - 85%

Biden - 83%

Pete - 83%

Delaney - 83%

Yang - 83%

Trump was last at 32%

I'm surprised that Booker scored so high and I had not even considered Delaney or Yang. What was even more surprising to me was that Bernie and Williamson each scored 80% for me.

by Anonymousreply 11December 1, 2019 4:34 PM

Pete and Kamala, both 95%.

I matched Marianne Williamson closer than I matched Biden, and I don't know how I feel about that.

by Anonymousreply 12December 1, 2019 4:36 PM

Interesting, OP. My results:

90% Warren, first place

88% Buttigieg, seventh place.

16% Trump , 17th place (last place)

I didn’t see anything about margin of error; however, my top seven candidates all lie between 88%-90% and it’s hard to believe that the difference of 2% is significant.

by Anonymousreply 13December 1, 2019 4:39 PM

My top three - Castro, Buttigieg, Warren. Trump was at the very bottom of my list.

by Anonymousreply 14December 1, 2019 4:50 PM

I got Biden and Delaney as my top 2 and Sanders and Warren as the last two.

by Anonymousreply 15December 1, 2019 5:01 PM

Buttigieg & Kamala: 93%

Sanders & Castro: 92%

Warren: 91%

MARIANNE WILLIAMSON: 91%

...and then...

Biden: 80%

Trump: 16%

by Anonymousreply 16December 1, 2019 5:02 PM

Andrew Yang at 91%, which is not surprising since I first began supporting his campaign when I heard him on a Sam Harris podcast well over a year ago.

by Anonymousreply 17December 1, 2019 5:03 PM

Julian Castro, 93 percent

However, electability is the most important quality for me this election, so I will not be voting for Castro.

by Anonymousreply 18December 1, 2019 5:19 PM

Delaney (who?) and Klobuchar were the top two, but I think this was skewed a bit as I didn't use emphasis on which issues matter.

by Anonymousreply 19December 1, 2019 5:25 PM

My top three were Kamala, Castro, and Pete.

by Anonymousreply 20December 1, 2019 5:28 PM

I got Julian Castro 94%

by Anonymousreply 21December 1, 2019 5:32 PM

Pete 85%

Bernie 83%

by Anonymousreply 22December 1, 2019 5:33 PM

Yang at 86%, and interestingly, Trump at 57%.

by Anonymousreply 23December 1, 2019 5:35 PM

96% Kamala Harris

by Anonymousreply 24December 1, 2019 5:38 PM

92% Bernie Sanders (yuck), Julian Castro 91% Pete Buttigieg 90% Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, Marianne Williamson 88% Amy Klobuchar 85% Joe Biden = my chosen candidate. Because all I care about is getting Trump (7%) out of office.

by Anonymousreply 25December 1, 2019 5:38 PM

Andrew Yang at 75%

by Anonymousreply 26December 1, 2019 5:45 PM

I had no idea there was a "More" option, so I clicked it. I match with Trump 4%. And that seems high to me.

by Anonymousreply 27December 1, 2019 6:36 PM

First time around it was Castro, but I didn’t answer all the questions. So I went back, second time it was a tie for Bernie (no way in hell), and Klobuchar. How can those two represent the same thing? Third was my choice, Buttigieg. Last was Trump.

In real life, I’m not voting for Bernie under any circumstances. I would vote for Klobuchar if she was the nominee, but she’s not my choice. Kamala was sixth (ahem, no), and Biden was seventh.

In real life it would be Buttigieg first, Biden second. I’m a moderate.

Castro is unelectable. I have to wonder who is determining the qualities of these candidates. There’s no mention of age, health, or acknowledgement that some of them are full of it, or wildly inconsistent. They seem to be blindly accepting whatever the campaigns say. That’s not accurate. It seemed slanted really pro-Bernie. Bernie is described as “honesty, determination and integrity.” Well, he’s determined, that’s about it. A hard no.

by Anonymousreply 28December 1, 2019 6:41 PM

[quote]How can those two represent the same thing?

I'm supporting Pete, Biden, and Klobuchar, but the truth is very little separates the democratic candidates. They may disagree on some key policy points, but for the most part they tend to be on the same page more often than they're not. The candidate you support in the primary usually is about other things, like how they make you feel or how much they inspire you.

by Anonymousreply 29December 1, 2019 6:48 PM

Sanders took my top spot followed by Castro.

by Anonymousreply 30December 1, 2019 6:56 PM

There is something decidedly off about that poll.

While I could buy 80% on Andrew Yang, a three-way (and not in the good way) between Amy, Tulsi, and Pete is laughable.

I disagree so frequently with virtually all public statements made by Amy and Tulsi that I have to question the underlying models that produced it.

by Anonymousreply 31December 1, 2019 8:12 PM

Here is the Washington Post version of the test.

My top 5 in this one are:

Biden - 8

Pete - 7

Klobuchar - 7

Steyer - 6

Yang - 5

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 32December 1, 2019 8:39 PM

Almost too close to call:

Pete 91% (My current choice, though can still change my mind.)

Julian 91%

Kamala 90%

Tulsi 89%

Elizabeth 89%

by Anonymousreply 33December 1, 2019 8:52 PM

Mine:

87% Cory Booker

83% Andrew Yang, Pete Buttigieg, Kamala Harris

81% Biden, Klobuchar

No matter who the Democrats field, I will vote for her/him over that racist, sexist, irresponsible imbecile.

by Anonymousreply 34December 1, 2019 8:55 PM

92% Warren. Predictable and true.

by Anonymousreply 35December 1, 2019 8:59 PM

I got Harris & Castro @93%

Then Pete and Warren @92%.

by Anonymousreply 36December 1, 2019 9:04 PM

It's embarrassing to live in a country where, after all that's happened, 26% of people who took this poll are still Trumpsters.

by Anonymousreply 37December 1, 2019 9:06 PM

Surprisingly, Pete at 88% followed by Amy at 85%. I was going to vote for Warren.

by Anonymousreply 38December 1, 2019 9:11 PM

Don't worry, r38, AI has preprogrammed bias. I got Klobouchar 87%, Bernie at 84% and third were Kamala and Biden at 82%.

But anybody would be better than than soul sucking void of morality in the White House.

by Anonymousreply 39December 1, 2019 9:17 PM

Mayor Pete then Kamala Harris. They were my choices in the beginning and I still stick with Pete. For my Representative it only offered Repugnants and no Dems, even if my current Rep is a Dem. As for President I wonder if people like the idea of someone, but haven’t dug into what they supposedly stand for. Scarily Williamson was my 3rd, I imagine I should go in for a psychiatric examination stat.

by Anonymousreply 40December 1, 2019 9:22 PM

Mine was Amy Klobuchar 90% Joe Biden 89%

by Anonymousreply 41December 1, 2019 9:32 PM

R33 and R35 has the losers.

by Anonymousreply 42December 1, 2019 9:33 PM

These results are terrifying. What have I become?

92% for both Harris and Buttigieg;

91% for Williamson, Castro and Sanders;

89% for Warren. Biden's at 82%.

by Anonymousreply 43December 1, 2019 9:40 PM

Buttigieg - 95%

Castro - 95%

Klobuchar, Sanders, Warren, Harris - 94%

Williamson, Biden - 92%

Gabbard - 81%

Trump - 12%

by Anonymousreply 44December 1, 2019 9:59 PM

Sanders 92

Castro 92

Warren 90

Harris 90

Buttigieg 90

If I wanted an annoying old man to rail and shake his finger at me for 4 years, I'd move in with my father. No to Sanders, because of the way he undercut H. Clinton. I'm for Warren or Buttigieg, and this quiz made me consider Castro for the first time.

by Anonymousreply 45December 1, 2019 10:19 PM

Wouldn't it be interesting to put up a site like that for deplorables, then have all the models come back with dem candidates for whom they should vote.

Such a site could easily manipulate the unwary into thinking that a candidate holds similar views when in reality, it's not even close.

by Anonymousreply 46December 1, 2019 10:21 PM

My highest in both versions was Amy Klobuchar. I wasn’t really considering voting for her, because she’s not polling very well. But I do agree with her on almost every issue, so I might actually vote for her.

My lowest ranked of the Democratic candidates was Biden. Which isn’t surprising, because I don’t think there’s any way I would vote for him.

by Anonymousreply 47December 1, 2019 10:24 PM

I don't know how legit this quiz is. I answered about 60 questions (I couldn't take any more).

I got Marianne Williamson at 92%, with Liz Warren at 91%.

Yeah, no. There are not such thin margins between those two.

by Anonymousreply 48December 1, 2019 10:26 PM

My highest in the WaPo quiz was Tom Steyer for some bizarre reason.

I don't dislike him. I don't dislike really any of them besides Tulsi, but Warren, who is my preferred candidate followed closely by Pete, was one of my lowest.

by Anonymousreply 49December 1, 2019 10:28 PM

I got John Delaney then Pete. I thought Bernie would be my top pick

by Anonymousreply 50December 1, 2019 10:34 PM

Biden didn't even show on my results.

Buttigieg at 85%,

Castro, Klobuchar, Warren and Yang at 84%

Kamala Harris and Tulsi Gabbard at 82%.

Too bad Americans don't have candidates like Justin Trudeau. I'm very left for the US, but I can't imagine choosing an American based on Tenderness.

It's telling that 'Creativity' and 'Vision' apply to very few Democratic Candidates.

If I designed the poll I would have a checkbox each for 'not Demented' and 'not White Supremacist.'

by Anonymousreply 51December 1, 2019 10:41 PM

Castro 89 and. WILLIAMSON 88!

Lowest was Biden, 85. Basically, I could live with anybody.

by Anonymousreply 52December 1, 2019 10:45 PM

92% Trump. Gabbard was the highest Dem for me, which was no surprise because I love her.

by Anonymousreply 53December 1, 2019 10:50 PM

8% Trump

Lowest Dem Gabbard at 81

8 other Dems over 90

I dont care who beats Trump, so that seems mostly right...though I'd like Gabbard to go away and die.

by Anonymousreply 54December 1, 2019 11:04 PM

Klobuchar and Biden are tied for me, followed closely by Williamson (twirl!)

I really want to like Klobuchar, but reports of her being mean to staff bothered me. I was beginning to let it fade from memory, but more reports of her temper surfaced. What worries is me is that people will be reluctant to tell her the truth, lest they get the brunt end of her temper.

by Anonymousreply 55December 1, 2019 11:16 PM

Pete Buttigieg: 86%

Kamala Harris: 86%

Julian Castro: 84%

Elizabeth Warren: 82%

I wouldn't vote for Harris or Castro. Joe Biden came in at 63%.

by Anonymousreply 56December 1, 2019 11:21 PM

My numbers are tight, showing that I'd probably be OK with whichever democrat runs against Trump. I'm surprised, though, as I thought I was a moderate.

92% Julian Castro, Bernie Sanders, Marianne Williamson

90% Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren

87% Pete Buttigieg, Amy Klobuchar

84% Tulsi Gabbard, Andrew Yang

81% Cory Booker, Joe Biden

77% John Delaney

(A bunch of republicans and Libertarians)

11% Donald Trump

by Anonymousreply 57December 1, 2019 11:33 PM

Castro, Harris, Warren, Sanders, Williamson and Buttigieg in that order were all above 90%. Donald Trump 5%...

Well, unsurprisingly my policy is voting for any Dem over Trump. As far as my political preferences go, there is a massive gulf between the two sides as this shows.

by Anonymousreply 58December 1, 2019 11:34 PM

[quote] My numbers are tight, showing that I'd probably be OK with whichever democrat runs against Trump.

Me too!!!

93% Klobuchar

88 % Budda butt

87 % Biden

85 % Harriid

84 % Booker

84% Castro

by Anonymousreply 59December 1, 2019 11:39 PM

Castro, Buttigieg, and Warren were tied at 95%. I would love to see Buttigieg but I don't think he can win. Trump was at the very bottom of my list at 2%. Can't imagine how he even got that.

by Anonymousreply 60December 1, 2019 11:48 PM

I didn't take the test because lets face it, nearly none of the Democratic positions will become law. It really doesn't matter much where the candidates stand on the issues because nearly all of their positions will never pass congress even if Democrats control both houses of Congress. A few might pass but knowing which ones will pass is sort of crap shoot.

Republicans in Congress will vote against just about everything and there will most likely be enough moderate Democrats that only the most moderate positions are likely to pass.

If these candidates were honest they would admit that most of their positions will never become law and stop taking such extreme positions that they will just probably backtrack on if the get the nomination.

by Anonymousreply 61December 1, 2019 11:51 PM

Castro at 93%, which surprises me. He hasn’t been given a whole lot of screen time outside the debates, and I have to say that I’m not very familiar with his stance on certain issues. Definitely food for thought for me.

by Anonymousreply 62December 1, 2019 11:55 PM

Buttigieg 85, Harris 82, Klobuchar 81

Trump very bottom

by Anonymousreply 63December 2, 2019 12:17 AM

Is it a soggy bottom, R63?

by Anonymousreply 64December 2, 2019 12:20 AM

I got Calvin Coolidge.

by Anonymousreply 65December 2, 2019 2:37 AM

Pete 94%

by Anonymousreply 66December 2, 2019 2:56 AM

95% Harris and Castro.

by Anonymousreply 67December 2, 2019 2:59 AM

94% Pete. I'm pragmatically for Biden but he was only 85%

Only 19% Trump.

by Anonymousreply 68December 2, 2019 9:48 AM

I got Kamala and feel sick. I am a Bernie or Biden voter.

by Anonymousreply 69December 2, 2019 10:20 AM

Pete 91, Klobuchar 84, Biden 81 Harris 78

by Anonymousreply 70December 2, 2019 10:48 AM

A lot of Republicans on this thread.

by Anonymousreply 71December 2, 2019 1:10 PM

I got Buddigieg and I’m surprised!

by Anonymousreply 72December 2, 2019 1:49 PM

I got no candidate. did I do it wrong?

by Anonymousreply 73December 2, 2019 2:07 PM

Trump 100%

by Anonymousreply 74December 2, 2019 2:51 PM

R74, where you above 90% for Hitler?

by Anonymousreply 75December 2, 2019 3:30 PM

I got Julian Castro.

by Anonymousreply 76December 2, 2019 4:09 PM

I got Warren 98%, Bernie 97%, Kamala 96%, Castro 96% and Pete 94%....Biden was lowest of the Dem's and Trump got 3%, so pretty accurate on all fronts!

by Anonymousreply 77December 2, 2019 4:45 PM

Buttigieg: 95%

by Anonymousreply 78December 2, 2019 5:54 PM

Castro : 22%

Mariaane: 19%

by Anonymousreply 80December 2, 2019 7:13 PM

I answered every single question - the test took forever - but my top 5 were:

89% - Buttigieg, Castro & Klobuchar

88% - Sanders

87% - Harris

by Anonymousreply 81December 2, 2019 7:38 PM

Honestly, anyone who got Trump first should put a bullet in his head.

by Anonymousreply 82December 2, 2019 8:00 PM

It’s interesting that Harris and booty butt show up in the same percentages for many .

They were tied for my 1st place. My fave was Kamala but she doesn’t seem to be doing well. I’ll never vote for tea party boy Pete.

So hopefully someone else gets the nom

by Anonymousreply 83December 2, 2019 9:37 PM

[quote] I’ll never vote for tea party boy Pete.

I want to reach through my computer and beat you senseless.

Congratulations! You have found another Nazi to walk with you to the concentration camps being prepared for you by your party, r87.

by Anonymousreply 88December 2, 2019 11:05 PM

Enough with the hyperbole, R88!

by Anonymousreply 89December 2, 2019 11:09 PM

Yeah, Republicans would never put innocent people in cages. That's hyperbole!

If you answer everything in a disgusting, repulsive way you get Dump. Ugh.

by Anonymousreply 98December 2, 2019 11:48 PM

Pete and Bernie 87 and 86 percent respectively. Trump dead last, which was interesting as I did answer some immigration questions in a conservative way.

by Anonymousreply 99December 2, 2019 11:54 PM

I got 95% 3 way tie between Castro, Warren & Harris. Followed by, in order: Sanders, Klobuchar, Butt & Booker

by Anonymousreply 100December 3, 2019 12:46 AM

R90, if it’s so bad where they’re coming from, beggars can’t be choosers. They’re lucky to have a roof over their head at least.

by Anonymousreply 101December 3, 2019 6:31 AM

R83 "Tea party boy" is funny, but disingenuine.

A more apt description would be "Corporate-owned Buttigieg." But, it doesn't have the same ring to it.

by Anonymousreply 102December 9, 2019 9:12 AM

Buttigieg's supporters remained unbothered by that remark ...

by Anonymousreply 103December 10, 2019 9:27 AM

Many people call him Pete ButtKing

by Anonymousreply 104December 10, 2019 9:45 AM

I'm a true centrist

by Anonymousreply 105December 10, 2019 10:14 AM

Bloomberg 80% Trump 60% Warren/Castro 20% Don't know what to make of these results.

by Anonymousreply 106December 10, 2019 10:34 AM

What the hell kind of test is this? It actually asks explicitly who you support for President.

It’s like that Yahoo Answers guy who gave a recipe for cupcakes and one of the ingredients was a dozen cupcakes.

Where do all of our responses go?

by Anonymousreply 107December 10, 2019 11:01 AM

I got Amy Klobuchar at 89%. Mayor Pete was at 86% (my preferred choice. ) Amy shows up in many people's choices I notice.

by Anonymousreply 108December 10, 2019 11:17 AM

Elizabeth Warren - 98%, which is good, because that is who I support.
