I watched that wedding-planning reality show she did with Dean years ago and she did come across as a very likeable person in that one (and not in that typical phony L.A. way either). I wouldn't mind having her as my hot mess fag hag or something.

It's hard to hate someone whose own mother so clearly rejects them. For all her faults and foibles, and there are scads, her own freaking mother doesn't like her. That's tough.

One one of the podcasts, the Drag Race gal(s) said Tori was very nice when she coached them. Jennie Garth? Not so much.

I guess you guys are right: it must be that cunt Candy's negligence that has awoken fatherly feelings towards Tori inside of me (even if Tori is almost 20 years my senior). I certainly never felt this way about any other celebs before. But that makes me feel kind of stupid, because there's only like a gazillion people around who'd deserve my compassion more - you know, like people who didn't grow up in 60,000-square foot mansions. But for some reason people have been feeling sorry for "poor little rich girls" since the age of dawn.

Probably because she is nice? She has been an advocate for gays, a friend of the "underdogs" of society and a decent person. Yes, she had a career or sorts due to nepotism - but Tori is a nice person at the end of the day. To grow up the way that she did (good, bad and indifferent) - her past horrifying spending habits are somewhat understandable. She made bad choices, but that does not make her a bad person.

Tori is the classic poor little rich girl. She’s dumb but not mean. Her mother is no walk in the park and her dad left her hardly anything. On top of that, she’s been chided for her looks for as long as I can remember. I feel sorry for her, at times.

They were spoiled, and indulged upon, living in a mega mansion, free money anytime. Then they’re not.

I think because they got a loud wake up call, and scrambled to make a go of it with nothing. Many have been at that point in adulthood. I’m guessing we can identify and empathize a bit with their situations. It’s been many years now. I’m willing to bet they’re much better human beings for the experience.

It sucks to admit this but Aaron made the right choice by leaving the bulk of his estate to Candy. She may be a heartless bitch with a weird doll fetish but at least she's good with money. If Aaron left those $500 million to Tori and Randy there'd be probably around 20 bucks left from that pile.

Aaron was not a mean-spirited person and apparently he actually believed those million bucks (minus the taxes) would be enough to keep Tori preserved for life. I think he underestimated his daughter's lousy handling of money and love for shopping sprees.

I work in the same building where her mom lives, not for her but everyone knows who she is including the other residence. Everyone pretty much thinks her mom is a total cunt. Not really a surprise but that is the word from the little people behind the scenes. There are a lot of other rich people in that building but her mom really is the cuntiest of cunts.

She is sweet, but messed up, I feel sorry for her. One of my best female friends is like that. Although she was not as wealthy, parents totally messed up people. Somehow she turned out to be a really nice caring person and generous to a fault. She is there as a friend, she helps out even without asking, is an awesome mother but when it comes to men, it's her one big flaw, she picks guys who want to use her.

Tori Spelling is a spendaholic. Even if Dad Aaron Spelling had provided $10 million (instead of "just" $800,000), she would have spent it all, years ago. IMO, she now has 5 children because Mom Candy Spelling will spend money on Tori's children. I feel sorry for all those children. Dean McDermott (husband of Tori) has been looking like crap for the past few years, really went downhill.

Candy's doing what any grandparent with a heart would do: provide for the children. Based upon what we know of the situation it's likely partially because she knows they fucked up with Tori and they don't deserve to suffer. I wouldn't be surprised if when she passes we discover she put money in trusts for the grandkids, leaves a little to Tori and Randy and the rest goes to charity. She seems like that type.

Randy is a motivational speaker so it's not like he's a brain surgeon but at least he seems to be handling his own business.

Tori is a good comedic actress. She comes across as sweet. She isn't really offensive at all. She just doesn't seem to know how to manage her own money and while I can't place all the blame on Dean, she would have probably been better off without him. She's 46 and should have long figured things out even if her parents didn't give her the greatest foundation. I also don't understand why she never acted more than she has. She may not be the greatest dramatic actress but she could have pulled off a guest appearance on a show here and there, she'd be perfectly adequate in a supporting role on a procedural.
