They are DLers. Trust.

by Anonymousreply 1November 25, 2019 2:05 AM

So why are we seeing a collection of vacuum cleaners?

by Anonymousreply 2November 25, 2019 2:08 AM

They don't need appliances they need THERAPY

by Anonymousreply 3November 25, 2019 2:10 AM

yeah they're voting for Buttigieg

by Anonymousreply 4November 25, 2019 2:11 AM

Does their double-ended dildo count as an appliance?

by Anonymousreply 5November 25, 2019 2:13 AM

I love retro appliances and they are both very cute.

by Anonymousreply 6November 25, 2019 2:14 AM

Id kill to get my hands on some of that stuff ! Appliances today are pure crap.

by Anonymousreply 7November 25, 2019 2:15 AM

Ridiculous

by Anonymousreply 8November 25, 2019 2:16 AM

Fred's cute but too bad his IG is private

Did you miss the part about them spending more than the cost of new appliances to maintain that crap.

by Anonymousreply 10November 25, 2019 2:17 AM

Thanks, OP that was very cool. It's impressive that they keep them in running condition.

by Anonymousreply 11November 25, 2019 2:24 AM

I mean, I could see this on a smaller scale but to spend almost 50K is bizarro.

I guess they realized queens who collect Fiestaware or other kitchenware are a dime a dozen, and they just had to be EXTRA.

by Anonymousreply 12November 25, 2019 2:28 AM

You can watch the whole episode online. I'm loving these two crazy bitches.

I still have a vivid memory of seeing the most fantabulous pink Speed Queen washer and dryer set at the Alpha Thrift Store on State Street in Santa Barbara back in the '80s.

by Anonymousreply 14November 25, 2019 2:30 AM

I’d kill for an older washing machine. I miss the way the used to use enough water to get the job done.

by Anonymousreply 15November 25, 2019 2:34 AM

Which of you queens is doing this with their partner? You just know it's one of us.

by Anonymousreply 16November 25, 2019 2:34 AM

R15: Only if it's a Suds Saver model. That way you can use reuse wash water and help the environment. My grandmother had one when I was young in the 80s and 90s and it was the most awesome machine. I seriously think this YouTube video is one of their machines.

by Anonymousreply 18November 25, 2019 2:53 AM

Yes, major aspie vibes. Reading the comments I found out they've split a couple of years ago.

[quote] You can go to their website automaticwasher.org OR to vacuumland and see the dialogue from ....2 to 3 years back. Fred's old screenname at Vacuumland is no longer active, though his old discussions are still there but the profile is now closed. Clearly Robert kept the website, washers, and house.

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

by Anonymousreply 19November 25, 2019 2:57 AM

Wonder who got custody of the appliances

by Anonymousreply 20November 25, 2019 2:59 AM

My god this episode where the fat guy is obsessed with being a baby is DL catnip.

You cant wash away the gay.

by Anonymousreply 24November 25, 2019 5:41 AM

I remember the 'Merman' episode. I wanted to fuck the bejesus out of his hot hole & make him scream like a black woman in church.

Did they finally figure out that they were both bottoms?

by Anonymousreply 28November 25, 2019 10:05 AM

We would love to meet those two fabulous sisters!

(P.S. our 3rd ex-husband collects that kind of stuff and makes a good living selling it on e-bay)

by Anonymousreply 29November 25, 2019 10:15 AM

I LOVE some of the COLORED appliances.

Who decided white was so great?

by Anonymousreply 30November 25, 2019 12:00 PM

I inherited an electroluxe vacuum cleaner and it is a beast! It’s been sucking up dirt since 1950.

by Anonymousreply 31November 25, 2019 12:41 PM

[quote] I remember the 'Merman' episode. I wanted to fuck the bejesus out of his hot hole

Mermans don't have holes.

by Anonymousreply 32November 25, 2019 12:44 PM

Merman’s bf was hot as hell too. I sounded if Eric’s dirty talk is centered around his pretend fish parts.

by Anonymousreply 33November 25, 2019 12:48 PM

I'm still trying to find a picture of that set. They were much more Jane Jetson than these.....

The problem with colored appliances:

1) Colors are almost always proprietary to a single brand, limiting choices for other appliances if they have to be the same color.

2) By the time one appliance needs replacement, new ones in that color are either unavailable or severely limited... which means ONE new appliance to replace turns into 2, 3, or 4+.

3. If you picked cabinet colors or tile around the color of 79e new appliances, you're quite possibly fucked due to problem #2.

White is the only halfway-universal appliance color. Black is a very distant second. Stainless varies RADICALLY between mfrs (ex: Frigidaire/Whirlpool vs Samsung vs GE).

Actually, stainless is worse. At least you can take white to an auto body paint shop & attempt a color match if you don't mind spending as much as you paid for the appliance itself.

At least their hoard is clean and well organized. Hell, they can come over and clean for me if they love it so much.

I thought "on the spectrum" and OCD from just reading the thread title. It reminded me of this story of a kid who collected over a 150 vacuum cleaners and had an obsession since infancy. He vacuums his own house five times a day. This story is 12 years old. I wonder what happened to him

[quote]"When Kyle was a baby in his little baby seat and I'd be vacuuming, he would just be mesmerized by the vacuum and he would just; he'd follow it everywhere," she says.

[quote]Kyle got his first vacuum at age 1, dressed up as a Dirt Devil for Halloween at 2, and, as a former teacher recalls, was vacuuming during school recess at age 6.

[quote]"It's not that he didn't like recess. He just preferred to stay inside vacuuming," he says. "He would go down and, actually, one day vacuum one side of the room, the next day vacuum the other side. [He'd] also vacuum the principal's office — anywhere he could vacuum."

When Kyle hit puberty, did he find interesting ways to use the attachments?

by Anonymousreply 39November 29, 2019 7:44 PM

Well, I didn't anticipate his life would take this turn. I was thinking a STEM major.

[quote] I’ve just finished high school and plan to take a year off before going to college, to major in musical theatre. I actually made a lot of contacts in the entertainment industry through being on television, so vacuum cleaners could turn out to be responsible for helping my future stage career.

Robert Seeger.......The guy that runs the group is privately known as "The Worm"....and is a pissy little hymie who is a sneaky little queen, very devious and deceitful...with a very ....shall we say....smalll endowment to go with his small mind.......loves the drama his website VacuumLand incites.....bringing out the worse in what is the most hateful bunch of queens....who collect washers and vacuum cleaners.....who are very disturbed lost souls.....and thrive on pure hate and jealously......in Roberts case....he's mad at the world for making him a little pussy with a little...you know what !

by Anonymousreply 43January 11, 2020 9:58 PM

I thought DL frowns on Aspies?

by Anonymousreply 44January 11, 2020 10:01 PM

Within the first ten seconds of the OP link, as the one is taking away his basket of laundry, did anyone else catch one of their mothers standing in the background looking all fabulous?

Wonder who got custody of HER?

by Anonymousreply 45January 11, 2020 10:10 PM

[quote] It’s been sucking up dirt since 1950.

Some people around here have been too.

by Anonymousreply 46January 11, 2020 10:26 PM

An entire basement devoted to vintage appliances seems extravagant but those old Maytag machines were fantastic and built like tanks. I love the look as well, especially the illuminated panels and dials.

by Anonymousreply 47January 11, 2020 11:15 PM

I love them!!!

by Anonymousreply 48January 11, 2020 11:17 PM

Didn't John Wayne Gacy have an entire basement devoted to..... .....? Oh wait......those were non working models.....

by Anonymousreply 49January 11, 2020 11:18 PM

Robert Seeger sounds like my kind of guy ! I bet he likes Blue.....just like me !

by Anonymousreply 50January 11, 2020 11:50 PM

This will end in murder suicide when they stop getting credit card offers with 0% balance transfers.

by Anonymousreply 51January 12, 2020 12:10 AM

Yes, I used to follow those appliance websites....automatic washer and vacuumland...and its true they are overrun with the most evil people....esp the webmaster.......who promotes bashing among his buddies against his detractors.....but will delete people who are bashed when they speak up.....someone needs to sue that nelly gypsy bastard for allowing defamation and libel on his website....esp when he goes out of his way to promote it......the worst are the Hoover vacuum collectors and the Frigidaire washer guru's.....they worship those brands like icons....esp the one guy from PA that is an ex defrocked priest....who gave up Jesus for the Hoover logo......its very sad !
