English does seem easier in some respects. I had an odd experience a couple days ago. I was entering my gym which had the glass door propped open. Taped to the door was a notice printed on a piece of paper. Because the door was open, it was reversed, but the writing was still visible. I stopped to read it - and a guy walking past me commented about my reading the sign while it was backwards. It wasn't difficult, but it never occurred to me that it was odd to do so - it wasn't as if it was going to be some complicated manifesto or something.
