I'll be the reminder troll on this: STI's are going to continue to rise because people are now getting checked far more often. Half the doctors in the U.S. were never trained to ask about a patient's sex life in an appropriate way--meaning, if a person said they were married, that was the end of the questions about their sex life and that meant they didn't need to be tested (assuming there were no active symptoms). And they'll go up more when the south gets its head out of its ass and starts instituting appropriate sex ed as well as providing an easier way for teenagers to get tested and treated.

Rape statistics will continue to rise as well. GOOD. Doesn't mean there's more raping, just more women (and men) willing to call the police when it happens.
