Yes, she has had a facelift.

r1, if she has, then okay. She wants to be the best she can be for herself and her fans. As long as she's not addictive about it, no harm done.

I guess though, folks could mourn her "former face". But, time changes appearance too, quite often. So, it is what it is.

How many wigs does she own?

r4- No clue, dude. Maybe none.

But she IS a tabloid figure, Blanche, she IS!

Jackie Fox just loved her 15 extra minutes of fame over this!

I heard she wore a hairpiece during the "Up Your Alley" videos/concerts.

Anyone remember Rockabilly queen, Wanda Jackson? Joan is producing her new album. Should be out later this year.

R9 I guess Jack White wasn't enough for her.

She was pretty good looking on Roseanne's show. Definitely not concerned with wigs there.

R11. Yep, that's when she shaved her head. Wish she'd do it again

Nah, the look was good for the time...that time in her life. I'm not sure it would fit her now.

...But, she does have a very nicely shaped head, that's for sure!

Before shaving her head, she had this look (which it took some people a while to get used to as-well). Sexy both ways. I'm not sure how I like her best!

R19 I know. Maybe Kenny Laguna hooked her up with someone who does wigs/hairpieces.

R19 Ah. the Susan Powter look. She had that before and after she shaved her head.

r21- Yup. This was after the shaved head...Once it started growing back.

Are any of her parents still alive? Does she have siblings?

No, they both passed away. She based her song "Hard to Grow Up" on how she felt after losing them.

Her mom passed away in 2010 and her dad in 2007 or thereabouts.

And yeah, she does have siblings (a younger brother and younger sister). Here they are with Joan's mom shortly before her passing. As you can see, Joan stands out with her darker features, as both her siblings and mom have blue or blue-ish eyes. She still looks quite a bit like them though; I can see the similarities in her sister's smile and hers.

Her sis sort of looks like the actress from 3rd Rock From the Sun to me.

I think her mom looks more like her sister than her.

They could almost pass for the Heart sisters here...

r31- Here's a pic of her mom and dad, years before they got a divorce. I actually think Joan looks mainly like her dad, though she may not want to hear that. But, yeah, she has features of them both.

r36- I think it was 1993 actually. It was some baseball-related event. Joan is mad about sports as much as rock n' roll!

Yep, it was the National Baseball Hall of Fame Gala in May of '93.

Joan said that if she weren't a rocker, she'd want to be a few things- one of them being a baseball player.

R38 Almost made it into "A League Of Their Own".

It would be nice if she were in more movies and stuff.

Did Joan not have a good relationship with her father?

r41- It was a strained relationship for a long time. I wouldn't say "bad" but strained.

Joan always says she got along with both her parents very well, but there was a period that she and her father weren't speaking, according to someone who asked Joan at an event. He was into Classical music and crooners, stuff like that. He didn't like rock AT ALL. He didn't like the attitude, the clothes, or anything about it. And I think that, plus the divorce, drove a wedge between Joan and her dad for a while.

But, she was still his daughter, and he still loved her. So, one day, she looked out into the audience of one of her shows, and there he was! Imagine the tear-filled eyes that night!

After that, I think they were good.

R40 She has one coming out.

r43- I'm really looking forward to that.

Now, if she could only land a sitcom or something!

She just needs to be open to it. She has said she wants to do more acting.

[R9] Wanda Jackson is over eighty now! She, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Little Richard are some of the last surviving fifties rockers.

r48- Joan Jett is so cool, she's got friends of all ages!

I love how she is a producer from way back, when she helped the Germs, and now she's producing for Wanda Jackson- two completely different types of music. She also helped produce some Bikini Kill stuff- and has great music on her label. She's just the Fonz of the music world!

Yes , she is a true rock n roller. The new generation, especially gen z girls, love her too. She doesn’t have to court them, or collaborate with trendy twenty year olds, they discover her on their own, on her terms. She’s the antidote to Madonna.

Seriously though, I agree, but I think that's because she tours so much that it gives her writer's block.

Or, maybe she tours so much because of writer's block.

I think if she freed her schedule up a bit, the new music would start flowing from her. But, she might be afraid that if she did slow down for new music, it would be like waiting for water from a dry well...She may be afraid it won't come- so, she essentially distracts herself from that fear.

But, if she would just take a chance on boredom for just a little while, her creativity would start to spring up again, I'm sure.
