I would think what Holmes says would then have to be corroborated. My first thought was “so he heard Trump speak loudly AND heard Sondland reply in the affirmative? Was the call on speaker for all to hear?

Before this statement is brought to the public on national television, I would hope it is first verified to avoid egg on the Dems’ face and the repugs crying fake news.

Holmes's Committee appearance yesterday was just the deposition, where Dems learn what he knows and how credible he is. If he passes muster, they‘ll get his testimony in a public hearing. By himself I think he would have Come across as a bit more neutral, but she has a perfect poker face and delivery and Holmes couldn’t hold back his exasperation and toward the end his defiant smirking as the three asshole congressmen delivered their justification for destroying democracy. I thought the contrast with Dr. Hill was unflattering to Holmes. He sometimes appeared flustered and was not completely successful at hiding his emotional reactions during his testimony. Hill was completely unflappable and calculating. She was capable of cutting deeply while feigning compassion and understanding.

If a woman testified in the halting and uncertain manner Holmes did, and heaven forbid had the temerity to roll her eyes, she would be derided by everyone as overly emotional and not credible.
