DC Comics' Black Adam film has just found its Hawkman. The Rock/Dwayne Johnson, who will play the antihero Black Adam, revealed Friday that Leverage actor Aldis Hodge is going to play Hawkman in the upcoming movie.

Hodge is best known for his recent roles in One Night in Miami, The Invisible Man, Straight Outta Compton, Hidden Figures and Underground.

Loved him on Leverage. He more than holds his own with a very talented cast. I wish the show had run longer. It was very well and smartly written with great guest actors.

One of my favorite episodes features the team trying to prevent a major heist levels underground beneath a performance of Rimsky Korsakov's Scheherazade. The heist is being timed and cued to the performance. Hodge has to impersonate a famous violinist performing as a guest artist.

As it happens, Hodge was a child prodigy on the violin. That's really him playing. I can't remember whether someone else ended up dubbing the sound but the visuals of him playing aren't faked.

Not sure if OP's pic is depicting slavery but I've sometimes wondered how much were gorgeous black guys like him sexually abused by the male slave owners.
