"While polls generally show Trump retaining strong support overall among blue-collar whites, more detailed results in several recent surveys reveal a critical distinction: Trump faces much more resistance among working-class whites who are not evangelical Christians than among those who are. If Democrats can advance through that opening, it could prove crucial in 2020, because evangelicals compose a much smaller share of the white working-class population in the pivotal Rust Belt battleground states, such as Michigan and Wisconsin, than they do in the South."
The non-Evangelical white working class don't like Trump nearly as much

Don’t they mean Evangelical Trumpians? What does Jesus have to do with it anymore?

What did Jesus ever have to do with Evangelicals in general?

So, on average, non-evangelicals are less hypocritical and bigoted?
I'm shocked, I tell you, shocked.

That's why the Dems must run a moderate.

LOL - Yes, people are intolerant and hypocrites because they won't let your intolerance pass.

LOL.
Yes, it's utter hypocrisy not to tolerate intolerant beliefs.
Fortunately, religion is dying, so it's a moot point anyway.

What we need is the more Christian Christians to put the evangelicals in their place. Cmon Christians, do the Christian thing! Speak up. Speak out.

What we need is for people to stop hiding behind and justifying their choices by claiming divine guidance.
What we need is for people to stop abdicating responsibility for their heinous actions by claiming "they were just following orders."
What we need is for people to stop advertising their faith in order to claim moral superiority and go back to faith being a private matter between a person and whatever deity he worships.
