You know you bitches will bingewatch this in a day.
Netflix presents Dolly Parton's Heartstrings with Julianne Hough as Jolene
by Anonymous | reply 63 | December 22, 2019 7:53 PM |
Delta Burke's comeback to television and you chose Julianne Hough for your title?
by Anonymous | reply 1 | November 5, 2019 6:26 PM |
I wonder if Julianne is Dolly's type??

I wonder if Dolly is Julianne’s type?
by Anonymous | reply 3 | November 6, 2019 12:25 AM |
R1 had it right. It is like OP doesn't even GO here.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | November 6, 2019 12:29 AM |
R3 maybe Julianne can talk about that in her next interview.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | November 6, 2019 12:52 AM |
Her beauty is not beyond compare, and I won't excuse it, despite her flaming locks of auburn hair.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | November 6, 2019 2:20 AM |
The clip on the view looked awful
by Anonymous | reply 7 | November 23, 2019 12:00 AM |
“I’m begging of you, please don’t take my man — please don’t take him just because you can.”
So many men have said that to me when I beard for their down low boyfriends.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | November 23, 2019 12:12 AM |
I'm sure it won't be any Smoky Mountain Christmas.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | November 23, 2019 12:20 AM |
I'm sure it won't be any Kenny / Dolly Christmas to Remember
by Anonymous | reply 11 | November 23, 2019 1:11 AM |
I love Dolly, who doesnt ? But I am getting tired of her. She was awful at the CMA's and looked like a frigging puppet.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | November 23, 2019 1:16 AM |
R8 who else has she bearded for besides Ryan?
by Anonymous | reply 13 | November 23, 2019 3:42 AM |
She was on The View today and seemed to be confused what 'feminist' meant. Her response indicated she thought it meant "manhater" or *gasp* "lesbian". She quickly reminded everyone she's had a man for decades, and mumbled something about loving all kinds of people.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | November 23, 2019 3:52 AM |
DELTA'S BACK BITCHES!
by Anonymous | reply 15 | November 23, 2019 3:55 AM |
Which episode has the gray couple toasting each other in the trailer?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | November 23, 2019 3:56 AM |
Not watching because of Julianne Hough, god knows what she did to get that part.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | November 23, 2019 3:59 AM |
R14 clearly not the sharpest tool in the shed.
R17 hang out with Dolly??
by Anonymous | reply 18 | November 23, 2019 4:58 AM |
Jolene and Two Doors Down are the only two songs I’m familiar with.
Her Mountain Angel is perfect for a movie.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | November 23, 2019 5:58 AM |
The second episode is about a cute gay son in the closet!!
by Anonymous | reply 20 | November 23, 2019 5:37 PM |
I am loving the Kathleen turner episode
by Anonymous | reply 21 | November 23, 2019 6:03 PM |
[quote]She quickly reminded everyone she's had a man for decades, and mumbled something about loving all kinds of people.
The thing with Dolly is that she only cares about moving merch. She doesn't want to offend any of her redneck Trump supporters.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | November 23, 2019 6:11 PM |
Really nice to see Delta Burke again, and in a significant role. Would like to see her on TV more often.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | November 23, 2019 6:16 PM |
r14 this is Dolly or Julianne you're talking about?
by Anonymous | reply 24 | November 23, 2019 6:21 PM |
Dolly’s costume while working in the bar in the first episode is offensive. It’s basically a bra. This is too risqué for a woman her age
by Anonymous | reply 25 | November 23, 2019 6:23 PM |
r22, that's the cynical take. The Dolly Parton's America Podcast has convinced me that her light treading is far more complex.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | November 23, 2019 6:38 PM |
So Dolly’s just going to be available and affordable for some hillbilly New Year’s Eve Wedding concert?
by Anonymous | reply 27 | November 24, 2019 4:36 AM |
Am I missing a thread where Heartstrings is discussed in more detail? I LOVED this sappy crap. It was like The Notebook meets Hallmark Christmas movies. The "gay" episode (Two Doors Down) was probably the weakest of them all, while it's one of my favorite Dolly songs. "If I Had Wings" and "Cracker Jack" had me sobbing like a hormonal preteen. It was neat to see long-absent actors/actresses pop up (Camryn Manheim, for example, who was excellent in "Down from Dover"). Kyle Bornheimer is handsome in "These Old Bones." I want more episodes NOW!
by Anonymous | reply 28 | November 25, 2019 1:13 PM |
I do not think Dolly has the ovaries to be an out lesbian/bisexual woman. Everyone has their faults and I think this is hers. Still love her.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | November 25, 2019 1:27 PM |
Jolene was very enjoyable! Episode 2 story about the conservative society matron was quite shitty. I don't like Melissa Leo but I felt sorry for her. I few more episodes this awful and I'm out.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | November 25, 2019 6:12 PM |
No mention of a shirtless Colin O'Donoghue?
by Anonymous | reply 31 | November 25, 2019 6:22 PM |
I couldn't believe Delta's face. She looks nothing like she did on Designing Women, I actually had to shut it off it depressed me so.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | November 25, 2019 6:26 PM |
It has a gay storyline too yasss
by Anonymous | reply 33 | November 25, 2019 6:54 PM |
[quote]I couldn't believe Delta's face. She looks nothing like she did on Designing Women, I actually had to shut it off it depressed me so.
This has to be one of the gayest things ever written on this site.

Does Dolly have an illness? Botched surgery after 1 too many face lifts? Her left mouth is stuck in a bit of and Elvis grin, and she slurs some words despite her mighty effort to camouflage it.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | November 25, 2019 7:51 PM |
So far I'm not inspired to give it a try... and I like Dolly.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | November 25, 2019 8:16 PM |
I stopped watching almost right away.
The joke about the boss overhearing Jolene was so beat.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | November 25, 2019 10:41 PM |
R35 Actually, I noticed on the CMA she sounded like my grandmother, when she is breaking in a new pair of dentures.
R14 That is actually a pretty common position, among many women, across ages. It does at times seem like the "professional feminists" are just manhaters. So many women just don't identify as feminists.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | November 25, 2019 10:52 PM |
[quote]She was on The View today and seemed to be confused what 'feminist' meant.
Of course she was — she didn’t at all understand Elizabeth Cady Stanton when she first heard her speak either.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | November 25, 2019 11:07 PM |
This country is very fucked up right now because of the hatred of women. Spare me the manhater bullshit.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | November 25, 2019 11:14 PM |
I watched 5 minutes of it, and couldn't take anymore. Lifetime Hallmark movie. I think Netflix spent 500 bucks on it. Something my great grandma might enjoy if drunk.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | November 25, 2019 11:18 PM |
[quote] she didn’t at all understand Elizabeth Cady Stanton when she first heard her speak either.
Poor dear. Don’t fault her. Elizabeth was a notorious mush mouth especially when she had a bit too much whiskey. (Temperance my aunt Fanny!)
by Anonymous | reply 42 | November 25, 2019 11:49 PM |
What R41 said.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | November 26, 2019 1:09 AM |
Without Sandy Gallin, she'd be a forgotten 70s novelty- dueting with Porter Wagoner on jukeboxes.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | November 26, 2019 1:37 AM |
It was super-tacky and totally Dolly to start the show by plugging Dollywood.
That bitch is ALL about selling.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | November 26, 2019 2:06 AM |
She starts EVERY episode from Dollywood.
Yes its Hallmark but she makes a point of being super PC "inclusive".
by Anonymous | reply 46 | November 26, 2019 2:07 AM |
I watched about 5 minutes of the gay episode and turned it off, talk about cheap made for TV crap, this is why i cancelled Netflix.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | November 26, 2019 3:43 AM |
[quote]Does Dolly have an illness? Botched surgery after 1 too many face lifts? Her left mouth is stuck in a bit of and Elvis grin, and she slurs some words despite her mighty effort to camouflage it.
I noticed that too. The left part of her mouth was puffier than the right, and it didn't move.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | November 26, 2019 4:59 AM |
It takes a whole lot of money to look this cheap!
by Anonymous | reply 49 | November 26, 2019 5:40 PM |
OMG, Kathleen Turner...what happened?
Delta Burke is not looking at all like herself.
This is exactly why I cancelled Netflix, though. Cannot stand Hough.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | November 26, 2019 5:57 PM |
Is Benjamin Lawson related to Helen?
by Anonymous | reply 51 | November 26, 2019 6:16 PM |
Pretty sappy but some decent eye candy.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | November 27, 2019 10:43 PM |
I just saw the dog one. Each episode is more craptastic than the previous.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | November 27, 2019 11:21 PM |
Dolly should sing more blues and r and b. By the way somehow this series has out halmarked the hallmark channel.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | December 1, 2019 10:37 PM |
Dallas Roberts who played the husband was such a flaming queen the whole episode turned into Modern Family. Jolene I'm begging of ya please don't take my girly-man. Hilarious.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | December 1, 2019 11:19 PM |
I just saw These Old Bones with Kathleen Turner and I give it 2 thumbs up. Calamity Jane "JJ Sneed" sucked.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | December 3, 2019 5:13 PM |
Cracker Jack was a sweet story.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | December 3, 2019 5:29 PM |
I saw the Jolene one last night. Holy shit, the actor playing Kimberly Williams's husband was gay, gay, gay. When they were discussing their lack of a sex life, I kept telling the tv "bitch, he's gay!"
by Anonymous | reply 58 | December 6, 2019 5:10 AM |
Watching "Jolene" right now and it is so embarrassing to witness. How the fuck did this get made? Juliana Hough is awful.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | December 22, 2019 6:43 PM |
It’s better than the Cats movie...
by Anonymous | reply 60 | December 22, 2019 6:54 PM |
On the brightside we almost saw Colin O'Irishname's ass. The boy has some serious bitch-hips, great for clutching while pounding into him. I want to take turns bottoming him and Josh Dallas out.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | December 22, 2019 6:58 PM |
The casting agent for this should be fired immediately. The husband to Kimberly Willams Paisley is gay from outer space.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | December 22, 2019 7:14 PM |
Dallas Roberts is flaming in everything except Walk The Line. He’s apparently straight.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | December 22, 2019 7:53 PM |
