If some wigs can mimic scalps, then lets put it this way: it's not common.

Most of the time, if a scalp is seen, it's real- as wigs most of the time do not show that, which is why wigs are so easily spotted in movies and TV.

...To really know the answer to this, you would have to know a bit of what kind of person Janeane is, and what her reasons were for shaving her head that time she didm etc. By knowing that, you can guage whether or not it would still be shaved now. And that's how you'll know. Like with Joan Jett- we know why she did it, when, AND when it started growing back. So, we know what her most likely choices would be.
