So...I live in LA and a good friend used to be friends with Megan and Nick Offerman. He said once they got famous they pretty much just ghosted all their old friends. I realize this probably happens in Hollywood all the time but he said they were pretty close and he was hurt by the snub-so I'm guessing she's the bitch in this situation.

That doesn't surprise me about Meghan, but it does about Nick. I always pictured him as a stand up guy.

This makes me sad. I love W&G--the original and the reboot. It's funny; they're all great, and the writing is still so good.

If this is all true, maybe Meghan has hated all of them for a long time (it was reported years back that she and Shelley Morrison didn't like each other at all), and has just decided she has nothing to lose by not playing nice anymore.

Mullally is a piece of work sometimes. She pulled out of a revival of Terrence McNally's LIPS TOGETHER, TEETH APART on Broadway after a "disagreement" with director Joe Mantello.

She had pushed the creative team to cast Patton Oswald in one of the roles. During the rehearsal process she decided that Oswald should be fired but Mantello refused (I assume he's not in the habit of taking orders from cast members about hiring and firing). So she dropped out of the show and since she was the marquee name, the producers (Roundabout Theater) decided to scrap the revival and scrambled to get another show to fill in the slot.

McNally was livid, yet a few years later she showed up in a revival of his IT'S ONLY A PLAY, albeit in a supporting role. I assume someone told her to behave that time.

R1 That's actually not true. Bea appeared in every single episode of season 7. It was known Bea wouldn't not return for another season but the other three actresses wanted to keep going. It was uncertain if they would continue the show without Bea, replace her with another character, or do some kind of a spin-off (the latter was eventually chosen). So, producers limited Bea's involvement in a few early episodes where Dorothy had a scene in the beginning and would then re-appear at the end. This was to test to see if the three other characters could carry the show without Dorothy.

I'm not the biggest Debra Messing person, but I actually think the blame likely rests with Meghan Mullally. In many interviews, Mullally comes off as really cunty.

Maybe she's just like the character she plays -- aloof and entitled.

Behind the scenes guy, here. I remember hearing about the shelly morrison rift with megan back in the day. I just figured it's actor's being jealous of each other. But, I knew a guy who worked for Megan for a brief time, and he said she was kind of a bitch/cold. But she comes from NY musical theater and all those bitches be craaaaaazy!!!!! Since it seems that the reboot went in the direction of relying heavily on Lucy-type gimmicks and mugging, as well as canned laughter-sweetened filming done without viewing audiences, perhaps they should have originally just done the revival à la the 13 hour-long late 1950s “Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour” specials and packaged 60-minute programs spaced farther apart during each season.

You don't have to like everyone you work with on a show.

But show up to work, hits your marks, and know your lines. Then go the fuck home.

It's so unprofessional to pull shit like this, no matter how funny you are on the show.

I don't believe the "missing two episodes" thing. It seems odd that this would be publicized. Who is the source of this info? There is no reason the show would let the public know that she would be missing from two episodes unless she is being punished/penalized for something. Normally, if she needed a break, they would just take a 2 week hiatus and let everyone have a break, and everyone would be none the wiser.

They always seemed so friendly and happy to be doing this gig again in multiple P.a’s over the years.

Will & Grace ranks right up there with the great TV shows of all time: The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Designing Women, Seinfeld and The Dick Van Dyck Show.

The cast of W&G have always had such great chemistry. Megan Mullally is particularly notable for comedic skills and genius delivery. I hope this situation gets resolved. The show is great and shouldn’t end on a sour note.

I don't believe that she'd be missing two episodes just because there's some behind the scenes tension. There's probably a lot more boring reason, and missing two episodes really isn't a big deal. I don't know why people get so concerned about who follows who on social media, we're not all teenage girls.

If she's got a contract she would be expected to fulfil that contract, unless there's a really really really good reason. The show runners aren't running therapy they're selling programming - little if anything would be allowed to get in the way of the product. So if she's out there's either a good, explicable reason or things are so poison it is actually better not to have her there.

The show was so disjointed again tonight.

R40 Maybe I'm thinking of another show she filmed, but the rumors I heard about her on the set of ITM were bad. Apparently, she would be on set and scream "This just isn't working!" and "There's not enough talent here!" as they were filming. Everyone hated her.

I liked tonight's episode. Meghan and Debra had several scenes together, and they were pretty funny. Grace's embarrassing storyline was hilarious. Her applause-getting line at the end was too cliche, though.

A job on a sitcom in syndication is the best job an actor can have.

They work a few days a week, have a few lines at a time, essentially have an apartment on a studio lot, escorted to and from stage by a production assistant whose sole job is to shadow and cater to their needs, all of their meals are lavish and excessive, and they and paid hundreds of thousands per episode.

Jack and Will repeating the same jokes was dull as dishwater. The Karen and Grace stuff was good though.

I love W&G, but last night’s episode with Patton Oswald was not up to par. And it wasn’t his fault.

The reason the show is funny is because of the four principals interacting together: Karen and Grace sparring together; Will and Karen going at it; Jack being funny. None of that was happening last night. They were barely in any scenes altogether. Are they keeping Karen away from the rest of the cast? Sure seemed like it. Get it together, people. Last night’s show was way off.

We don’t need Patton Oswald. We need Will and Grace and Jack and Karen. Come on, don’t go out with a whimper. Suck it up and demonstrate the chemistry you all have together.
