I assume Turtle Head and the few other GOPers from Congress were officially representing His Lowness Donald Trump, Prince Of Darkness at the funeral? Or did Cheeto dust face send one of his family members?

R3, they’re no longer following each other on social media and everyone has seen video of Megyn on set standing away from the three.

by Anonymousreply 6October 25, 2019 6:01 PM

So it appears the boys have chosen to take Deb's side in the feud?

by Anonymousreply 7October 25, 2019 7:03 PM

So...I live in LA and a good friend used to be friends with Megan and Nick Offerman. He said once they got famous they pretty much just ghosted all their old friends. I realize this probably happens in Hollywood all the time but he said they were pretty close and he was hurt by the snub-so I'm guessing she's the bitch in this situation.

by Anonymousreply 8October 25, 2019 7:15 PM

That doesn't surprise me about Meghan, but it does about Nick. I always pictured him as a stand up guy.

by Anonymousreply 9October 25, 2019 7:20 PM

Aren’t Nick and Megan Trumpsters? While Eric, Sean and Debra are hardcore against trump?

by Anonymousreply 10October 25, 2019 7:22 PM

OP what the fuck is wrong with you? How the hell do you even manage to use a computer let alone post on Datalounge? You are one of the rudest son of a bitches I’ve ever encountered on here in years. There’s already been a thread on this OP. As a matter of fact, you selfish asshole, there have been several threads on this, but ohhhh nooooo “I don’t have to do a search” says Mister Head Up His Ass. Well pull your fucking head out of your ass for once in your life you selfish son-of-a-bitch and have some consideration for others for a change and do a goddamn search first. Is that going to kill you? Is it? Can you just answer that question? Can you? Is it really going to kill you to do a search first? What is wrong with you? Are you that much of an idiot that you can’t use Google? Don’t even try the old “search function doesn’t work” line because every cunt on here knows how to work around that. Do a search before you post a thread next time you fucking asshole. You’ve ruined my day and I hate you.

by Anonymousreply 15October 25, 2019 7:57 PM

This makes me sad. I love W&G--the original and the reboot. It's funny; they're all great, and the writing is still so good.

by Anonymousreply 16October 25, 2019 7:58 PM

If this is all true, maybe Meghan has hated all of them for a long time (it was reported years back that she and Shelley Morrison didn't like each other at all), and has just decided she has nothing to lose by not playing nice anymore.

by Anonymousreply 17October 25, 2019 8:07 PM

Mullally is a piece of work sometimes. She pulled out of a revival of Terrence McNally's LIPS TOGETHER, TEETH APART on Broadway after a "disagreement" with director Joe Mantello.

She had pushed the creative team to cast Patton Oswald in one of the roles. During the rehearsal process she decided that Oswald should be fired but Mantello refused (I assume he's not in the habit of taking orders from cast members about hiring and firing). So she dropped out of the show and since she was the marquee name, the producers (Roundabout Theater) decided to scrap the revival and scrambled to get another show to fill in the slot.

McNally was livid, yet a few years later she showed up in a revival of his IT'S ONLY A PLAY, albeit in a supporting role. I assume someone told her to behave that time.

by Anonymousreply 18October 25, 2019 8:10 PM

R1 That's actually not true. Bea appeared in every single episode of season 7. It was known Bea wouldn't not return for another season but the other three actresses wanted to keep going. It was uncertain if they would continue the show without Bea, replace her with another character, or do some kind of a spin-off (the latter was eventually chosen). So, producers limited Bea's involvement in a few early episodes where Dorothy had a scene in the beginning and would then re-appear at the end. This was to test to see if the three other characters could carry the show without Dorothy.

by Anonymousreply 19October 25, 2019 8:14 PM

What the hell is Messing with the balance of Megan’s beaverhausen?

by Anonymousreply 20October 25, 2019 8:15 PM

I'm not the biggest Debra Messing person, but I actually think the blame likely rests with Meghan Mullally. In many interviews, Mullally comes off as really cunty.

by Anonymousreply 21October 25, 2019 8:16 PM

Maybe she's just like the character she plays -- aloof and entitled.

by Anonymousreply 22October 25, 2019 8:21 PM

R15 nice try, but the original troll is much more subtle and less over the top than whatever that mess you posted is.

by Anonymousreply 23October 25, 2019 8:32 PM

I never would have guessed that Megan is really just like her Tammy character on Parks and Rec. Yet here we are.

by Anonymousreply 24October 25, 2019 9:58 PM

I don't really understand why people hate on an actor who has decided to move on, I know people are disappointed but she doesn't want to do it anymore and hating her for making a choice about her own life is silly. She's only out of two episodes and it was a temporary leave of absence, everyone calm down.

by Anonymousreply 26October 25, 2019 11:10 PM

Behind the scenes guy, here. I remember hearing about the shelly morrison rift with megan back in the day. I just figured it's actor's being jealous of each other. But, I knew a guy who worked for Megan for a brief time, and he said she was kind of a bitch/cold. But she comes from NY musical theater and all those bitches be craaaaaazy!!!!! Drama, drama, drama!!!!! Stage actors are so insufferable and their egos are enormous!!! What am i saying! ALL ACTORS ARE INSUFFERABLE!

by Anonymousreply 27October 25, 2019 11:27 PM

They really should have kept this to a 10 to 13 episode reboot over one season and then let it go.

Or done the British thing, where a few episodes are made when someone has something to say, not on a crank-it-out schedule.

by Anonymousreply 28October 25, 2019 11:30 PM

R28. NO! I like a full season of W&G. It's a great show.

by Anonymousreply 29October 26, 2019 12:56 AM

This feud is more interesting than Grace's pregnancy! They should just write it into the show and have a Grace vs. Karen all out feud with Will and Jack getting dragged into it.

by Anonymousreply 30October 26, 2019 1:00 AM

Since it seems that the reboot went in the direction of relying heavily on Lucy-type gimmicks and mugging, as well as canned laughter-sweetened filming done without viewing audiences, perhaps they should have originally just done the revival à la the 13 hour-long late 1950s “Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour” specials and packaged 60-minute programs spaced farther apart during each season.

by Anonymousreply 31October 26, 2019 1:11 AM

You don't have to like everyone you work with on a show.

But show up to work, hits your marks, and know your lines. Then go the fuck home.

It's so unprofessional to pull shit like this, no matter how funny you are on the show.

by Anonymousreply 32October 26, 2019 1:44 AM

Why is everyone suddenly blaming Megan? Earlier we all hated Deb.

by Anonymousreply 33October 26, 2019 1:47 AM

I don't like Debra, but it sounds like Megan is the problem.

Debra is showing up.

by Anonymousreply 34October 26, 2019 1:49 AM

They all have more money than any of the rest of us could possibly imagine, and yet they can't be mature and get along for the sake of the work? They are starting to look like Kim Catrall and SJP.

by Anonymousreply 35October 26, 2019 3:03 AM

I had a feeling watching the previous season that there was something going down behind the scenes. A and B plots were kept very separate and Karen was kept well apart from everyone except jack.

by Anonymousreply 36October 26, 2019 3:10 AM

"... on-set strife to get more people to turn in."

I think that's the problem: instead of watching, people were turning-in for the evening.

by Anonymousreply 37October 26, 2019 3:47 AM

Megan unfriended Hayes & missed 2 episodes for a reported feud?

The latter comes off as unprofessional. She should be happy that it's only 18 instead of the usual 22 episodes.

Count your money & your blessings Megan.

The Brady Bunch, Charlie's Angels, Alice, Desperate Housewives, Designing Women, Golden Girls & the list goes on.

Why can't actresses get along with other actresses the way male actors do?

by Anonymousreply 38October 26, 2019 5:27 AM

by Anonymousreply 51October 26, 2019 4:53 PM

I don't believe the "missing two episodes" thing. It seems odd that this would be publicized. Who is the source of this info? There is no reason the show would let the public know that she would be missing from two episodes unless she is being punished/penalized for something. Normally, if she needed a break, they would just take a 2 week hiatus and let everyone have a break, and everyone would be none the wiser.

by Anonymousreply 52October 26, 2019 5:06 PM

I had forgotten about that one R51.

It seems like for every single male on male actor fight, Hollywood has 4 or 5 actress on actress fights.

They are definitely not even.

by Anonymousreply 53October 26, 2019 5:07 PM

FWIW I worked with Nick on something once, and he is a class act. Highly intelligent, gracious, and very talented. He makes beautiful furniture on the side.

So, are Will and Grace finally going to hook up/get married in the final episode?

by Anonymousreply 65October 27, 2019 7:37 PM

What started the feud:

MEGAN: "What's going on here? Still hiding your post-abortion weight after that affair with ugly, long scarves?"

DIRECTOR: "Cut! That wasn't in the script!"

by Anonymousreply 66October 27, 2019 8:04 PM

"Put down the cheese and return to the picnic area!"

by Anonymousreply 67October 27, 2019 11:01 PM

I’m thinking this feud started last year.

Thinking about last season, seems as if Grace and Karen were hardly in any sketches together. This thing has been simmering for a long while.

by Anonymousreply 68October 28, 2019 6:46 AM

I wonder if it has anything to do with politics...

by Anonymousreply 69October 28, 2019 7:06 AM

Is Megan good friends with Susan Sarandon?

by Anonymousreply 70October 28, 2019 7:16 AM

Someone mentioned on set Hayes, Messing and McCormick stand together and Mullally alone. That’s a bit sad. Not emotionally unhappiness sad, but pathetic. If it’s true, that is.

Until I see a photo of Hayes, Messing and McCormick in a gang and Mullally sulking in a corner underneath an arri...I’m not sold.

They always seemed so friendly and happy to be doing this gig again in multiple P.a’s over the years.

by Anonymousreply 71October 28, 2019 8:25 AM

This stupid reboot should have never happened.

by Anonymousreply 72October 28, 2019 8:30 AM

Will & Grace ranks right up there with the great TV shows of all time: The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Designing Women, Seinfeld and The Dick Van Dyck Show.

The cast of W&G have always had such great chemistry. Megan Mullally is particularly notable for comedic skills and genius delivery. I hope this situation gets resolved. The show is great and shouldn’t end on a sour note.

by Anonymousreply 73October 28, 2019 10:14 AM

I don't believe that she'd be missing two episodes just because there's some behind the scenes tension. There's probably a lot more boring reason, and missing two episodes really isn't a big deal. I don't know why people get so concerned about who follows who on social media, we're not all teenage girls.

by Anonymousreply 74October 28, 2019 10:48 AM

R74. Megan Mullally missing two episodes is a huge deal. The show is in its final season, and she’s a major part of it.

by Anonymousreply 75October 28, 2019 11:14 AM

Didn't her mother die recently or something?

by Anonymousreply 76October 28, 2019 11:44 AM

If she's got a contract she would be expected to fulfil that contract, unless there's a really really really good reason. The show runners aren't running therapy they're selling programming - little if anything would be allowed to get in the way of the product. So if she's out there's either a good, explicable reason or things are so poison it is actually better not to have her there.

by Anonymousreply 77October 28, 2019 12:28 PM

Yes, she recently lost her mother, who she was very close to.

by Anonymousreply 78October 28, 2019 11:12 PM

by Anonymousreply 84November 1, 2019 4:34 AM

I liked tonight's episode. Meghan and Debra had several scenes together, and they were pretty funny. Grace's embarrassing storyline was hilarious. Her applause-getting line at the end was too cliche, though.

by Anonymousreply 85November 1, 2019 4:45 AM

A job on a sitcom in syndication is the best job an actor can have.

They work a few days a week, have a few lines at a time, essentially have an apartment on a studio lot, escorted to and from stage by a production assistant whose sole job is to shadow and cater to their needs, all of their meals are lavish and excessive, and they and paid hundreds of thousands per episode.

by Anonymousreply 86November 1, 2019 5:00 AM

R85 I liked the second episode as well. Jack and Karen are still funny with their shticks even when the "baby" situation is so forced.

by Anonymousreply 87November 4, 2019 1:50 AM

Jack and Will repeating the same jokes was dull as dishwater. The Karen and Grace stuff was good though.

by Anonymousreply 88November 4, 2019 2:02 AM

If you are a comedian, getting a gig on a sitcom in syndication is like hitting the jackpot.

Show up, hit your marks, and say your fucking lines.

It's not like you will ever see a job like that again.

I can't shake the feeling that Mullally is the aggressor, despite the fact that I thought she was a slightly better performer than Messing and McCormick.

by Anonymousreply 92November 5, 2019 9:33 PM

Meagan's about the age for "the pause." Maybe her hormones are bouncing all over the place.

No leaks, no reports, no nothing from all these Hollywood talking heads to tell us the real dish behind W&G..

by Anonymousreply 100November 6, 2019 2:04 AM

The real truth is that Megan Mullally had success apart from W&G. Eric and Debs were forced to return because they are not successful otherwise.

Plus, if you've ever read Deb's Twitter, you know she is batshit crazy. Team Megan!

by Anonymousreply 113November 8, 2019 12:37 PM

I love W&G, but last night’s episode with Patton Oswald was not up to par. And it wasn’t his fault.

The reason the show is funny is because of the four principals interacting together: Karen and Grace sparring together; Will and Karen going at it; Jack being funny. None of that was happening last night. They were barely in any scenes altogether. Are they keeping Karen away from the rest of the cast? Sure seemed like it. Get it together, people. Last night’s show was way off.

by Anonymousreply 114November 8, 2019 1:59 PM

I'm surprised Sean Hayes is involved in the feud, if it's real. He's a pretty low-key guy who gets along well with just about anyone.

Wasn't Messing screwing the director on "Smash?"

by Anonymousreply 126November 8, 2019 11:53 PM

She was screwing Will Chase, who played Michael Swift (the Joe DiMaggio actor). Chase is a scumbag in his own right.

Over?

I don't believe the blind item.

If Messing was the problem, the rest of the cast would unfollow her, not Megan.

R128 That was such a worthless non-article, it makes People seem like the New Yorker.

The Enquirer claims Megan had her therapist write a letter to Warner Bros:

Megan Mullally’s shocking leave of absence from Will & Grace came after Warner Bros. formally warned the demanding diva she’d get pink-slipped if she didn’t get along better with her castmates, insiders said. “Megan went into meltdown mode when she got called on the carpet,” an insider dished to The National ENQUIRER. “She had her therapist write a letter telling them she was suffering from ‘emotional issues’ and needed time to rest!”

That was pretty savvy of Megan to get a doctor's note. It will be harder for NBC to claim she is in breach of contract for not showing up.

R131 They should just write it into the show. Karen goes bonkers and declares war on Will&Grace! Jack is caught in the middle.

by Anonymousreply 133November 11, 2019 8:23 PM

Most of us have had to work with people we wouldn’t get on with in our personal lives, right? I don’t understand how these entitled hellfraus can’t at least be civil with one another for a few months. The show’s ending and they’re getting paid hundreds of thousands of dollars per episode. Christ, they’re actors - just suck it up and act your way through it! Fuck sake. x

by Anonymousreply 134November 11, 2019 8:56 PM

That would be funny if Megan tuned in and heard:

JACK: "OMG! Karen is dead!"

GRACE: "How can you tell?"

JACK: "She's blue!"

WILL: "Did she finally kill herself?"

JACK: "Yes!"

GRACE: "And people said -- and by people, I mean me! -- she was too drunk or stupid to take a hint."

WILL: "I gotta say, I don't think I'll miss her."

GRACE: "Me neither. Her whole act got really old. I mean, even before she did."

JACK: "Now it really is 'Just Jack'! OMG! I'm loving it!"

WILL: "Where's the body?"

JACK: "Most of her is still in the sewer."

GRACE: "We couldn't have planned a more appropriate send-off if we'd had a whole team of good writers."

I just hope they're friends again. It's a great show, and I would prefer it not get fucked up for its last season. I don't want it to end. I wish it were continuing another couple of seasons. W&G is still the best written comedy on television. I love it!

Baby, don't go.

Oh, dear.

by Anonymousreply 138November 11, 2019 9:45 PM

I just realized that "tune in" is such a dated expression.

Nobody has "tuned in" since the old days of a radio dial.

R132 Let's all try this the next time we feel like making life a living hell for our coworkers.

[quote]W&G WAS the best written comedy on television.

R136 Fixed it for ya!

by Anonymousreply 140November 11, 2019 9:52 PM

I hope it’s like Ab Fab and keeps coming back every few years.

by Anonymousreply 141November 11, 2019 10:21 PM

R141. Thank you. I agree. That would be great if W&G came back every few years. Better yet...don't go off the air at the end of this season. It went by so fast. They are a funny cast; very good acting. And I like it just as much as before with them older. They're still crazy.

R140. No need to fix anything. W&G is still the best written comedy on television.
