felicity Huffman out of prison after 11 days.
Felicity Huffman is out of prison -- EARLY, because she only served 11 days of her 14-day sentence.
She was released from the federal facility in Northern Cal early Friday morning. The scheduled release date was Sunday, but apparently there's a policy that inmates whose release date falls on a weekend get sprung the Friday before.
Felicity's still not finished with her sentence. She still has to perform 250 hours of community service. She's already paid the $30,000 fine in connection with her guilty plea in the college admissions scandal.
Mind you ... prosecutors initially were gunning for a year in prison for Felicity, which they scaled back to 4 months, and then one month. The Probation Dept. rebuffed prosecutors and said they'd be satisfied if she served no jail time.
Timing is everything.

OMG, she should have served the remaining few days. It would have made a world of difference !

Good behavior, she didn't kill anyone while in prison.

I think it would have been better for her career if she had served the full time.

And yet Donald Trump and his various crimes remains free, and according to his lawyer, can murder someone and face no consequences as long as he is President.
And yet the faux outrage from OP continues unabated.

Her best bet is say and do nothing self-serving. She'll be working in a couple years. This is in no way affecting her career down the line. People already don't care.

I care. She popped up in a rerun of Frasier I was watching and I skipped her whole character arc.

"WTF? What outrage?"
From you and every other person who cares about this ridiculous waste of time and abuse of the justice system. So what if a bunch of crazed parents are trying to game the system to get their shithead kids into a college. GWB got into Yale cause his old man smoothed the way, and Trump got into Wharton because his old man greased the skids. BFD.
There's a hell of a lot worse going on in this country right now.

Is this any surprise? I knew she'd be released in ten days, if that long, I've said to many... I think she should have stayed for a bit longer.

Does she have to register as a sex offender now?
by Anonymous | reply 23 | October 25, 2019 4:15 PM

Felicity should have been registered as a sex offender since her first day on the set up Desperate Housewives when she walked straight up to La Hatcher, thrust her hand up Teri's skirt and violently finger-banged her, whispering in her ear, "Don't forget who the real boss is." The whole set saw it.

I can’t figure out whey she recently looks like an embalmed corpse in an open casket. What kind of plastic surgery does that? Anyhow, on another note hope Lori and Mr. Chipmunk get the book thrown at them.

I don't think either Felicity Huffman or William H. Macy mess with their faces via surgery or Botox or fillers: they let them age naturally, which makes sense given that they are both character actors and so want to look realistically like their ages.
I agree that Huffman will be working again soon: this will be treated like Martha Stewart's time in prison. Lori Loughlin will have a much harder time. She was never a talented actress and her career depended on a kind of brand she had built, with the Hallmark Channel that is now ruined. She will also certainly serve more time.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | October 25, 2019 5:41 PM

Are you actually allowed to stay on extra time if you want to, R22?
by Anonymous | reply 29 | October 25, 2019 5:56 PM

You know Lori Loughlin is kicking herself for not taking the plea. She probably would have gotten a bit more time than Huffman, but not THAT much more. Now the worst is over for Huffman and she can get on with her life. For Loughlin the nightmare is far from over.

R28 clearly didn't see OTHERHOOD on Netflix.
Felix was stuffed with more filler than a Thanksgiving turkey, and sporting more fake hair than a Real Housewife of Party City.
Some posters here seem to confuse her natural plain-ness with moral or aesthetic higher ground.

What about the colleges and coaches and sat scammers, are they being held accountable?
If this problem was being addressed, wouldn’t there be tons of spots now open for legitimate applicants?
It seems like the entire industry should be upside down but it’s not. People want to focus on the actors because they love to see people fall down to their own sorry level.
Let’s see some real reforms at the schools. I haven’t heard a peep about that.

R12, the bad stuff in the world is happening BECAUSE of people like them. Entitled, lazy, stupid and amoral. They’re taking what they want when they want and only worrying about themselves and theirs. Why the fuck should everyone else have to work hard and keep their noses to the grindstone if morons like their spawn can get an Ivy League stamp for no effort. They can all go straight to hell.

Funny how people are only trying to bring up Trump comparisons when it comes to Felciity. Someone tried to do the same to Lori and was told to fuck off. Stop being such phonies. You're either Felicity's family or you're on her payroll. No one's buying the crap you're selling.
Fuck this man faced bitch and her privilege. She's not sorry for what she did. And to get out of doing jail time, she got her rich friends together and wrote letters trying to throw someone else under the bus. Sounds exactly like something the guy in the white house would have done.

Lori Laughlin gets a year, minimum. I think maybe two, of which she’ll only actually serve a year. They really want her now. She made a HUUUUGGGEE mistake not taking a plea.

No one here is Felicity Huffman's PR r42 you big drama queen, some of us legitimately don't care or think this is such a big deal that she deserved jail time. Have any of the people who actually did the scamming by faking sports participation or taking an ACT for someone else gone to jail? I can't find any examples of them if they have.

Let's do the math:
Felicity = white woman = 11 days in the pen
Jussie Smollett: black man = charges dropped for national racial hoax /no jail
I guess black is the new privilege...

R45 Jussie is also half white too. Hes actually half Russian and his father apparently was someone powerful and well connected to political power.
So there's that. He has high power on his side because of his white father.

I guess Felicity has already started the publicity push. Her interns are all over this.
Yes more people will go to jail and this sort of artificial entry system devalues the school and makes the quality of work the university outputs out go down. Of course they then make it up by scholarships bursaries grants etc. to the genuinely brilliant who must fight gladiator battles to get those grants. Do you get it now interns?
No go away. Go get drunk or something. You’re young! Live life!
