My take on it is that she kept up with having arguably one of the best bodies in the business for years. And she burnt out on all that.

She was successful. She's married to English aristocracy. She's the daughter of two legends. She has enough money - so she's gone against the grain and has NOT done anything major to her face or body.

And she still has a career. Everybody knows who she is. Pretty cool life actually.

How old are you OP? Pushing sixty isn't easy... I don't think she looks bad for her age at all. She's in great shape, and wears little or no make-up. I doubt you shall answer, but if my suspicions are correct, you're still quite young... hope you look as good as The Baroness at sixty. You do get bonus points for the Activia quip though!

Not many older ladies have gray hair anymore, especially in their 50s. That's definitely a factor.

I think it’s great that she is aging gracefully without resourcing to botox, etc and not giving up to the Hollywood pressure to remain young forever. She looks great and comfortable in her own skin.

Her face is that of a 60-year-old who hasn't had facelifts or Botox. People have forgotten what aging naturally looks like. Personally, I prefer it to the puffy cheeks and overfilled lips that her peers now sport.

As for Jamie, she basically looks fine but she just isn’t trying anymore. At least not trying to look traditionally feminine. Alas, these days when I see her all I can think about is shit yogurt.

Her mom Janet Leigh was gorgeous when young but she did age rapidly. Jamie has the same propensity to facial wrinkling that her mother had and she's decided for whatever reason to let it happen rather than doing Botox or whatever. Big deal.

I think her shirt silver hair looks terrific and is vastly preferable to the dyed hair with ultra-long extensions used these days by many famous women her age. I'll grant the glasses are very unflattering and make me wonder whether she's intentionally making a statement. "Yeah, I'm old and myopic; deal with it." But otherwise, she's trim, always well-dressed and takes care to present herself well. She's just not sticking needles into her face or going under the knife. I think it's pretty sad that's considered "letting yourself go" these days.

I love Jamie! I worked at a high-end Santa Monica art gallery in the 90s and she’d stroll in every once in awhile (she was friends with the owner). She is super-nice, earthy and self-deprecating. Classy all the way. And I think she looks great compared to some of these other freaky, over-surgeried faces you see here in LA.

Someone posted on another thread here recently that JLC had turned into the comic strip character Mary Worth and that's a pretty spot on observation. Her mother either had bad plastic surgery or maybe was just too thin whatever it was she didn't age well. Perhaps witnessing what her mother (and father) went through she didn't want to go down a similar route. Also, as an actress she might also want to work and casting agents generally like to characters that are in their 60s and 70s with people who look like people in their 60s and 70s which is why so many British women of a certain age seem to work a lot more than their American counterparts, save for Meryl (who does look her age) and Jessica Lange (who is a bizarre exception).
