It makes me like her a little more.

Correction. She refers to herself as queer which she defines as an umbrella term meaning not straight.

So will Ben's fraufans now finally shut the fuck up about him and Beanie being a couple?

Beanie Feldstein reminds me of every upper middle class, unattractive, overweight and overdramatic Jewish girls in my high school theater program in the mid 1990’s who were convinced they were the next Barbra Streisand.

There's something about her performance in Lady Bird that just flat-out charms me. I wish her nothing but a long, interesting career because of that part alone.
"IT IS THE TITULAR ROLE" Makes me laugh every time I think about it.
Her brother on the other hand... ugh.

I guess the difference here is that this overweight Jewish girl had the familial connections to turn that Streisand dream into reality. I won't get into the tired, yet important, conversation of nepotism, but at least Beanie's charming enough on screen to justify her presence. I actually wish her the best, but the place she and her brother have carved out for themselves in the movie industry is so obviously due to connections.

I can hear her voice in my head as I read that quote. She was incredible in that film.
Anyway, she's not going away anytime soon so those who aren't into her should at least get used to her presence. She just got this Globe nomination, she'll likely be at the forefront of the Emmy race with next year's Ryan Murphy Monica Lewinski project, and after that I fully expect her career to go astronomical. She'll probably have an even bigger career than her brother in the long run.

Weird that she didn't switch parts with the dyke in Booksmart.
