Mrs. Michael Jackson for 3 years. I can understand him needing a surrogate to bear his offspring, but he didn't have to marry her. Was he old-fashioned? Was it love? Did they live like normal man & wife?
God, what a freak. Look at the way he's holding the baby. And the sunglasses. Ugh.

Did he marry her before the first kid arrived? Maybe he didn't want to have a kid out of wedlock. And he wanted to project a family-man image.

He wasn't the biological father, he wanted to be married so he could legally claim the children. Even now most states do not have parental rights laws that are up with the times and always presume the father to be the husband. Some states limit time to claim non-paternity to as little as 24-48 hours after the baby.
Every legislative bill to require hospitals test every baby for father paternity has been soundly defeated because they know society would wind up with millions of babies that will be taxpayer supported if that passed

Debbie was firmly excluded from the will, but reportedly received between $8 - $10 million in their divorce settlement.
