I was in DC a couple of months ago and visited a couple of the Smithsonians and there were floods of little shits in MAGA hats everywhere, I wanted to kick every last one in the shin

It sounds more like a prank. Notice the headline reads "white" middle schooler and "black" person, rather than "Stupid kid spits off balcony and hits some guy below". You don't get much attention to your newsfeed that way.

I visited Australia in late 2016, right after the elections. I saw someone wearing a MAGA hat in a suburb of Sydney. I'm not sure if it was a political statement or he just picked up the hat for free/cheap. I say that because it was in an ethnic neighborhood that sells lots of knockoff goods.

I work in DC, not far from the White House. I admit I get annoyed when I see huge groups of MAGA wearing tourists--the hats and t-shirts. My PC side admonishes me to be more tolerant but honestly, I just want to flip them off and call them fucking idiots.

Maybe the kid is racist, maybe not I pulled lots of dumb pranks when I was a kid. A friend and I once spent an entire summer making crank phonecalls. I was never thinking about the color of the person getting pranked. Mainly because I wasn't thinking at all...just doing whatever seemed amusing. Like many kids tend to do.
