I thought Mark Hamill was so beautiful at that age. He was still cute after the accident (which, IIRC, happened before they began filming "Empire Strikes Back") but his looks were never the same after that point.

It wasn't his choice. He was considered not good enough. Which is true considering he was handed the lead role in the largest movie franchise ever and he couldn't parlay that into anything.
