Frances Fisher Announces: “Nobody DIES!!!”
Frances Fisher has taken umbrage over Deadline’s saying that Robert Forster died.
“ Hey @DEADLINE Can you please change your headline from “dies” to “passed”? There is a great difference between the two; and you as humans should know it by now.
Nothing dies.
Get hip to reality.
It’s all transition.
Respect.

The true insanity is publically demanding everyone holds to your insane views. Everyone is allowed to hold whatever eccentric position they want but demanding others hold it is a sign of insanity.

She’s right. I once passed Frances at Hollywood and Vine and I’m still here. But she WAS talking to herself and swatting at imaginary birds.

She's a big supporter of Marianne Williamson's bid to be president.
Nuff said

First of all, RIP Mr. Forster. I’ve got a soft spot for character actors.
Now on to the meat... why use a stupid euphemism when a perfectly good factual word will do? What is she, British?
He DIED.

R7 actually the British say died. It’s Americans who say passed away. When someone tells me someone has passed away, I ask where they went to.

R9, actually you make a good point. I think of the British as masters of saying things without actually saying them. But then again, they do have a way of being blunt, too. Like when they say “going to the toilet”, haha.
Was Fisher making some sort of metaphysical statement, like “energy just changes form” or something like that?

R13 I say toilet or loo. It’s not a bathroom or restroom, I don’t intend bathing or resting in there. I giggle at lavatory though.

Passed - what? Gas? On the right? A football?
As far as we know, every living thing on earth eventually dies.

I don’t understand. Frances says it’s a transition. But if we say “Robert Forster Transitioned,” won’t that mean that he’s now Roberta Forster?
Maybe we should say “went to San Bernardino.” Robert Forster went to San Bernardino = Robert Forster died.

Breaking: Robert Forster now passing as dead.

Energy never dies- it transforms. She is actually correct.
But yes, she is very new age and not only supports Marianne Williamson but they are very close friends- and have been for over 20 years-

Shouldn't she end her post with "Disrespect", rather than "Respect"? She clearly doesn't understand, let alone respect, the fact that DEADLINE (note: it's not called PASSEDLINE) might have different beliefs and opinions.

There is an interview with Mitzi Gaynor on youtube. In talking about the death of her husband which it seems was very difficult she says he did not pass he DIED.

Off-topic, but apparently doctors have to explicitly use the word "die" when breaking news about terminal illness. Euphemisms like "pass away" soften the blow too much, making it easier for people to remain in denial.

Miss Fisher will be appearing opposite DL fave Gregory Harrison in "The Lion In Winter" next month in Laguna Beach.

This reminds me of when Matthew McConaughey was being interviewed on camera and was asked to comment on Sam Shepard's recent "passing." Matthew didn't know and was like, "Sam Shepard has moved on?" He used that term a few times, which annoyed me. The guy died, what's wrong with saying it?

She gets a pass from me. You try being in a relationship with a fucked-up man like Clint Eastwood for six years and try to get out sane; it's mission impossible!

Gregory Harrison and Frances Fisher in The Lion in Winter might actually be quite good.
It might also be quite horrible, but I'm hoping for good.
