So young.

Good looking man.

He did one of the first ā if not THE first āĀ frontal nude scenes ever in movies.
Respect.

R10, no. I just love him, that is all.

Holy shit Iām watching El Camino right now and his screen time just ended like 5 minutes ago. Then I come here and see this thread. I canāt believe it.

āMedium Coolā was excellent. Forster and Marianna Hill were a sexy couple.

I liked him.

Trailblazer for male nudity in American cinema. And the star of what will always be Tarantino's best film.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | October 12, 2019 4:36 AM |
He was nominated for an Oscar for Jackie Brown, but lost to Robin Williams in Good Will Hunting. I saw an article in the Hollywood Reporter that called his character in Jackie Brown ānefarious ā, but I didnāt agree. Love that movie, and love the soundtrack, too.

Incredible actor. He was so captivating in El Camino. RIP. x

I saw "Reflections in a Golden Eye" so long ago I forgot or didn't know he was the horse riding soldier. Dunno much of his work aside from "Jackie Brown", but I think of him in that scene where JB plays the Delfonics for him and he loves them so much. He seemed easy to like.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | October 12, 2019 5:44 AM |
He was handsome and sexy right to the end. Yum.

Roger Ebert said he should have won the Oscar for that one.

RIP
I've seen him in many movies but don't remember all the names.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | October 12, 2019 7:06 AM |
Itās like he held on long enough to get this movie made and then peacefully checked out. Iām still in shock. I was so happy to see him in the movie. He certainly made it more enjoyable. The show, too. He made his character feel so realistic that you couldnāt doubt men like him exist in real life. Like you were finally glimpsing at a part of the underworld thatās often spoken about but never shown.
May he Rest In Peace.

R15 From "Reflections in a Golden Eye." He was beyond beautiful in that movie.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | October 12, 2019 3:09 PM |
I used to get confused between Robert Forster (AKA Bobby Montanarella) and Bobby Gubitosi (AKA Robert Blake).
R21 IMDB didn't include him in their list of frontal nude scenes.

Bryan Cranston tweeted:
āIām saddened today by the news that Robert Forster has passed away,ā Cranston wrote. āA lovely man and a consummate actor. I met him on the movie Alligator 40 years ago, and then again on BB. I never forgot how kind and generous he was to a young kid just starting out in Hollywood. RIP Bob.ā

From Aaron Paul:
"I am heartbroken to hear the news of the passing of Robert Forster. My god. I had the privilege of knowing this beautiful man and working along side of him. A true gentleman that loved to act. I love you my friend. Thank you for loving me. You are and always will be a legend."

He's the second actor associated with Twin Peaks to die this year, the first being Peggy Lipton five months ago.

R43, also Miguel Ferrer,Harry Dean Stanton and the log lady. Not sure if they died this year or last year, but seems like David Lynch helped these actors to do what they loved even though they were nearing the end.

I just watched it on Netflix yesterday. I didn't remember Robert Forster's name but did notice is rugged good looks even at 78. Also, liked his no nonsense character he played on the show.

Cut cock outline in R38's briefs photo.

Very handsome man. 78 years is a good run. Wasn't Jackie Brown a big comeback for him?
by Anonymous | reply 49 | October 12, 2019 5:34 PM |
He had a short-lived series in the mid-1970s called "Nakia." He was at his peak hotness. His character was supposed to be American Indian, even though he was combo of Irish, Italian and English descent. He stirred something in me as a 14-year-old. The name "Nakia" would enter crossword puzzle clues as "Robert Forster role."

Was he a boxer? There was something off about his nose in his youth.

Yes, he had been forgotten about for some years by then.
Roger Ebert picked Forster as the one who should have won the Supporting Oscar that year.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | October 12, 2019 5:48 PM |
Thanks R52. I'm not a Quentin Tarantino fan, but one thing that I've always liked about him is how he'll cast these obscure, long-forgotten actors in his films and totally resurrect their careers. If I'm not mistaken, Jackie Brown was a big comeback for Pam Grier too.

He made a guest appearance on an episode of Murder She Wrote set in the Big Easy.

He had brain cancer.
