I liked the nods to Charmed. The crystals, the psychics etc. plus the fact we had Heather, Heidi and Hayley Peterson. A nice switch on the P Halliwell. Plus “Heather” as the older sister must be a nod to Heathers/ Shannen Doherty.

Or "Heather" could have been a nod to "headcase" as in Rose McGowan.

Holly Marie Combs has never been a good actress. The last four seasons of Charmed were mainly her "angry nag" style of bitter acting.

R35 Shannen is somehow a PETA-lite animal lover , but a dedicated Republican. That makes her inherently hypocritical. Holly on the other hand is an animal lover who is a liberal , so she is closer to Alyssa in ideology . As people grow older that's usually the thing that serves as common ground. If I had to guess Shannen is likely a vapid person who adopts the beliefs of those around her, so she's probably got a lot of conflicting beliefs to go along with her inflated ego. People like that get looney as hell as they age. In sum, she's probably more difficult to deal with now.

I don't think ANYONE from Charmed really speaks anymore. I read that Brian Krause and Drew Fuller were at Holly's wedding.

Does anyone remember that old paparazzi video of Shannen suffering a meltdown in front of some nightclub and Holly was the only one who was able to calm her down. I never understood how a raging bitch like Shannen and a laidback person like Holly could be such great friends but somehow it worked.

I met Shannen recently and she seems super down to earth. It wouldn’t surprise me if HMC turned into a mega bitch.

She was a mega nag in the show, and got awful after the third season, which is around the time all the actors start feeling their oats and want to make script changes for their characters.

As much as I prefer the Prue years overall, I thought season 4 was the strongest on a story level. After that, it went to hell and became cartoon BS.

I got so sick of hearing Piper's "LEO!" shouts and the nasty tone she used for practically everything she said. She was the EPITOME of the nagging shrew wife.

The writing for most of the series was very uneven and illogical.

R48 I'll take it over the reboot. One season in and the show runners quit. And all of the recurring characters either died or got no closure. Looks like they're trying to compete with Sabrina .
