Oh fuck... yeah, the Friends logo is undoubtedly an artifact of 90s iconography... I guess it's been long enough that it can be considered retro. You don't even need to really watch friends to get a shirt with them on it. It's like getting a pic of the Beatles crossing Abbey Road. You don't need to know that album front to back, or even at all... it's just a universal symbol of pop culture.
