Prolapse Rectum

I'm a RN and this isn't discussed nearly enough in the gay community. Simply put, I quit bottoming once it occurred. Anyone else feel the need to share?

by Anonymousreply 113October 13, 2019 9:37 AM

I watch prolapse porn quite often, but to have one myself? No, thanks, I'm good! I'm very, very careful with what size buttplugs I use for playing and what I do with them once inserted. (I don't do anal, so that one's not an issue.) I really don't intend to spend my old age in diapers.

Though couldn't you get it fixed if it's bothering you? I heard once it's not that complicated a procedure.

by Anonymousreply 1October 6, 2019 8:58 PM

If you're an RN and have also had this happen, it would seem that you would have the most the share.

by Anonymousreply 2October 6, 2019 10:39 PM

This mostly happens to fistees.

by Anonymousreply 3October 6, 2019 10:40 PM

I have caught sight of the odd prolapsed anus on porn sites. They look delicious. How does one go about prolapsing an anus? x

by Anonymousreply 4October 6, 2019 10:43 PM

Deep, aggressive fisting and/or using monster dildos, both with as little as lube as possible. Do it often enough and you'll have one in no time.

by Anonymousreply 5October 6, 2019 10:49 PM

If you led a life of celibacy like the Lord asks us to, you wouldn't have this problem.

by Anonymousreply 6October 6, 2019 11:14 PM

If you led a life of sensible eroticism, you wouldn't have this problem.

by Anonymousreply 9October 6, 2019 11:23 PM

This is why they hate us.

by Anonymousreply 10October 6, 2019 11:30 PM

Lol. They will always hate us, regardless of however we “behave,” dear. Do you really think otherwise?

by Anonymousreply 11October 6, 2019 11:37 PM

I already shared my hemorrhoid story on another thread. Is a prolapse rectum painful? Can you just push it back in like rolling up a pair of socks?

by Anonymousreply 12October 6, 2019 11:47 PM

I don't think it's painful, just super inconvenient as it falls out when you go take a dump, or sometimes just randomly when you bend over in a grocery store etc. And yes, you just stuff it back up.

by Anonymousreply 13October 6, 2019 11:51 PM

i heard they can only be healed by an extremely skilled oral top, r13.

by Anonymousreply 14October 6, 2019 11:55 PM

The only way to fix it is a surgical repair, which isn't very complicated.

by Anonymousreply 15October 7, 2019 12:16 AM

Can they be fixed?😳

by Anonymousreply 16October 7, 2019 12:21 AM

If I bottom 3-4 times a week with a regular sized dick and use lube will I still be at risk?

by Anonymousreply 17October 7, 2019 12:22 AM

r17 You're always at risk with sustained anal penetration, but chances of it happening (over a longer period of time) are small when you're doing it like you described. You'll be fine.

by Anonymousreply 18October 7, 2019 12:26 AM

r17 probably not. the other posters are correct it is usually when you abuse it like with fisting or using very large objects,,, like comically large dildos. Even a guy with a 12-inch mega cock could fuck you daily and you would be at low risk. Anal prolapse comes from the weakening of the muscles and tendons that literally cause the anus to fall out.

by Anonymousreply 19October 7, 2019 12:29 AM

I'd like to know more about this. I'm asking for a friend.

by Anonymousreply 20October 7, 2019 12:38 AM

Prolapse porn started becoming more prevalent on Xtube over the past few years. I want to get off, and suddenly it looks like torture porn in the thumbnail... I don't need to see anything anatomically that red when I'm getting off.

by Anonymousreply 27October 7, 2019 12:51 AM

I think we should discuss this and the other damage that anal sex can do. It’s not homophobic to acknowledge that there is real risk of prolapse as well as general looseness that is a real problem for eldergays.

It took many years for me to get the straight advice about it - and Ive suffered as a result. Just regular anal sex caused me to have real issues with rectal looseness that I will have the rest of my life. Not fun.

by Anonymousreply 28October 7, 2019 12:57 AM

So your rectal looseness led to your rectal looseness, r28?

by Anonymousreply 29October 7, 2019 1:01 AM

R28 The trend in the mainstream media goes the opposite way: they even tell straight women that having anal sex is complete normal and safe, the anus will contract, no one will even notice etc.

by Anonymousreply 30October 7, 2019 1:03 AM

I can't hold in my farts for a few hours after taking a really thick one. Is that like Stage 1 or something?

by Anonymousreply 31October 7, 2019 1:06 AM

Why did I click on this thread? I’m off to my fainting couch, y’all.

by Anonymousreply 32October 7, 2019 1:09 AM

r30 Somewhat related, but it's crazy to see how many young girls in porn have rosebuds and full-on prolapses now because they're penetrated by those huge cocks with little to no preparation and lube. And it seems to me like their holes are extra sensitive to that sort of thing.

r31 No, that's just simple looseness that goes away after a few hours, like you said.

by Anonymousreply 33October 7, 2019 1:13 AM

I know what you mean, R21. Thumbnails that depict anything but sex acts (like body disfigurement or modification) should be left off the front page. Total boner killer to scroll past someone with 9” of their colon hanging out.

by Anonymousreply 34October 7, 2019 1:14 AM

Just when I thought the Germans had the nasty stuff all figured out, American Millennials start with the prolapse shit left and right some years ago. I wonder what's next?

by Anonymousreply 35October 7, 2019 1:16 AM

Unless people are doing it like complete idiots, anal sex does not make holes and rectums "loose" later in life. If you a human has a prolapsed rectum, it requires medication attention... nobody can just casually "push it back in"!

by Anonymousreply 36October 7, 2019 1:18 AM

[QUOTE] Just regular anal sex caused me to have real issues with rectal looseness that I will have the rest of my life.

And what’s your definition of regular anal sex, R28?

by Anonymousreply 37October 7, 2019 1:20 AM

r36 You can push it back in but of course that just means it's there in your butt and will fall out again, not that it's fixed. You can't walk around with that hanging out as it leaks fecal matter and mucous.

A permanent and actual fix is a surgical procedure.

by Anonymousreply 38October 7, 2019 1:23 AM

R38 Eew.

by Anonymousreply 39October 7, 2019 1:25 AM

r39 Some more ew just for you: it can eventually dry out, darken, and become leathery if you keep it out for too long. 🙃

by Anonymousreply 40October 7, 2019 1:31 AM

Just throw it over your shoulder and stop your whining.

by Anonymousreply 41October 7, 2019 1:37 AM

You can get a prolapsed anus from exercising or coughing too hard.

by Anonymousreply 42October 7, 2019 1:39 AM

How long does it take to get one, could I have one by swimsuit season if I work on it over winter?

by Anonymousreply 43October 7, 2019 1:44 AM

OMG, the idiots here. Anal sex doesn’t cause prolapse. The same hysterical ninnies going on about that are the same ones who shriek about PrEP.

by Anonymousreply 44October 7, 2019 1:49 AM

It doesn't cause it but it is a factor that can increase your chances of getting it if you engage in anal improperly over a longer period of time. I don't see anyone here claiming otherwise.

by Anonymousreply 45October 7, 2019 1:53 AM

Ah do declare! This thread is disgusting. Y'all are givin' me the vapors with your filthy talk! Y'all need to repent and find Jesus.

by Anonymousreply 46October 7, 2019 2:15 AM

I refuse to do anal.

But people tell me I can keep my prostate down to a normal size by massaging it internally with an implement (such as a warm carrot).

by Anonymousreply 47October 7, 2019 2:25 AM

Ok Prolapse MDs, we need numbers. Just how many dicks and just how big. I find it hard to believe that there's an epidemic of rectums falling out from having sex with an average sized dick a few times a week (or year in my case).

by Anonymousreply 48October 7, 2019 2:27 AM

So a prolapse is caused by what then? Anal sex causes prolapse and sphincter issues - fact. Not always and not after a few fucks - but often after decades.

by Anonymousreply 49October 7, 2019 2:31 AM

R47, your comment brings to mind that I know many bi and gay men (single and partnered) who don't have anal sex. Getting off occasionally should help keep a prostate functional and healthy.

R49, if your hypothesis were true, all men and women who enjoy anal sex would eventually "leak" feces, which is ludicrous. Humans have 2 sphincters -- 1 is "voluntary"/controllable and 1 is not so as to keep things working properly.

by Anonymousreply 50October 7, 2019 2:44 AM

I have the opposite problem, a concrete sphincter. I keep ripping the dicks off my suitors.

by Anonymousreply 51October 7, 2019 2:45 AM

r49 not necessarily true - childbirth can can cause it, constipation can cause it, chronic diarrhea can cause it, Excessive straining while shitting can cause it. It is a weakening of the muscles and tendons of the anus. Kegels and reverse kegels can fix that.

by Anonymousreply 52October 7, 2019 2:57 AM

I'm always amazed at how fascinating DL can make anything anal.

by Anonymousreply 53October 7, 2019 4:22 AM

Would any bottoms over the age of 50 like to chime in and give us your thoughts on this fascinating subject and your experience?

Anal sex does not increase your risk of prolapse. Huge dildos and fists do though. Gay men do not have a higher rate of fecal incontinence compared to the general population.

by Anonymousreply 63October 7, 2019 11:58 AM

My niece had bulimia for years as a younger woman, and ran with other girls in College who had ED in some kind of weird anorexic cult. One of the girls she knew had to be hospitalised for prolapse because it turned out she was purging anally (I know, shudder to think) as well as orally in the cliché Mean Girls way. Guess she switched hands?

by Anonymousreply 64October 7, 2019 12:10 PM

This is the shit troll in disguise.

by Anonymousreply 65October 7, 2019 1:26 PM

r64, I heard of laxative abuse by bulimics but "purging anally" ? Was she fisting herself or something?

It's not even a good strategy. Once the food is that low down the digestive tract, most off the calories are absorbed... or so said my health class teacher in the 90s. I haven't had cause to look it up again.

by Anonymousreply 66October 7, 2019 1:50 PM

OP made up his identity and this scenario.

by Anonymousreply 67October 7, 2019 2:18 PM

R63 - is that true? I’ve had GI doctors tell me of the risks - and met many older gay men with issues. And if fisting causes it, why wouldnt extra large dicks cause it? This thread sounds like an AIDS-denialist thread. It’s not homophobic to acknowledge the risks. Doesn’t make sense that decades of anal sex has absolutely no impact on fecal incontinence.

by Anonymousreply 68October 7, 2019 3:01 PM

R68, you just had an MD tell you. You just don’t like the answer. You could Google it if you wanted, but something tells me you would just dig in your heels even more.

by Anonymousreply 69October 7, 2019 3:22 PM

Thanks R69. I did and... surprise, surprise, my doctor was right and the “MD” R63 is wrong. Anal sex DOES increase the risk of fecal incontinence. Attached one of many studies,

Why is there such denial around this issue? We should be educating not denying. We need to do kegels, ensure we use adequate lube, be cautious of hemorrhoids. I’ve seen plenty of old gays with fecal incontinence - the smell and diapers are not fun.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 70October 7, 2019 3:37 PM

A few straight people (men and women) getting it in the pooper get some issues. EVEN LESS gay men have issues from getting it in the chute. CAN YOU READ SCIENCE? NO YOU CANNOT. Experienced bottoms know how to keep their holes in shape, and there are exercises - kegels. This is not about RAMMING HUGE HARD DILDOS AND FISTS IN YOUR GAPPING PROLAPSED HOLE.

But we know what you are looking for.

KEEP ALL COCKS FAR AWAY FROM YOUR ASS - it's something dirty diseased immoral homosexuals do. OR BOTTOMS. The worse. Who would want to be around a bottom. They just take loads. And then they end up in diapers. Frankly, who needs them!

ALL GOOD BOYS DESERVE FUDGE!!!!!!

SQUEEEEEEE

by Anonymousreply 71October 7, 2019 3:44 PM

Thanks for proving my point R71. That’s an overreaction and exactly what I’m saying is the problem. Can we not admit there are risks and make educated decisions - instead of saying there are absolutely no risks. I think anal sex is great - but there are risks. Doesn’t mean anyone should stop having anal sex.

Exactly the black and white thinking that happened with AIDS. Safe sex = homophobia. Which allowed gay men to believe that any restrictions on free, uninhibited sex were simply homophobic. God forbid we accept scientific fact and adjust behavior and expectations accordingly.

by Anonymousreply 72October 7, 2019 3:53 PM

R63 So you want to tell us that huge dildos and fisting are not more prevalent among gays than among the general population, Mr. MD? Chaturbate begs to differ.

by Anonymousreply 73October 7, 2019 4:22 PM

R71 If one needs to do kegels to fend of the consequences, one should not call this activity completely safe and harmless.

by Anonymousreply 74October 7, 2019 4:26 PM

On Reddit, guys with proplases anuses claim getting rimmed gives them more intense sensations. Can any DLers verify?

by Anonymousreply 75October 7, 2019 4:30 PM

by Anonymousreply 76October 7, 2019 5:53 PM

I once imbibed in one too many Grasshoppers on a wild vacation in Provincetown and went home with a what I thought was a nice and charming fellow. Well, do you know within 10 minutes he tried to licked my anus and I nearly passed out from the shock! I had NO INTENTION of any action down there and frankly even thinking about it made me sick to my stomach! I never again went to such a hedonistic gay resort and lucky I was, because I avoided all the AIDS. My sphincter remains intact and I have perfect BMs!

by Anonymousreply 77October 7, 2019 9:31 PM

R70,

That study reports 12% of men who have anal sex had fecal incontinence. That number is absurd. Clearly the questionnaire was not done properly.

by Anonymousreply 78October 7, 2019 10:31 PM

A better study (with objective data) showed no difference in incontinence or anal strength between 14 bottoms and 10 age matches straight guys who never bottomed.

by Anonymousreply 82October 7, 2019 11:40 PM

Boys and gals should do Kegels regularly. Why people don’t, is beyond me. Tops, bottoms, versas, and virgins- Kegels help maintain a well conditioned core, and can make a huge difference in your life when you naturally age and have increased risks of developing a weakened bladder or loose stools.

Medications can cause these issues, too. Diet is a big factor, leading to one of the largest risk factors for incontinence and/or prolapse of the pelvic floor, uterus, bladder or sphincter-anus: obesity.

Diets lacking fiber rich foods, laxatives, yo-yo dieting, longterm fasting, bulimia, anorexia, smoking, COPD, lack of exercise, weak core muscles (including the buttocks, anal cavity, vaginal cavity, pelvic floor, uterine wall, bladder, lower abs, upper abs, and mid to lower back), dehydration, multiple pregnancies & vaginal births with complications, multiple C-Sections without pulling up & adhering key abdominal muscles & uterine-pelvic wall muscles, once procedure is completed & before final suturing, frequent enemas, alcoholism, opiate use and/or opiate addiction, cocaine inserted in the anus regularly, regular use of suppositories as a conduit for illicit drug use (meth, heroin, crushed pills, coke, and even alcohol) lack of lubricant thereby causing painful intercourse and muscle strains, IBS, Crohn’s Disease, Auto-Immune Disorders, frequent diarrhea for prolonged periods of time, untreated STDs, massive trauma, extended periods of bed rest, non-ambulance, catheters, and plain old age.

All of the above can cause anyone, male or female, anal, vaginal, uterine, pelvic floor prolapse, under the right circumstances, especially as the body ages.

Sticking a fist in your ass or a dildo the size of a tree trunk might be fun, but can really fuck up your muscles permanently. This is why women who are birthing very large babies or multiples all at once, are scheduled for C-Sections.

Prolapses are more common after having the first occurrence of one, even after having surgery. Once you get one, male or female, reoccurrence is always possible.

Prolapse and incontinence aren’t the same thing. If you’re obese, sit all day, don’t exercise, eat like shit, develop COPD, pop pills that cause dehydration and compacted stools, hence regularly straining to defecate, you’re gonna end up with something much worse than a prolapsed anus, like a colostomy bag or a permanently diapered ass. You know, like Donald Trump.

A dick in one’s ass? Pretty safe.

by Anonymousreply 83October 8, 2019 1:06 AM

My kitten had a prolapsed anus.

The vet fixed it but it cost me over a thousand bucks.

My kitten is EVERYTHING . . . but he and I are going to have to discuss his whoring with big dicks.

by Anonymousreply 84October 8, 2019 1:17 AM

[quote]A dick in one’s ass? Pretty safe.

Yes, when done with enough lube and relaxation beforehand. When you put a huge dick up there out of nowhere and use only spit, you can clearly observe the inner walls being pulled out. That's all we're saying; no one is arguing that all anal automatically leads to prolapse. I saw a porn scene the other day of a normal hole being reduced to absolute giblets within a single sex session. And that came from a professional porn studio that should know better. Now do that day in, day out, and you'll have yourself a prolapse eventually.

Anyway, here's a hot video of Pierre Fitch showing how you handle a prolapse.

by Anonymousreply 90October 8, 2019 5:42 PM

[quote]This is why women who are birthing very large babies or multiples all at once, are scheduled for C-Sections.

Large babies and multiples aren’t delivered by C-section due to concerns about rectal prolapse.

It’s due to the high risk of hypoxia and damage to the baby during a vaginal delivery in those situations.

R94, congrats! You help prove a valid point. If you see this and don't mind answering a personal question, does anal sex give you a prostate/anal orgasm? I'm glad you have a husband, hope you're happy and stay together.

R95, thanks, I didn't know that. I only watched Oprah's show on tape if after I saw a commercial for a topic or guest that interested me.

About the judgmental jerks calling others prisspots... fist-fucking isn't only dangerous, it can be life-threatening. For years I was friends with a real gentleman who was sexy and marriage material. We never had sex, but had the desire -- sex tends to ruin friendships. He likes to FF to assert dominance. I'm willing to role-play to satisfy a man, so I would've tried it because he knows the dangers, he knows how to do it cautiously, and I respect him and he respects me. That's what many gay guys lack, especially if it's anonymous or casual sex.

by Anonymousreply 97October 11, 2019 5:45 AM

R70, thanks for posting that, but anyone who has had Statistics in college knows that study is not valid due to a sample that's not representative, which it basically admits. Data are required from doctors or their assistants who've diagnosed anal leakage, prolapses, etc. The general public is not going to give accurate and honest answers, even when confidentiality is assured.

Since it's been mentioned in this thread, there's a difference between a prolapsed anus and a prolapsed rectum.

When I was visiting a friend in Palm Beach, I saw an elderly lady in Walgreens wearing linen pants through which I could see her adult diaper for fecal incontinence. I know that urinary incontinence is a very common problem in the USA, but don't think the other problem is, and don't think anal sex is involved the problem.

I've had gay doctors who've given excellent advice, including don't have sex in bath houses and don't be a cum dump. My urologist knows I'm gay. None of those doctors has said anything about anal sex except always use condoms.

by Anonymousreply 98October 11, 2019 7:59 AM

by Anonymousreply 103October 11, 2019 6:11 PM

r102 I can tell you one thing. Like it or not I won't go more than 2 days without initiating sex. At the very minimum, I will blow him no reciprocation before bed or in bed before sleep. Even if I don't really want to (and trust me blowing that horn is a chore). But, it keeps the sex front and center. I dunno if it is a conditioning effect but that got him horny at night. Usually leads to full on fucking, not always but at least a few times a week. I just make sex a priority.

by Anonymousreply 105October 11, 2019 7:50 PM

It's more likely that childbirth and lazy modern lifestyles lead to weakened pelvic floor muscles in many women (esp. older women), and that's where the real risk of prolapse is. Keep your pelvic floor healthy and you can enjoy anal intercourse without worrying that your guts is going to fall out later in life.
