She wasn't at all entitled and simply wanted to know how her daughter could improve through hard work and concerted effort. She wasn't demanding an A for her kid. It was in contrast to a lot of parents there.

R26, Christopher Lee may have been a Secret Agent and assassin during WWII, he dropped a lot of hints over the years about activities he was forbidden to discuss. His cousin Ian Fleming was the author of the James Bond books, which were written from the 1950s on... and I like to speculate that Christopher Lee, future movie Bond Villain, was the original inspiration for James Bond!

Lee was also a huge fan of J.R.R. Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings" movies, and was immensely proud to have met Prof. Tolkien. When he appeared in the movie trilogy, he said it was his duty to "represent the fandom" on the set. And he spoke like 12 languages. Honestly, Christopher Lee sounded like 200 kinds of awesome person.

by Anonymousreply 37October 4, 2019 10:30 PM

In the movie "Uncle Buck" Macaulay Culkin was having a lot of trouble with his lines during the interrogation scene so John Candy told John Hughes to film over John's shoulder and John fed Macaulay his lines and he repeated them back on camera.

John could memorize an entire script in a couple of hours--his lines, other actor's lines, directions, etc. Many times Hughes wouldn't ask the script person for lines or cues during a scene but would ask Candy.

The popular story of their falling out is that Candy wasn't able to do a film Hughes wanted him in, (Candy chose to do the movie "Delirious" and passed on the movie "Dutch",) but the truth is Hughes had promised Candy the chance to direct a film but kept taking the offer away. Candy got fed up and refused to work with Hughes again. Hughes tried to make amends over the years but when Candy cut someone out of his life they were gone forever.

Heard this from someone who ran with Madonna's crew in the early 1990s.

Robert Van Winkle, aka Vanilla Ice was an escort in Dallas after his motocross career ended and before his music career took off.

His GF at the time was a black girl who worked in a hair salon. She would set up "dates" between Winkle and horny white women looking for a bit of rough.

The story of Suge Knight threatening to throw him off the hotel terrace is popular, but in reality Suge Knight took him onto the terrace and promised to expose him as a hooker and go even further in saying he fucked men for money.

Madonna started dating him because he was popular and she thought he was a hard ass thug fuck machine but when they were together all he did was smoke weed and play video games.

R110-Duchovny had even planned his dissertation to be on Spenser's The Faerie Queene before he jumped ship. One can only imagine what a lecherous professor he would have been with his students.

Also, Robbie Van Winkle (Vanilla Ice) was pretty bisexual when he was younger. I met him in Dallas one weekend in high school and he flirted openly with my (male) friend. Later my friend intimated that they had sex of some kind. Oral I think.

R126 when Vanilla Ice became really famous one of those rap magazines ran a story that he was sexually involved with Tommy Quon, his first and only manager.

There was more than a whiff of homophobia in the article with "first hand" accounts of people seeing them together out in public and Quon "actin' like Ice's bitch".

Quon is still his manger to this day.

heartbreaking claim about corey haim on wikipedia: "Haim was briefly engaged to actress Holly Fields in 1996. She was left devastated by his passing and remembers Corey for his giving nature. "I remember one time Corey had spent the day at an autograph signing and even though he was completely broke at the time, when he got paid at the end of the day he went straight to Petco and blew all the cash on dog bones and toys. Then Corey went to an animal shelter in Anaheim and he handed out the bones to the dogs, he personally made sure that each and every dog had a bone and a toy. He was such a sweetheart like that and totally generous – to a fault."
