Cute kid... looking at the dad it probably won't last.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | October 2, 2019 6:40 PM |
My goodness but Steve was crazy enthusiastic about what he did!
Animal Planet is running his very first stuff and he’s out of control! He looks like he absolutely loved what he was doing.
He got bit by some alligator or croc in some river. He didn’t care and just kept going, getting super close to them.
He was awesome.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | October 2, 2019 6:43 PM |
He has his personality too. They mention the resemblance in this Jimmy Fallon clip.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | October 2, 2019 6:43 PM |
There must be a lot of money in that zoo business. That kid probably wants to be anywhere else in the world but the money at that zoo is just too good.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | October 2, 2019 6:46 PM |
I don't know, R6, he looks pretty enthusiastic about it all to me.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | October 2, 2019 6:47 PM |
I feel for the family, and they're less annoying than the Widow McCain, but it seems like every other word they say is "My Father"
by Anonymous | reply 8 | October 2, 2019 6:47 PM |
Robert is definitely cuter than his father (that's thanks to his mother), but as R2 said, it won't last.

The daughter Bindi is all grown up and getting married.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | October 2, 2019 7:17 PM |
I pity that kid, he isn't allowed to be himself or live his own life, he's on track to spend his whole life living in his father's shadow and being unable to live up to his father's unique legacy. Because yeah, his father was unique and wonderful, no human being in the history of the world has ever loved reptiles so much or with such genuine enthusiasm! Because yeah, a lot of Irwin's schtick was exaggerated or put on, but not his insane love for reptiles. That was for real.
Terri Irwin thinks she's doing the right thing, but she's become a monster stage mother.

by Anonymous | reply 32 | October 2, 2019 8:47 PM |
Steve Irwin was popular because he was authentically awkward and dorky for smelly animals. People loved to laugh at him as well as with him. He was unique.
Contrast him with his stage-managed, manicured, mannered children who are dull as dirt. That kid should get an education and a reliable desk job.

by Anonymous | reply 34 | October 2, 2019 8:53 PM |
Well he has a lot of fans and followers R33, so more people are into him than you think. He gets to appear on shows like Jimmy Fallon and get paid for it. Doesn't seem like such a bad life to me.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | October 2, 2019 8:54 PM |
He prefers to be called Robert. Not Bob or Bobby. Robert.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | October 2, 2019 9:02 PM |
Yes indeed, he really is handsome. And sister Bindi has grown into quite a beautiful young lady.
Despite loosing their Dad when they were very young, they seem to have become very confident and well adjusted, with the same enthusiasm as their father possessed for causes near and dear to his heart.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | October 2, 2019 9:08 PM |
Thank you, R20. He seems really engaging - and engaged. I don't get the sense that he's being forced to follow his father's legacy. You can't fake that kind of love for animals.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | October 2, 2019 9:19 PM |
I don't get the feeling he's being pressured to continue his father's legacy... honestly, I imagine for that family it's an honor, especially considering the very positive influence he had on pop culture, as well as our relationship with animals. Sure, it's the family business and brand, but it seems like Robert's passion is genuine, and he's found a way to carve out his own identity.
He's very natural in front of the camera, though it's taken him some time. I remember on his early Fallon appearances he seemed comfortable, but kind of performative. I feel like a lot of that has subsided and he's acclimated to the life of a public figure.
I think wildlife photography's probably going to be a big thing for him. He included "photography" at the end of his IG handle, so I think that hobby's something he wants to be known for, as well as his work with animals. I think he'll be around for a while.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | October 2, 2019 9:24 PM |

Doesn't anyone on DL know the difference between "lose" and "loose"?
by Anonymous | reply 40 | October 2, 2019 9:28 PM |
Way cuter than the dad. I mean, Steve was great but on attractiveness alone the son has him beat.
He's just starting his career - no surprise that he may not yet be as smooth as his old man in front of the camera.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | October 2, 2019 9:28 PM |
R39, it seems he wants to be known foremost as a photographer. He has his own website. He actually quite good. It's nice to see that he's working at it. Yes, he's been handed a tremendous leg up but he's putting in the time. That's in marked contrast to Victoria and David Beckham's talentless son Brooklyn, who was handed a primo spot at Parsons School of Design, was given a coveted internship with an acclaimed photographer, allowed to shoot a fashion campaign for Burberry and was given a vanity book project. All that and the little shite still hasn't actually accomplished anything.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | October 2, 2019 9:38 PM |
He probably has a big Aussie cock.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | October 2, 2019 9:42 PM |
R42 You know, I'd never gone to his official site... just saw his photography on IG. He's quite good, and, you're right to compare him to the Beckham boy. Robert actually has an eye, and seems to care about the craft, whereas Brooklyn probably likes the idea of being a photographer, without actually having any sort of vision, despite the numerous opportunities.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | October 2, 2019 9:47 PM |

For R56, it seems that Terri and Bob Irwin never got along in the first place but maintained civility for Steve’s sake. After Steve’s passing, there was no need or desire to keep up appearances. Its a bit sad considering that Bob is an old man now and has health issues.

That award went to Bindi, who the public voted for. Her win was caused a slight stir on twitter with people wondering what she even did to deserve it. Bindi won Dancing With The Stars at about 17 years old. She was a genuinely lovely young girl. Like as in too good to be true, with that strange and excited way of talking they all have. But I watched her week after week and she really was just the nicest person. Amazingly sweet and grateful and KIND. She was with Derek, who is the most calculated dude around and he clearly was in awe of her. They're special kids those Irwins. Can't wait to see young Robert doing a cha cha cha. There's no harm in looking at his booty. Is there officer? You know his mom will have him on DWTS as soon as he's ready to be groin to groin with a Mormon girl. Robert would do a snazzy quickstep, you can just tell. And because like his sister he can learn anything and do anything all with humility and enthusiasm - he would likely win.
I repeat, they are lovely kids. Their parents passed on a lot of beautiful qualities to them and obviously raised them with love and respect. People you don't want any harm to come to. Ever. Mom looks a lot like Linda McCartney, but someone's got to be, right. Can't be cavorting with stingrays and Jimmy Fallon all the time.
Watch the dance. It's quite beautiful. Bindi brought out the prince in the yellow skin dancer.

The man with the yellow skin is a great dancer, but his respect and care for Ms. Bindi makes him appear princely. He shows off his fine body and skill - but subtly gives her the spotlight. Derek has a sexy body for a man with such unusual features. Here he pays tribute to Bindi's relationship with her father. Steve Irwin was also yellow skinned, so it's especially touching.
You're welcome R130.

Anyone catch him and his mother talking about the devastating impact the wildfires are having on Australia's koala population? His face is maturing, so he's looking a bit more like a man. I wonder just how much like his dad he'll ultimately look. And to the person who asked if they were in a cult... well, in a sense, sure. They're all attempting to keep their fallen patriarch's legacy alive by reflecting his style in their own ways. Robert's already done so much to distinguish himself from his father though. He's already a recurring personality on the Tonight Show, and breathing new life into the animals-in-late-night shtick. He's also a pretty accomplished photographer, and his advocacy for nature is genuine. He's gracefully becoming; has arguably already become, the new leader of the Irwin clan.

He has a visible facial mole. Some on DL won't like that.

Most on DL won't like anything.

Robert's got some beefy legs himself. Does he play rugby?
by Anonymous | reply 163 | March 30, 2020 6:13 AM |
His legs ARE beefy. I never really noticed. He's been maturing a bunch over the past year. He's obviously gonna grow into yet another Australian beefcake, but he'll be surrounded by animals, which'll wet pussies worldwide. I'm honestly concerned, because he seems like a sweet kid with a head on his shoulders, and he's gotta be getting DMs from his followers. He just doesn't seem like that type of dude, but WHO KNOWS?!
I'm just saying... he'll have a lot of power going forward, and I wonder how he'll use it.
by Anonymous | reply 164 | April 24, 2020 12:49 PM |
The other thing is, he's a suuuuuuuuuuuper savvy communicator. He and his sister are relatively distinct from other celebrity children, and it's likely because they have a purpose other than themselves. That being said, however, they understand the show business aspect of it, and you can [italic]tell[/italic] that Robert does. He knows exactly how to make those around him feel at ease and educated, but he can also comedically improvise with the situation, as we've seen him do on Fallon.
Both Robert and his sister have managed to channel the same genuine spirit their father did, despite the fame, which is strange and refreshing to see.

I hate it when people 'open up' about anything.
by Anonymous | reply 166 | April 24, 2020 12:57 PM |
I’m so sorry, but the brown shirt makes him look like a Hitler Youth.
Maybe the young people don’t know what that is, and it’ll whoosh over their heads.
by Anonymous | reply 167 | April 24, 2020 12:58 PM |
Much cuter than his father, he lucked out and got his mother's eyes, Steve's made him look as little, er, special sometimes. Pretty sure he's family so he'll take better care of his skin and appearance in general, good for him, he's a cutey.

[quote]Pretty sure he's family so he'll take better care of his skin and appearance in general, good for him, he's a cutey.
I think he's family too. Either that or he's a heterosexual FREAK. He's got gay younger brother written all over him, but I've found that this type often ends up married to a woman. Still doesn't mean they're fully hetero, but it means they're willing to ultimately subscribe to it. We'll see on Robert though. I can see him just dedicating his life to the animals and zoo, and being this like... pristine spokesperson who educates and takes pictures. Then randomly he'll come out or something, but I think all of that is low priority for him.
I do think he knows he's attractive though, and he's been incorporating that into his brand lately. The whole family's been stepping it up, actually. I think they're smart to play the media game on their own terms. Their father's death has, in ways, allowed them to do that.

[quote]Yes indeed, he really is handsome. And sister Bindi has grown into quite a beautiful young lady. Despite loosing their Dad when they were very young, they seem to have become very confident and well adjusted, with the same enthusiasm as their father possessed for causes near and dear to his heart.
This has got to be a frau post.

Why do so many aussie men have that annoying nasal voice and methed out frenetic personality? It is very off-putting, you just want to stick your dick in their mouths to make it stop. And Bindi has chinky eyes, what's up with that?
by Anonymous | reply 177 | April 26, 2020 5:08 PM |
Bindi, while much improved in looks, looks like a troll doll. As a child she had an uncanny resemblance to those trollish Olsen twins who were absolutely ugly children.

That is how to tell an Aussie from a Kiwi. Aussies are nasal.

We gotta look at their grandparents. I suspect that's where those doll features come from, cause she for sure has it, though I think they've both grown into their looks super well as of late. Like... [italic]really[/italic] well. I think in like 5 years (maybe sooner) they're gonna appear on the cover of some important magazine with like a FULL retrospective of where they've come. By then they'll have cured climate change or something after discovering a set of new animal species.
