This show is like The Walking Dead to me. As in, I reluctantly watch it because I've watched it since the beginning. It's like watching an elderly relative's health fail. You don't like watching it happen but you have to stay with them. Lip does seem to get sexier and sexier though.

Had to stop watching when I realized there wasn't a character left I could even hate watch. And why did Debbie have to become such a mean, nasty bitch? Fat, dumb and ugly is no way to go through life.

R39 well she was a girl who at 15 or 16 thought getting knocked up by a guy that didn't want kids was a great decision

History repeats itself - the UK original series started off great for the first few years but jumped the shark when they had Ian suddenly discover her liked pussy and wrote him off the show with a girlfriend...Showtime did have him fuck a girl but wrote it off as a grunge fuck gone bad and he remained gay and of course he had to have a trans boyfriend...Both shows should have ran 4-5 years and ended when original story arcs ran out rather than just throwing everything at the wall and hoping something stuck.

I'm watching for Ian and Mickey. No other characters are of any interest to me and haven't been in years. The show needs to wrap up all the loose ends this season and sign off. They are out of ideas.

I’ve enjoyed the series and had a hard on for Steve/Jimmy. Kevin is my favorite character and I’m sorry Fiona is gone. Debbie is loathsome.

What bothered me throughout was all the graphic puking in almost every episode. Enough!

They updated the intro but we don't see Cameron's ass? We only get boxers? What a rip-off. One of this show's claims to fame was having nudity in the intro, it set the tone and was shocking for its time. Also, there's something really funny about them having a grown-up Debbie pissing in Fiona's place and then immediately showing a nine year old Carl. It's half-disturbing to think about and half-funny because of how lazy it is. This show has never had great writing, but it got famous because of the revolutionary lewdness of it. That level of excess alcohol, drugs, nudity, swearing, and violence had never really been seen on TV before. And they've even lost that in the more recent seasons. Now it's just a nothing show. But hey, at least it didn't start sucking in the second season like The Walking Dead and go downhill from there. We had a few glory years.

I have the same problem with the show as I have with the Sopranos. all of the main characters are horrible ugly people who I wanna see bad things happened to because they're such assholes but at least the Sopranos was entertaining and well acted

It's been such a cartoon from episode 1. There's always a crisis that needs money and they manage to find sometimes thousands in a day or two to save the day. The fact those kids never kicked the father to death years ago is ridiculous.

To be fair, the family did toss him off a bridge into the river several seasons back, but he inexplicably survived.

Frank ruins the show. He was sick and dying in season 4 and should have been killed off. He adds nothing to the show. He's hideously ugly and completely unfunny.

Frank had a liver transplant one season against all reason. They never would have given him one based on his complete inability to take care of himself, stop drinking, and stay on his meds. He would have been dead years ago if this show was even .001% realistic.

That was such a great season that I didn’t even mind at the time when we find out that Frank is going to survive.

It was the following season where it started to decline, although Fiona had a super hot boyfriend (the guy who’s currently banging Channing’s ex) that season.

Gays deserve representation from quality TV, and this isn’t it. Not by a long shot. Goddamn it, Hollywood still thinks they can slap a gay character into anything and we’ll accept it unquestioningly. This show shouldn’t have gotten past the pilot stages; it literally made my stomach hurt.

Here's what I'd like to see happen in the final season:

Frank dies alone and miserable. No one finds his body.

Fiona returns as a successful businesswoman.

Lip goes back to college.

Ian and Mickey get married and settle down.

Deb, eh, whatever.

Carl joins the police academy.

Liam goes back to the private school (which Fiona gladly pays for).

Kevin and Vee keep doing what they're doing, maybe with an improved but still divey Alibi (thanks to an investment from Fiona).

I'd like to see the show pulled from circulation forever for promoting that glorified ex-gay propaganda. If they were black, then you'd call every one of these characters a stereotype. "White trash" shows are just means of projecting black stereotypes onto white people. I hated [italic]Who's the Boss?[/italic] for the same reason.

Shameless is a show I watch out of habit after I've finished things that are more interesting to me. Just watched season 10 after reading recaps of the previous two and deciding I didn't need to see Debbie get her toe cut off with pliers or whatever bullshit they were doing. Season 10 was a perfect example of this series' problems. People do crazy things for no reason with no consequences. Characters come in and do crazy shit and then vanish. The Gallaghers do stupid things to fuck up their lives and never learn anything. Very attractive people will want to have sex with Frank and it will be presented without comment. I think this was the whole problem with the show. Who in their right mind would want to fuck Frank? Completely scuzzy and repugnant, obviously hasn't bathed in weeks, yet still scores with normal women. If someone better-looking than Macy had originally been cast, you could see why they still had some appeal, despite having gone somewhat to pot. Imagine an Alec Baldwin type who you could tell was really handsome in his youth and who'd aged badly but could still turn on the charm when necessary. Would make the rest of the bullshit a little more believable.

I don't find any of the Gallagher's to be particularly good looking except for Fiona and Carl but unfortunately Ethan is like the white Gary Coleman he hasn't grown in 10 years. (As a side note I wish I could have heard Ethan's never released interview with Dylan Geick) but I digress. Elliott Tittensor who played Carl on the British series started out as tiny but grew into a really good looking hottie but poor Ethan stayed the same.

I always thought the gut guy who played Lipp looked like he in a product of inbreeding and I never understood why every girl within a 100 yd of him wanted to have sex with him. I mean it's not like he even had a good personality to fall back on.

R100 Both Lip and Mickey are so ugly, but women lose their minds over both of them. I was happy to see Gallavich finally get a happy ending, but that should have been the series finale. This show ran out of ideas years ago, it's a shame it's getting one last season.

You are also correct about Ethan's height. He is painfully short and a mediocre actor at best. I don't see him continuing to work after this show wraps. Jeremy White is short and ugly, but he is a trained dancer and decent actor. He might be able to go the theater route once Shameless ends.

I only watch the Ian & Mickey scenes on YouTube at this stage, zero interest in the rest of the show. 'Gallavitch' are still the most engaging gay coupling I've ever seen on TV and, despite the unfathomable collapse of the Shameless writers' room these past few seasons, I will stick it out till the end.
