Jessica Lange in playing Marlene Dietrich
[quote]Do you know what you’re going to collaborate on with Ryan next?
[quote]Yeah. We’re trying to develop this piece on Dietrich, from those kind of Las Vegas years to the end. We’ve got a really good script that Michael Cristofer wrote. At one time, Ryan thought he might want to direct it but he’s got a thousand other things that are going on. I don’t particularly want to wait. So, if we can get this going next year it’ll be great. Ryan will produce and I can sing like Dietrich because she had a very limited range.

R5 Oh, M... You’re so adorably transparent in this interview, especially at the 4 minute mark.

Jessica is roughly a decade older than Marlene when she did her Las Vegas residency. And Marlene looked remarkably ageless then. They're going to have to digitally de-age Lange or use heavy makeup. I'm all for this, but it seems like a retread of her Lange's Elsa character in AHS.

R7 She’ll pull it off nonetheless and serve us one of her epic late-career portrayals.
Watch “Grey Gardens” and “Feud” back to back and tell me you don’t want some Marlene next....
