Any guesses?
Who is the whistleblower?

Ivanka. She wants her reputation back.

by Anonymous | reply 38 | September 25, 2019 3:11 AM |
R38, yeah, after what happened to Epstein, they need to make sure this one gets proper protection.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | September 25, 2019 3:17 AM |
I'm alive and well (but still a flight risk).
by Anonymous | reply 40 | September 25, 2019 3:53 AM |
Too late, R38, they should have thrown him out a window when they still had the chance and that was a while back.
Now the Complaint has been filed and from the sound of it, it's extensive and multi-faceted. The trump-appointed Inspector General has reviewed this complaint, found it to be both credible and urgent and has written his own report on it. The DNI is the one who *shall* deliver the Complaint and the IG's Report on the Complaint to the Congressional committees (Intelligence in both House and Senate).
So there's The Whistleblower. There's the IG and a bunch of people in his office. There's the DNI and the White House in general and tons of people in that shitshow, there's DoJ of course because they are now the personal law firm for the Douchebag in Chief, so a bunch of those guys have seen it. Maybe the Mueller Report "Summary Crew" is taking a crack at it.
Dozens of people have seen the Complaint and the Report already. The White House leaks like a sieve, congress isn't much better.
The only outfit in DC I've ever seen that didn't leak was Robert Mueller's Special Counsel's Office.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | September 25, 2019 4:10 AM |
My money is on Dan Coats.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | September 25, 2019 4:13 AM |
r42 Exactly. This would be optimal (and make a lot of sense - the timing, etc.) and I'd wager the full whistleblower report is not (just) Ukraine and Biden's son - that would not rise to the standard of "urgent."
by Anonymous | reply 43 | September 25, 2019 4:26 AM |
I still want to know who that “Anonymous” writer was last year. Can’t believe his/her identity was never leaked (or revealed by Trump- you know he’s investigated it.)
by Anonymous | reply 44 | September 25, 2019 4:44 AM |
If it is Dan Coats, do you think Republicans like Miss Lindsay or Chuck Grassley or John Cornyn will try to discredit him? I mean, the did serve in the Senate with him. Do you think they would betray him for Trump?
by Anonymous | reply 45 | September 25, 2019 4:44 AM |
Its someone who still works there.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | September 25, 2019 5:03 AM |
Does anyone have any insight on why Dan Coats interrupted a meeting to make sure Sue Gordon resigned as soon as possible?

[quote]If it is Dan Coats, do you think Republicans like Miss Lindsay or Chuck Grassley or John Cornyn will try to discredit him? I mean, the did serve in the Senate with him. Do you think they would betray him for Trump?
Yes. They would throw their own former Senate colleague under the bus in order to appease Trump.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | September 25, 2019 5:28 AM |
Hope Trump and his minions falsify the transcript.
So far the guy at the center of the scandal, who could verify what went down- Zelensky- has lockjaw. What's he hiding? Maybe his puppetmaster won't let him talk?

R50 Well, I think there will never be a Big One in the current tribal climate. Even if the putative scandalous pee tape was released, or receipts of money laundered from Ruski Oligarchs, or burning the Constitution in the middle of Fifth Ave... Trump knows none of it will matter to "his folk." I think it's incorrect to think that reasonable Americans continue to hope for The Big One to impeach Trump. It is correct to think that reasonable Americans are disturbed by corruption and abuse of power. This latest behavior with Ukraine is abhorrent, will be investigated as a part of an impeachment inquiry. Period. Don't need to hope that Trump's followers will be "moved" to agree.

Miss Lindsay called the memo (not transcript) of the phone call a nothing burger.
She’s so 2017.
She also is insinuating the FBI is a spy organization.

HILLARY CLINTON
by Anonymous | reply 61 | September 25, 2019 4:38 PM |
It would be delicious if it were Bolton, but that wouldn't make sense unless he believed that a) Pence would certainly take over (and not be tarred with the same brush), and b) that Pence would give him free rein to declare war on brown-skinned people. The second element is for certes, but I'm not sure that he would risk Pelosi accidentally getting hold of the reins of power.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | September 25, 2019 6:21 PM |
I would love for it to be Hillary. Working behind the scenes to bring Trump down. After all, the Repugs were going to harass her for her entire presidency, with the goal of impeachment.
The "lockerup" chant is one of the lowest parts of the Trump campaign/Presidency. Just deplorable, like his fans.
The irony is that Trump is the one in jail. He hates the White House; hates being President (except the rallies); hates the aging wife he's stuck with indefinitely; hates losing millions of dollars while he's incarcerated; hates being away from his gold-encrusted palaces...
And he can't abandon office because lawsuits and possible jail time/heavy fines/humiliation awaits him on the 'outside'.

The minge has been disgusted by the actions of Trump and has finally rebelled against Kellyanne by leaking confidential information to the press.

by Anonymous | reply 74 | September 26, 2019 1:30 AM |
Well, whoever it is: what the whistle blew was enough to rouse the reluctant Ms. Pelosi from her lethargy and go full tilt boogie. It has to be good shit.
Funny. All Trump had to do is be a Reagan-type President and leave all the hard stuff to the adults. Just come out and cut ribbons, makes speeches and wave. Take naps. But he couldn't even do that. His morally corrupt personality seeped through and tainted everything he touched, every word he said, every person he hired/fired.
That might have worked in Manhattan. But apparently D.C. will be his Waterloo.
