Matt Reeves, the director, is going for a younger depiction of Batman.

Also, word is that Jonah Hill is still deciding whether he'll play Penguin or The Riddler. He wants 10 mil for the picture, which is more than double of what Pattinson's supposed to make.

It's shaping up to be another down cycle of Batman movies.

I was interested in the Pattinson Batman, but if the cast an annoying hack like Hill— no thanks. That guy is the cinematic equivalent of hemorrhoids.

Have no interest in seeing any Batman film with Robert Pattinson. And I say this as someone who LIKES Robert Pattinson as an actor.

The casting antics of these comics movies are as much part of the entertainment as the movies themselves. I don’t know if I like Jonah in this role, but can’t think of another I’d rather, so eh, whatever.

Pattinson is an interesting choice for Batman.

Here's a thought: if you want more black/asian/trans/whatever characters in Batman, WRITE NEW AND COMPELLING BLACK/ASIAN/TRANS/WHATEVER CHARACTERS.

They did it with Cassandra Cain in the comics. And everybody likes Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox in the Bale films.

I did not like Heath Ledger in his role as “Joker”.

I wish they'd stop casting Jonah Hill altogether. I can't stand to see or hear him.

I have always wondered whose child Jonah Hill saved from certain death. There is no other explanation for his career.

There was this creepy guy that curated for some rich dude. He threw a party at his employer's mansion and I went with a couple friends. Creepy guy crawled into the bed I ended up crashing in and started putting the moves on me. I kindly told him I wasn't interested and he freaked the fuck out and almost threw me out. He was a dead ringer for Jonah Hill.

There are a few actors whose movies I do not watch. Too painful. Jonah is one of them.

And here I thought they couldn't cast anyone more annoying than Jesse Eisenburg as Lex Luthor. Wow, ok. I was wrong, they really can.

Oh yeah I refuse to watch Eisenberg too. Also Sandler.

They should be doing a Mr Freeze story loosely based on the classic and Emmy winning episode of Batman: The Animated Series, “Heart of Ice”.

I'm wondering if Mr Freeze might show up on one of the CW shows instead. His wife made an appearance on Batwoman last year.

This film sounds like a horrible CW show. What a mess.

I don’t why people are so bemused by the continued success of Jonah Hill. He’s a fat, ugly talentless Jew living in Jew Town, with parents who were already working in the entertainment business.

I don't like Pattinson being cast as Bruce Wayne/Batman at all, I find him offensively ugly and lacking in any kind of charisma.

Jeffrey Wright is cool.

Jonah Hill is good in Superbad and the 21/22 Jump Street movies but I am struggling to think of anything else I've seen him in, I don't know if he's a good pick for this or not.

Overall I'm not that excited about yet another iteration of Batman and I'd rather DC looked to other characters. They wonder why their films can't reach the heights of Marvel and part of it is their sloppy planning and lack of cohesive world-building which is impossible to do with constant reboots.

One of the stories it's believed they are taking inspiration for this Batman is "The Long Halloween".

My favorite Penguin is Robin Taylor. DeVito was excellent too.

Jonah Hill dropped out? Say what you will about the guy but he has an eye for interesting projects, that's not a good sign for this film.

Jonah Hill is disgusting and comes off like such a humorless prick in interviews. All around gross.

Jonah was responsible for the abomination known as Alan Gregory. I have hated him in everything he has ever been in, with the partial exception of "Wolf of Wall Street".

He will win the Oscar if he ever plays Divine.
